Oh I have those Okie, they are so comfy. And I wore them out of the house the first time I wore them. I think with a long top they don't look too casual at all. Especially a tunic top or short dress. I am going to get some more.

OkieCokie · 27/10/2010 10:25

I have 2 pairs too. The first pair went in the dryer and now they are calf length!

Scorpette · 27/10/2010 11:39

I have found a temporary cure for morning sickness! Have a certain wondrous PESH called PollyPoo send you a birthday gift package of deliciousness and other delights!

Am I allowed to tuck in even though the big day isn't till Friday?

PollTax, you really are fabulous. Thank you thank you THANK YOU! [hgrin]

Check out the undies in the right hand corner of your link Okie! Sexy!

BarbiesBeaver · 27/10/2010 11:50

Just wanted to say a huge good luck for Lorry tomorrow.

rollerbaby · 27/10/2010 12:58

polly can I have brownies too pleeeeeeze? Maybe you can do BESH/PESH mailorder? :)

I'm thinking about making a lemon drizzle cake later on. Only thinking mind...

Saw MW today. Couldn't get her to look at my foofy for love or money, they won't go up there til next week when I have less time to argue about things. Bit annoying really.

silver when they examined you, did it really hurt? I had that before when I thought I might be leaking fluid and when into the hospital but was too embarrassed to tell you lot - I thought it might be me!! Hard to believe I get bashful isn't it?

He's still engaged but not too much happening today, just feel really really tired and not bouncy like yesterday. Dog woke me at 5am again and I couldn't get back to sleep... grrrr. So might go and have a sleep shortly. I'm not up for him deciding to come out today.

Had v nice coffees with the hippo ladies yesterday. 2 more fast and positive births with hippo techniques... their babies were gorgeous and I had a little cuddle with one who promptly fell asleep on my bump which was very tear inducing as you can imagine...

Then had lovely burger, chips and pud with okie afterwards. She is all knowing about child related ishoos and very useful. I must remember to take notes next time. Only downside was forgetting where car parked after I left and wandered up and down 3 roads trying to find the monster vehicle.

muse have fun in north. lozz bet you are excited!

TwinkleToes76 · 27/10/2010 13:09

Okie just looked at that baby names list and I'm gutted at how popular my own name has become in the past 3 years! Didn't feature anywhere near the top 100 until about 2007 and a certain hollywood starlet ruined it all! Now every other child in the playgound is called my name. Waah.

Yes, much luck for tomorrow's dildocam Lozza

Medee · 27/10/2010 13:25

I've just said yes to Take That tickets - Terminator will be 3 months old. Am I mental?

rollerbaby · 27/10/2010 13:30

Nope. Me and Mr Moo have booked ages ago to see Roxy Music at the O2 in Feb when ickle Moo will be 3-4 months. I know, Bryan Ferry is my guilty pleasure... god love the old dude. Surely will have cracked expressing/bottle feeding by then????

rocketleaf · 27/10/2010 13:36

Good luck for tomorrow lozzeroo Funny I thought you were due after me for some reason. My due date is the 3rd of June, the very first date that TT are playing Manc. I am going to buy a ticket anyway and go for sneezing it out in the middle of Rule the World and getting Gary as to be god father (think he would be a better influence than Robbie)

scorps OMGTWINZ!! really? when is your scan? I think I have a bit of a bump but pretty sure its just from bloating and over eating.

AlpinePony · 27/10/2010 13:43

okie Am delighted Bear's names are not on that list - however I see it covers only England & Wales... although I can pretty much guarantee he's the only one in this town! Wink Although, according to muser's "am I pregnant?" internet test, the name chosen is actually his... how did the internet KNOW? Shock

AlpinePony · 27/10/2010 13:45

medee/honey I think you're doing the right thing. If you can't "bear" to be apart from your T1000 at 3 months then you've either got PND (going slightly bonkers) or you're going to get it imminently. You need "grown-up" time too. I was out all afternoon Saturday and when I got home I was going to offer to walk the dogs to give jailbait the evening off... one look at his face when I stepped through the door told me he needed 20 minutes on his own to save his sanity.

OkieCokie · 27/10/2010 13:48

What I failed to mention about meeting up with moo yesterday is that she turns up looking all glam in posh frock and tights and being all elegant and that while I turn up in hurty jeans, scruffy t-shirt already with a coffee stain on from previously in the day and scruffy converse. I then proceeded to spill half my pud down my t-shirt - I am so glam me.

Right, I have been to hossie about toof and I am booked in to have it extracted 12 days after due date. Fucking nightmare given that I will probably be breastfeeding and will want to be sedated to have it done. Oh well, will just have to cross that bridge when I come to it. Mr C may just have to bring baybeee to me and wang it on while I am out of it. Toof man was pretty flexible on me changing dates and stuff but at least I feel happier knowing the end is in sight for the pain. There was no way he was interested in doing it before, I think he was scared of me going into labour during the process.

Foo Fighters playing live same weekend as TT. I am so excited I could wet myself (not difficult ATM) and I will be gutted if I don't get tickets for either..

laurielou · 27/10/2010 13:58

Thanks for the good wishes for tomorrow. moo do I sound a real bitch if I say no, I'm not really excited Sad. I hope there's nowt too wrong with me mentally but I'm really struggling to actually believe I'm diffed. Really struggling. I've a horrible feeling I'm going to make a right arse of myself tomorrow - either scream or cry (real crying with big gulps & snot).

Oh God, confession time - I am turing into Stacey from Gavin & Stacey. I've bought another pregnany test to do tonight, just to make sure I'm not wasting hospital time tomorrow. Go on, slap me. I'm being a twat aren't I?

