muse enjoy it.

Well well PESHs only four msgs y'day asking me if I have sneezed yet. In the end I turned my phone orf. Then I get another One this morning asking if I am ok cos they didn't hear back from me y'day. Ahhhh man - plz to leave me in peace.

HI haz called and told me he'll give me fifty squids if I lay today. HE IS BORED OF WAITING. Give me strength.

Got a few chores to do today as did diddly squat round the house y'day so once I have finished watching this movie I taped. I may unload the dishwasher, do the dusting and put the clean laundry away. Huge emphasis on the "may" as I may well not.

Done my main chores for the day eg those involving four legged beasties so will see how I feel later as have been awake since sodding 440am!!! GAH!!!

honeypiemoopoo how's ya aches and pains?? I woke up feeling bit sick but think I imagined it. Thought unfelt a bit periody again this morning but I just needed the loo. However i am feeling preeeeeeeeety good. Apart from lazy! What's new there! Nowt!

AlpinePony · 19/10/2010 10:24

silver Offer him double or quits - if he can lay the baybee today you'll give him 100 quid. Twat! Wink

Btw - sick? periody? pooey? Hmm

MrsFC · 19/10/2010 10:30

Ooh silver, I am in awe of your restraint. Esp with the double texting. How did you reply?

As for HI, I like mylittlepony's suggestion. Either that or say that you are enjoying the peace & you hope nothing happens for the next four weeks.

Glad you feel better muse. As soon as you've had the big-boy-grown-up scan it all feels much better I think. And then the kicking (whilst a bit annoying sometimes) is SO reassuring.

6 weeks left at work. That's 18 days that is.

Muser · 19/10/2010 12:03

I like the double or quits plan silver. Do it!

MrsFC: 6 weeks! Wow, that's going to zoom by. I have looked at the notlist and you should be about eighth, not where you are. Once silver and honeymoo drop you're going to be very near the top. Exciting!

I am still grinning like a fool. But just to show I'm still a DHB I shall dish out some Glasgow Kisses to you all.

rollerbaby · 19/10/2010 12:18

Am loving the happy vibes in the hoose! Good times.

silver nowt occurring this end. Average night's sleep, gassed for 1 hour on the phone this morning and Mr Moo made me porridge for the first time ever. I loves him I do.

Little hairy moo has got a limp from our lovely walk last night. Don't know what I did to him but he's definitely not walking right. We're off the vets shortly. Little monkey... hopefully just a mild pulled muscle which will heal on its own. He doesn't seem too bothered anyway.

Doula was supposed to come today but texted me from another birth last night... Gah! Hope I don't lay today! Not that going through my birth plan is likely to make the slightest bit of difference to anything! She is officially on call for me from today though so no one else can have her...

CUNextTuesday · 19/10/2010 12:38

mooz it was Maggie Howell's 'effective birth preparation for hospital/birth centre' available on Ebay for about 15 coins.

PerfectDromedary · 19/10/2010 13:28

I haz had scan; baybee is all well and happy and quite large. Hurrah! I will be joining Muse in the inane grins corner.

Medee · 19/10/2010 13:30

whoop, whoop! That's ace news Drom.

SilverSky · 19/10/2010 13:31

PESHs if he calls me again I will. Just had a bath and had four, yep, four, missed calls from him.

Had more periody pains in the bath but they went off again. Stupidly told HI his and he asked if I need him to come home from work. Errrrr no!

Felt one occurrence of tightening a the bottom of my bump but again gone off. I do wonder if i am making it all up.

Caught sight if myself in thr mirror starkers. Not pretty! Oh and the stretch marks are spreading like wildfire. The tube map looks less busy in comparison. There goes my modelling career.

For the double texter I changed the topic of conversation. Job done.

Poor hairymoo. Hopefully something trivial.

SilverSky · 19/10/2010 13:33

Joint parteeeee for Drom and muse to celebrate. Pate anyone??

Muser · 19/10/2010 13:36

Yay Drom, glad everything was ok.

rollerbaby · 19/10/2010 14:07

Fabulous news drom. Did you get a good look at the baybee and see it's little face?

Dog is fine. Have k9 ibuprofen and he seems happy enough. Lesley Joseph was in our vets as we were paying. Hairy moo was sitting nicely looking up at her but she didnt even say hello. Seems she is immune to his charm. Beeatch. Thats the last time I ever watch Birds of a feather Grin.

silver have just had 2 crampy under bump feelings, lasting 10 seconds or so each. Eaten 2 more mini crunchies and seeing if I get any more...

OkieCokie · 19/10/2010 14:22

I like nice scan news! Nice one Drom. Tooth still tres tres painful but going to see if it gets better in a few days before going under the drill.

