Excellent! I trust you more than my own doc and Dr Google combined, y'know (is it wrong to have a crush on your physician? Wink)

I shall take my tablets like a good girl and hopefully be 100% less smug and tedious by the end of the month! Grin

Is weird that I've felt much better the last two days. Seems to be a bit of a pattern Mon-Tues/Wed feeling shite. Rest of the week feel ok. I HAD put this down to being in work but have been in the office and yesterday so that doesn't work. I THINK it might be to do with getting enough sleep. Have been getting very early nights the last 2 night and obv when I WFH or on my days off am getting a few more hours in so I think as long as I get to bed before 10 the night before I have to be in the office I should be OK. Fingers x'ed its not just random!

Hope the tabs work for you scorpelina

Where is lozzer? :(

And our 3 nearly there's have gone very quiet. hmm.

Scorpette · 21/10/2010 16:17

Leafy, I always seem to be worse on a Friday and Saturday, which, as I am Dole Scum, has no bearing on working hours. Verr odd.

cass I hear you on pus. Meat inspection was part of my uni course and we were drilled in the 5 symptoms of infection thus: dolor, rubor, tumor, calor, functio laesa. I recite it whenever Hom feels unwell, i.e. daily.

PollyPoo · 21/10/2010 16:57

My idiot sister managed to announce the arrival of our niece on my nice sister's FB page. I would have fecking killed her. Reminds me... I must either give her stern talking to before I lay, or just disable facecrack for a while.

Where is MooMa? Is she laying? I think my bet was for today... come on Moo... PUUUUUUUSHHH!

rollerbaby · 21/10/2010 17:44

Nope sozzer no baybees coming out just yet! I have had busy days of people coming and going so no idle loitering on MN unfortunately. Doula just left and we said goodbye until the big day. Electrician has been to sort out plugs in the baybee room and I've now got to go and get ready for NCT girlie knees up. I'm knackered though so need to find my mojo.

I bet this baybee comes in about 3 weeks time, honestly.

ChoChoSan · 21/10/2010 17:51

My BF just had her baybee! EXCITE!!!!

Re. Smoking.

I have just been an anti social smoker for years, except immediately after mcs. I don't smoke near kids, and always washed my hands etc before going near babies after smoking, but that's not because I think a wisp of chemical would hurt babies, but because I don't want to be known as Stinky Aunty Cho, like Patty and Selma!

I don't want anyone smoking over my baby, but not bothered if they just smell a bit smoky and want a cuddle...not the nicest thing to smell on a baby, but I just don't believe its an issue (the lingering smell that is, not second hand smoke)...though I wouldn't want nmy baby to smell like King Zog of Albania all the time!

SilverSky · 21/10/2010 18:39

To confirm buddy at NCT will be laying before me less I squeeze junior out sharpish. Met our first NCT baby. Uber uber uber tiny and uber uber cute and the most uber uber chilled out parentals.

No baybee movements here tho can feel pressure on my wotzit and also FJ has reduced a lot. Is the FJ a sign?!

Casserole · 21/10/2010 18:58

Oh God. Violent puking whilst MrStew at evening work meeting and hyperactive Ministew hitting me on back with frisbee shouting "What you doing Mummy? My turn!"

Sad
rocketleaf · 21/10/2010 19:19

Oh cass!! poor you, sounds dreadful. Let ministew get a bit nearer your puke. Sure to put him off (actually maybe not, kids are grotty sometimes) :(

Casserole · 21/10/2010 19:39

Bless him, he knelt down by the loo next to me and said "My turn Mummy" Smile Sad

Prob my own fault; I knew I didn't fancy what we had in for dinner but figured I was just being fussy as haven't puked in a week or so now. Well it's back to fussy!

It's ok now. Just put him to bed, MrStew has just arrived home, and I'm now in bed with a cuppa and about to start revising for the evening. No pus tonight though, can't face that...

