I have opened the virtual gin, found the Desperate Romantics and am about to start playing I've Never. Who's with me?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Muser · 10/10/2010 20:56

Sorry Medee, I completely forgot to reply to your post. Read it on the bus and meant to come back and reply.

I've had those moments of not feeling pregnant as well, especially around that time, it is weird. Even now, with my movements less obvious because they're in a different place, I have moments of "oh god, is everything ok?"

Soon enough though our babies will be booting our insides out and we'll be wishing for some peace & quiet.

My scan is tomorrow morning. MrM is very nervous, I am resolutely Not Thinking About It.

rollerbaby · 10/10/2010 20:59

Really good luck for scan... It's amazing how much more babylike they are at 20 weeks.

med I didn't feel owt properly until about 22/23 weeks so don't worry if you don't...

CUNextTuesday · 10/10/2010 21:33

oh good luck muse! I'm almost jealous Grin

SilverSky · 10/10/2010 21:43

I recall having feelings of emptiness at times and then worrying the rest of the time.

Good luck for scan tmw.

Medee · 10/10/2010 22:05

thanks all.

All the best for the scan Muse.

Scorpette · 11/10/2010 01:04

GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR SCAN, Muser!

Cunty, I can exclusively reveal that your child is... a BOY! Grin

AlpinePony · 11/10/2010 07:42

Good luck today muser - it's absolutely heart-stoppingly terrifying the 20 week scan - but, once done & dusted you know you're on the home straight.

medee If you're worried you can poke it - or, have a glass of orange juice. I always got a reaction within 20 minutes of a glass of juice.

Warning - wriggling in the uterus leads to wriggling baybee! HmmGrin AIBU to give my 3 month old Ritalin?

CluckyKate · 11/10/2010 07:52

Just popped in to say Good luck Muse

OkieCokie · 11/10/2010 09:10

Good luck today Muse, let us know how you get on.

First proper day of maternity leave for me. Have been up since 6.30 but mini C is now at nursery. Had a shit nights sleep as mini c was wheezing and coughing and not settling properly. Ended up in bed with me and that was enough to make my nights sleep crap. I am debating with myself over a coffee whether to go back to bed or start sorting out toddler summer clothes and baby clothes and moving mini C's clothes from what will now be the baby's his new big boys room.
hmmmmmmm...

PollyPoo · 11/10/2010 09:39

Go to bed Okes, plenty of time for all the other stuff when miniO is better and you've had more sleep. My motto is, if in doubt, sleep. Wink

Muse good luck for today!

rollerbaby · 11/10/2010 09:43

okie back to bed! Sorting can wait! I am still in bed... Horrendous nights sleep what with BH and the loo. Shattered.

alpony do not tell me this. I have a right bloody wriggler! Despite his size he has no problem letting me know he's in there.

Today is finish hospital bag and putting baybee clothes away. Do I iron muslins? :)

What was Verdict on tenant last night? I was expecting to be a blubbing mess but the whole thing was a bit crap I thought.

Backinthebox · 11/10/2010 09:55

Moo if you're bored, iron whatever you want! But they are only going to be used for wiping up baby bodily fluids.

Muse good luck!

OkieCokie · 11/10/2010 10:04

Moo I ironed muslins after ever first wash. Did not indulge in the luxury once I had baybeee..

I watched a bit of the Single Dad thing but thought it had signs of being quite depressing so switched off. Right, think I will sort a few clothes and then maybe have a nap later.

Ariesgirl · 11/10/2010 10:16

Good luck Muse my lovely!

It's a girl. You heard it here first. Remember I am a witch with soothsaying powers.

CurlyCasper · 11/10/2010 10:31

good luck for the scan muse!

And welcome back to your rightful domain twinks. Well pleased for ya. Grin

rocket I'm glad someone else handles paperwork the way I do, I have several piles that started mounting before I gave birth. Was meant to do it in those last few weeks that early baby stole.

And I agree with himalayanmule about wriggly in, wriggly out. Squeaks has not been still since about 20 weeks gestation, apart from one day, when I rushed in for monitoring and the minute the pads touched my belly she started raving again. medee yours is likely hiding too. MW said in 99 per cent of cases of reduced movement the monitoring sets them off again. Contrary little blighters.

Dog/cat owners beware - apparently baby poo tastes good. I don't know, you turn your back for one minute...

Any sign of these October babies yet?

Headbanger · 11/10/2010 10:38

Good luck Musical! Will be dropping by for your news!

Muser · 11/10/2010 10:59

One of these days I'm going to get out of a scan without resorting to dildocam. Bob is not in a good position. I was in for an hour as they jabbed away at me. And now I have to wait around some more waiting for Bob to shift so they can see his/her face. Camera shy little blighter.

I am glad we're not finding out the sex. I can't take any more jabbing.

AlpinePony · 11/10/2010 11:16

curly Apparently (for dogs) it's something to do with the bitches instinct to clean up after the pups - and not having flushable loos, will eat the evidence. [boak] Although - my big dog has always managed to imbibe any human poo found on walks. Vile creature.

I'm glad all is well muse - did they give you the full anatomical run-down? I found that absolutely mind blowing - e.g., "and here you can see the blahblah vein which runs through the brain". Made it very, very real and un-prawnlike.

Muser · 11/10/2010 11:20

They kind of did Alpine. But I was slightly distracted by the 6ft sonographer leaning on the probe to get his pictures. And instructing the trainee so not much time for me. Was not very wow. Might get more wow when they call me back in.

CurlyCasper · 11/10/2010 11:30

Hope part two goes better muser!

Alpie, I've watched many a bitch clear up after her litter, but this was definitely a case of nom, nom for my little scavenger!

Gah, Lady Muck is screeching calling again.
Babies with colds are officially Not Fun.

maswera · 11/10/2010 11:46

Good luck for the next go Muse

I just bought my first baby item - a pack of 3 sleepsuits from Asda... Grin Right, now, do I need anything else....?

OkieCokie · 11/10/2010 11:56

Mas just a pack of nappies maybe?

I am losing momentum for mass clothes clear out and rearrange. It would help if I knew if I was having a boy or a girl. Damn!

Muser · 11/10/2010 12:26

Part two was declared a failure as Bob, the laziest baby in town, had declined to move. Despite my walking about, jumping up and down, and applying Jaffa Cakes.

I have to pop in next week to see if they can get a shot of the face. Everything else is normal, which is great. The tiny glimpse we did get of the face was amazing. Also the hands, the hands were cool.

maswera · 11/10/2010 12:27

Awwww, likkle baybee faces and hands.... :)

OkieCokie · 11/10/2010 12:38

Muser the main things is they got all the shots/measurements they needed to and you go back next time and you get to see him/her again and they finish off, glad all as it should be so far! Next time have a coffee and a can of coke before you go in. Smile