OkieCokie · 19/10/2010 14:25

Maybe she was in there for some vet treatment for herself moo

Scorpette · 19/10/2010 15:35

Yay for a happy scan and a lovely, happy baby, Drom

Silver, is starting to sound exciting! Keep us updated

And Moo, don't think we've not noticed your non-mini crunchie-connected cramps Wink Glad pooch is better but boo to evil Dorian Angry

OP posts:
rollerbaby · 19/10/2010 16:00

I've only got one mini crunchie left I eated the whole bag!

Few more mini crampettes.

6 seasons of the Sopranos has arrived. I may get started tonight on the ball...

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 19/10/2010 16:16

I want a Womama birth wrap now. How clever to design a special garment for that important moment when a) what really matters is what you look like and b) nothing could possibly stain or damage it so you can treasure it forever or simply continue to wear regularly. Genius! (Who buys these things?) Actually though, What to Wear has crossed my mind. I bought myself a cheap big T-shirt nightie, but it is Alice in Wonderland themed in black and grey and the sinister cheshire cat sits right on the bump and looks really cool and now I actually think it's too good to birth in. I shall dig out an old polo shirt or something - I hope to be in and out of the birth pool anyway, so shan't need much I suppose.

Great scan news - so happy to hear all well! Aww Muse yours sounded like it was really very special. I had no scan that was like that quite honestly. Glad you did! But best of all is that the pesh babes are thriving. Huzzah.

I was at the doc this morning. He ran up to the labour block to deliver a baby so I was a bit late seeing him. Not that I minded - I have retained some sense of proportion Wink. Anyway, all was well - blood pressure fine, strep B test done... He also told me that the baby is very engaged (didn't offer any of the /5 measurements), but said she is low enough to be stimulating the cervix and I am 1 cm dilated! Now, I know that is a situation that can continue for weeks, but he did think there was a good chance that little miss might arrive before her EDD. Exciting stuff! ...

Of course, I'd like her to hang on for another week or so at least. I think she definitely will. Meanwhile things here are taking shape. I think we have most of what we need and most of the furniture and bits are assembled. Only a car seat and (oddly enough) nappies (some form of denial?!) are left on the to do list...

Honey and Silver we are rooting for you! I have noted that crunchies are an important labour stimulant. nom nom.

And a troofax to finish my first post in a while... the Dutch word for the "show" is : "slime-prop" (ok spelt slijm...but you get the idea!).

RunLyraRun · 19/10/2010 16:17

Hello! Just dropping in to say am vay vay happy for Camo and Muse scans. Love you both (and what of it??)

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 19/10/2010 16:18

Oooohhh honey exciting stuff!!! Don't worry: one can labour without mini crunchies - not ideal obviously (perhaps husbie could bring some home?) but it can be done!So get bouncing on that ball missus!

Oh and okie hope the tooth situation has improved. Sounded grim.

Muser · 19/10/2010 16:23

Oooh, maybe we'll have 3 BESHbabes all born on the same day! A happening like that would surely guarantee insta-diffs for all BESHes yet to get here. Surely?

I have been really soppy and pathetic and put a pic of Bob on my desk pinboard. I keep looking at it and grinning. God, what has happened to me?

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 19/10/2010 16:38

Not soppy! Normal. I kept fishing mine out of my wallet and grinning foolishly at them. And they were a crappy blur by the way. Yours are fab! That little baby is happily swimming away inside you. Believe it!

StiffyByng · 19/10/2010 16:39

I am hopping with excitement a bit at all the twinges on here. Although my sweepstake entry is null and void already.

I had my first midwife's appointment today. Two of them appeared, one my named midwife, and they were both totally great. We had a lovely chat, they are supportive of me wanting a homebirth, they didn't even blink at my BMI, and they gave me lots of compliments about what I was doing. And best of all, and completely unexpected, after I told them I was worrying about my scan on Thursday showing a missed miscarriage, one of them offered to listen for the heartbeat, and WE HEARD IT! What an amazing thing. I'm just sad that my other half wasn't there - he was so excited when I told him but a bit wistful. It was such a bizarre experience. There's something with a heartbeat living inside me - blimey.

StiffyByng · 19/10/2010 16:40

And muser, what a lovely, lovely picture you have.

Tooth woes sound most grim - I'd favour having it done asap. Pregnant women have operations all the time so a quick blast for teeth purposes can't do much, can it?

PollyPoo · 19/10/2010 16:59

Not soppy at all Muse. Congrats to you and Drom on the scans. I'm so glad you got a better experience this time. I loved our 20wk scan. Seems so long ago now... Gah, I am due in 9 and a bit weeks. Can someone please figure out how to slow down time? I am not liking how I'm moving up the Not List. Surely that is wrong.

Ooh, is there going to be a race now between Switty, Moo and Silver? How exciting. I wonder who will lay first.... my money is still on my virgo-twin HoneyMonster.

Scorpy have you been to the docs yet?

Scorpette · 19/10/2010 18:10

Muser, I'd think you were weird NOT to be mooning over those amazing shots of Bob! :)

PolPot, they're ringing me back tomorrow a.m. to sort me aaaht an appointment.

And yay for ChandlerByng hearing the heartbeat!