OkieCokie · 21/10/2010 19:48

I still have my money on baby moo for 3rd Nov. I am not sure about Silv, maybe this Sunday, yes I reckon this Sunday. I am hoping for 4/5/6/7 Nov lay for me. I had to endure 8 days late last time so I am hoping this one can be a bit more timely. I strongly think wit will queue jump both me and moo but not silv. That is the word according to me.

Cass sorry to hear about the vom which is not great combined with revision stress AND frsibee throwing.

Medee · 21/10/2010 19:55

oh, cass, that sounds grim (though also a smidge funny - think it was the frisbee detail)

PollyPoo · 21/10/2010 20:39

Oh cass you poor thing! That sounds grim.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 21/10/2010 20:55

Had a good snigger at the "smug" and "tedious" interpretation of the midwife's shorthand.Grin Am very impressed with the practical skills demonstrated by cass though! I also like cunty 's list and may try to commit it to memory. It has a poetic ring.Wink

Smoking debate: well, I used to smoke years ago in my wild uni days and then I stopped because I was crap at it and was constantly sick with bronchitis and coughs and ting. But never really turned rabidly against it though I would never ever go back to it myself. I'm lucky though: I genuinely hardly know a single person who smokes so I don't have to figure out a policy as regards baby and smokers. La la. Lazy intellectual approach hurrah.

honey are you half Irish so, sistah?

okie I'm interested in your predictions, but I hope I don't jump the queue too wildly. I'll loose a week of mat leave if I don't take it before the baby is born and I don't start it until 38 weeks on 1st Nov, so I hope to hang on another while...

Aw Cho, nice to have a BF going through the same thing. And lots of possibilities for borrowing new-born essentials the second her baby grows out of them . Wink

Scorpette · 22/10/2010 00:34

Poor Cass Sad Hope you're feeling a lot better now. MiniStew sounds adorable - what a little sweetie :)

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/1067353-Hilariously-PFB-Blog Grin I bet she doesn't eat risotto.

Loujalou · 22/10/2010 08:27

My house looks just like that [hhmm] where does someone get the time for all that? Have seen blog before, as they have another child. The baby is not even born ffs.

Poor Cass sickness sounds awful. Hope you are better soon.

Anyway this weekend we are going to a wedding in Suffolk and its got a medieval theme. The bride is wearing a themed dress and the groom a full suit of armour with a sword and chain mail. I have never been to a themed wedding before so should be interesting. We are thinking of dressing Adi up as a mini-knight. Though won't be hiring costumes for the evening!

PollyPoo · 22/10/2010 09:48

I am scared by that blog. Surely people don't really live like that?

rollerbaby · 22/10/2010 10:05

witwoo I most surely am. As my mother constantly reminds me anyway. Nuffink occurring here today, crampy BH in the night which is becoming fairly normal now anyway. now get back in the queue! :)

cass poor you with the sickness. Your little one does sound very sweet and very empathetic bless him.

Having a lazy day today after too much racing about yesterday.

rollerbaby · 22/10/2010 10:06

polly I found that blog quite scary actually. too much time on her hands clearly.

rocketleaf · 22/10/2010 10:08

I think there's an element of bullshit going on. Surely she tidies up before taking any of the pics? Heavy editing is the key to an idyllic lifestyle. [hwink]

Muser · 22/10/2010 10:23

I cannot bring myself to look at it.

My belly appears to have expanded again overnight. Does anyone else get a bit of a shock in the morning when confronted with the belly? I did a "what the hell is that"? double take this morning.

I am in maternity jeans and trying to hold them up with TBG's belt which only just fits me. I think I'm going to have to lose the belt as it has to go under bump and it's bloody uncomfortable. Falling down jeans it is.

rocketleaf · 22/10/2010 10:26

Use a scarf muse you can tie it a bit looser and its softer. (plus you get to look like a hippy)

ChoChoSan · 22/10/2010 10:37

Muse I do get the same thing with the belly... I think it's because I get up in a rush and crash into bed knackered every night when I am so busy at work during the week that I don't really take stock - then by the time weekend comes I feel 'whooah!' when I look in the mirror with another week's growth on Grin