Also, the only bump I have is from eating too much. I can't stop, its disgusting. And I was hardly Kate Moss to begin with Blush

Scorpette · 27/10/2010 14:43

Rocket, is NOT confirmed at all I'm having twinzzz - is only people winding me up about having a visible bump so early on! My Mum says she started showing v early on so it's no doubt a mixture of early-bump genes and fat bastadry.

Huzzah, my name isn't on the list nor are any of the names we like so far (please note: only girls', as TYF hates all boys' names). Nor are Clothilda and Cthuluella, for some reason. [hgrin]

Lozza, your nerves and struggling and mixed emotions are totally understandable. You were TTC for so long (far, far more than is humanely fair) that it must seem unreal and, after so much heartbreak and feeling like it would never happen, it's completely natural that your mind would protect you from getting too excited. You can only cope with so many ups and downs, old chap. If I remember rightly, Cho struggled with similar feelings after her win. The longer it takes, the more the heart needs to put up a shell.

Don't worry about your reaction tomorrow - those peeps will have seen every reaction in the book and a bit of screaming and snotting will probably not even raise an eyebrow And afterwards, you can start believing it IS real, huzzah!

Even though I believe I'm pg, at the mo it just feels like I have a really evil tummy bug that's not going away. One which also gives me the Norks of Agony, mental sense of smell, hideously vivid dreams, worse flatulence than an old dog, constipated diarrhoea and the propensity to cry at adverts for chips [hhmm] I will be a blubbering fool at my scan and no mistake [hsmile]

Okie, am glad you've got a date sorted out for the toofy-byebye (I'm starting early on the babytalk!). Okay, so waiting doesn't help with the pain now but at least the end is nigh

PS I bet you looked gorg too.

Do you think I could place said tooth under my pillow and gain lotto style payout for grief it has given me in such an untimely way?

Scorpette · 27/10/2010 14:57

What if you woke up and The Rock (like in that dreadful Tooth Fairy film) was in your room with a sack of tenners?!

OP posts:
laurielou · 27/10/2010 15:35

scorps I heart you. Thanks for not calling me a mad hell-bitch & calling SS already. I also have all the symptoms you mention, but see it more as an annoying bug. However, I don't have the tears, more Shock look.

PerfectDromedary · 27/10/2010 15:52

Lozza No one would call you a mad hell-bitch for not believing in the pregnancy yet. It's kind of weird how early we know that we are pregnant - my mum didn't know for sure until 12 weeks, as home pregnancy tests weren't widely available in the 70s.

I didn't get excited about this pregnancy until after the scan. It didn't seem that real until that point (and also I was shit-scared that I'd get attached to the idea of this baby and then I'd actually be Mary Tudor or similar).

I think is quite common for wimminz who have struggled to get pregnant to find it hard to believe in the reality of the pregnancy. Doesn't mean anything in terms of your chances of being a good, bad or indifferent mother, I reckon.

So even if you don't have a snotty, teary, film moment at the scan tomorrow, IT WILL ALL BE FINE. And if you do have a total breakdown, that will be fine too. Will be thinking about you.

rollerbaby · 27/10/2010 15:58

lorry do NOT worry, you are not mental. You are normal. I was shizzing myself before the 12 and 20 week scans... hence why I kept having little inbetween ones too... And yep cried buckets at the 12 week one. So much so the woman had to stop scanning due to my heaving sobbing relieved abdomen preventing her from doing alot. So.. yes you will be nervous but I hope you will also be very happy tomorrow. xx

okie that dress was 2 days on and one of 2 things that fit me (can't get near jeans now)... other than tracksuit with doggy slobber. You are nice though. Good news on toofy bye bye :)

The name list is really hard. Our first choice is at the top of the list, another one is a bit further down and third one (outside choice) is around the 50 mark. I'm so torn either to go fuck it yes we are unoriginal fools. Or fuck it, I LIKE the name, it was my grandad's name and why should I not call my child it, cos half of Warrington have? I like the further down one but don't like the possible abbreviations... Oh gawd, we'll never decide beforehand.

PerfectDromedary · 27/10/2010 16:08

Honey At least if you don't decide beforehand, you won't get upset if the baby doesn't look like the name you want to use.

We can't decide on a girl's name. This baby better be a boy.

Quite love the spreadsheet showing the changes in the popularity of names between 1904 and 1994, or whatever it is. Probably useful for scorps - I suspect that some of her choices made the top 100 in 1904!

MrsFC · 27/10/2010 16:08

lorry, I agree - the first scan is scary as fuck - you just want everything to be ok. I was obsessed with the CBD tests to check my levels were still rising. If you are Stacey, please can I be Nessa?

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow xx

Scorpette · 27/10/2010 16:09

Oh, I've called SS, but I don't think you're a mad bitch [hwink]

OP posts:
rollerbaby · 27/10/2010 16:17

perfect I never understand this whole "see what the baby looks like"... I can't really imagine thinking, nope you're definitely a Duncan etc, but people do say it, don't they. I just noticed my either/or made absolutely no sense... My use of english is failing me. How am I supposed to name a child?

Scorpette · 27/10/2010 16:21

How dare you, Drom? 1904 would be far too recent for me and TYF! [hgrin]

Nah, tis troo that we only seem to like Old People's Names (TYF is worse than me, loving all the real clunkers). We have the opposite problem to you, Drom, as, as I said above, TYF hates all boys' names. We can always swap if we get both get our no-name flavour, like when my friend Elaine got Lemon Meringue and I got Blueberry Muffin Strawberry Shortcake dolls and we both wanted the other one.

We were 29 at the time. BOOM BOOM!
