I know it's fucking criminal. We should be given Mama Mio on prescription.

Also DO NOT buy tights from JoJo Maman. Mothercare are farrrrrr superior.

rocketleaf · 24/10/2010 20:50

Always had really good skin until we started TTC and since then I've had a succession of horrible huge blind spots on my chin. Which I found out the other day in TCM is considered to be connected to the reproductive system. Weird huh?

rollerbaby · 24/10/2010 20:53

Well I've got a really gross one in a place I wouldn't want anyone to see, and they just bloody might if it doesn't go down in a week. Grin TMI sozzer but it is quite funny to spend £30 on a wax to impress the midwives and then get a zit on yer arse. Mr Moo mucho guffawed.

Scorpette · 24/10/2010 20:53

Hehheh, I actually deleted that comment Moomoo [hgrin] The Wagner joke was tewtally worth repeating, yup!

Spots and stretchmarks... when do I get a break? Sad Even my hair, which is the one thing I can usually feel good about, is lank and rubbish.

My Mum has 2 - TWO! - stretchmarks from her pgs, which are both just above her bum crack, ie no-one will ever see them (except for me getting the honour of a viewing of my mater's arse). And she put on 5 stone with my brother. And she was all glowing and gorgeous and superfit, etc. Life is unfair.

moo I'll join that campaign fo' sho' esp as preggos are exempt from script fees. I like your forts.

HI have gone off all the names we had in mind. Major balls. What to do!

rollerbaby · 24/10/2010 21:01

Take name book into hossie with a double sided coin Grin.

Scorpette · 24/10/2010 21:03

Where do I get a maternity exemption stickyfoot from?

Scorpette · 24/10/2010 21:04

Oh, I think there's one in the pack the MW gave me Ignore last post!

Midwife should give you one soon. It iz very quick coming I found, but never actually needed to show anyone as was always bleedin obvious if you see what I mean.

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 21:06

I can see us having the child with no name for the full six weeks. Choosing a name is so tuff. We were kind of sorted but we've had a change of heart. By the time this baybee arrives we'll probably have changed our minds again.

OkieCokie · 24/10/2010 21:07

I only got stretch marks when I went 8 days overdue last time. Put it this way, I doubt I will be able to wear a bikini again - ever. I can?t decipher which are previous stretch marks and which are new Sad

Tonight I have been puked by mini moo. It went down my bra and in my hair and everywhere. Had to take a bath and wash my hair to de-puke and missed most of X factor. Mr C heard something and panicked shouting up the stairs if I had fallen out of the bath - no that was just me hauling my massive whale like body out of it.

I quite like X-factor Matt.

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 21:08

Exemption card - mine came in the post and is only valid from sumfink like 20/25 wks.

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 21:11

cokie talking of baths. I got stuck this morning and HI helped haul me out and in doing so haz split the bath panel due to the extreme pressure exerted upon it in order to winch me out.

Hope miniO is better now tummy is empty.

OkieCokie · 24/10/2010 21:11

Silv we are not sorted on names either. My mum thinks it is mad that we have had about 9 months to work this out and still can not agree. We were fairly sorted about 2 weeks ago but we are doubting our boys one due to not liking one name that it could be potentially shortened to. We agree we could probably control this until school age but not after. I think it is hard picking names...

OkieCokie · 24/10/2010 21:13

Fuck me - you broke the bath? Wonder if house insurance covers breakage to items due to lardy pregnancy sizes?

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 21:16

Technically HI broke the bath panel with his knee........ think i'll hit the slim fast from tmw.

T'other ishoo with names is other people having the names already etc and whether it goes with our surname and any shortened versions. Perhaps easier to call the child IT.

Muser · 24/10/2010 21:17

The secret with names is to pretend to agree, then once partner has seen you go through labour say "his/her name is X". See if he can disagree at that point. Worked for someone I know.

Muser · 24/10/2010 21:26

I have had a modest portion of toad in the hole (I managed 1 and a half sausages) and am about ready to explode. There's meant to be apple pie for afters as well. Damn this shrunken pregnancy stomach. I want PIE.

OkieCokie · 24/10/2010 21:26

Yes, at the end of the day the woman has the final say in the name IMO.

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 21:31

I am counting on that VERY fact. There is one boys name I really like and no one else we know has it and it goes with our surname. Therefore I am hoping that once HI sees me in absolute agony and is then very proud and in awe of me that he gives in. Well that's the plan. Again don't hold ya breath.

rollerbaby · 24/10/2010 21:33

Yes I also heard that immediately post birth and you holding baybee, no man will deny you ANYTHING. :)

I haz a technique for getting out of bath which involves squidging myself round onto front, getting on all fours and then standing up. Sounds ridiculous, but SO much easier than trying to sit up. And our bath has handles!

okie poor mini okie. Was it the shock of ice show?

What is this shrunken pregnancy stomach? I have not had this yet...

SilverSky · 24/10/2010 21:33

muse send the pie my way!

Medee · 24/10/2010 21:50

hello, back from weekend away. I have had no issues with my appetite this weekend, scoffed loads!

Scorpette · 24/10/2010 22:00

Oh God, the heartburn, the heartburn! The only thing I've got in to eat that wouldn't take ages to cook is a Jalfrezi ready meal - I don't think it would help! So sick and so hungry... and the thought of food is unbearable! And now it's 10pm! WAAAAAAAAAAAH!

OP posts:
Muser · 24/10/2010 22:29

My answer would be toast Scorps but I fear that is on your allergy list.

honeymoo I get full very quickly now. I was putting it down to stomach shrinkage from the first trimester vom fest and baby expansion meaning stomach has less space. I can still eat a lot of food, just not all at once.

As I have had a fair few French Fancies and a large bar of Galaxy over the course of the day, I guess I don't really need the pie.
