I have opened the virtual gin, found the Desperate Romantics and am about to start playing I've Never. Who's with me?

Oh my, she is neurotic. Just for a laugh, I did a search on 'Kiki84'. She is on bout 300+ threads, mostly either regarding baby names (this one is an absolute classic, here. She appears to be the only person who doesn't realise it is a wind-up) or of the 'help, I carried a cake' variety.

CUNextTuesday · 08/10/2010 15:03

I can't wait for her to have that baby

TwinkleToes76 · 08/10/2010 15:29

Hi PESHies. Room for another recently diffed? Grin. Got a positive this morning at 9DPO so very early days but I'm going on the third time lucky theory - I can't possibly have another one fall out right?

ChoChoSan · 08/10/2010 15:40

I couldn't resist posting on that thread. I hate being troll-y, but my typing fingers start twitching whenever I see one of those threads...

ChoChoSan · 08/10/2010 15:44

Woah...back the truck up - cross post with Twinkies there....Congratulations, you diffed up bint!!!!!Woooohooo!!!!OMG!111!1

rollerbaby · 08/10/2010 15:51

Off to insult that frigging kiki twat. Alpine that was v v funny - lie down still!!

SilverSky · 08/10/2010 16:15

Celebrations of the highest order for that there TwinkyTwink! Best news of the day fo' sho' !!!

CUNextTuesday · 08/10/2010 16:38

Oh well done footfingers, that is good news indeed. Now you must hang upside down for the next few days and for god's sake don't carry any CAKE Grin

(max respect the ski - sadly I didn't get to your post before it was deleted but I can imagine...)

AlpinePony · 08/10/2010 16:54

Really? It was deleted? FFS. [rollseyes]

SilverSky · 08/10/2010 19:27

Yeah - spoilsports.

That other thread re: Vanilla Fey HAS to be a troll. Too hilarious not to be!!

Muser · 08/10/2010 20:34

Yay Twinkle! Be wary of cakes, spray tans and running for buses.

Medee · 08/10/2010 21:26

Hurrah, TwinkleToes!

Our PCT doesn't telll you the sex either.

And speaking of which, there is none here either. And the last time it was suggested, it was by me, and he was too tired Shock

Scorpette · 08/10/2010 21:43

My God, I thought I was being really original planning on calling my future child Vanilla Fey. Will have to use plan b name, Rum 'n' Raisin Goblin Grin Unisex AND catchy!

WELCOME TWINKS! The MAD is going great guns. So happy for you :) 9DPO is verr promising.

I carried a big slice of double chocolate roulade (choc mousse AND fresh cream inside!) to my Gran, for her birthday today. WHAT HAVE I DONE?! Shock Or does it have to be a whole cake? Should I ring the midwife? Being a low-maintenance slattern is really paying off in terms of not changing my grooming life style now I'm a differd Grin

Pollypocket, I LOVE that coat! But this season is all about the cape, beyotches and what could be better for covering that bump?! I shall be working my fab 40s nurse's cape and basically looking like Henry VIII in that famous painting by Holbein Grin I believe DanielSan has a rather funky purple cape, if I remember rightly?

Cass, I've just had a light vom at my folks', after other peeps had gone, so a good day Hmm Cheers for asking. I hope the ovaltine has buggered off

CUNextTuesday · 08/10/2010 21:52

I would be interested in my mum having that recipe so she can make it for me Grin

rocketleaf · 08/10/2010 21:57

I don't want the recipe but you can chuck any leftovers my way?

Hmm a cape, that would get round the new coat embargo currently enforced in our house.

welcome to the deli twinkes have some pate on melba toast.

That name thread is pure genius even before ernest84 turns up. (hmm ernest, good name for a boy Wink)

Scorpette · 08/10/2010 22:26

A cape is doubleplus good, as it'll still be in fashion next year (and probably beyond) and unlike specific preggo-coats, you can wear it pg and after.

Cunty, I like your thinking Grin

Muser · 08/10/2010 22:36

I want a cape. But not as much as I still want the Isabella Oliver coat. Sigh.

SilverSky · 09/10/2010 07:32

Scorps plz to share recipe. It is simple to make right???

I've been awake since 630. No reason just have. Typical as tmw is my last lie in for two days. My afternoon nap yesterday meant I was still awake at 1130 last night.

Today I am Meeting a chum for coffee who has a ten mth old tho whether she brings him or not I have no idea. Don't mind either way. Be good to have good gas. She also has a hoss so we can swap allsorts of hoss related info to our hearts content without DP/DHs sitting with us rolling their eyes upwards.

My tummy tells me it's breakfast o'clock. Laters gin lovers.

ginhag · 09/10/2010 08:11

TWINK!!!!!!!!!!! woooop wooooop nekkid dancing a-go-go!!!!!

Grin I'm, y'know, quite pleased about your news Grin

I have a coat. Mr Gin exercised wonderful patience a couple of weeks ago and took me shopping for differ togs. At 18 weeks I had to admit that my clothes didn't fit and I looked like a nob.

Anyway, I don't really like shopping much and have NO patience for maternity shopping. He was great, made me try loads of stuff on while I grumbled like Kevin the Teenager with low blood sugar. He had to force me to try on a duffle coat in top shop... 'don't want to, it looks like a school coat, I'll look like I'm dressed as a 12 year old grumble moan complain' etc.

It looks fucking lovely Grin Is all kind of swingy and a bit cape-like in shape but proper sleeves so v snug. And I don't look like a very mishapen 12 year old I actually look NICE! And the way it's cut it could be worn post pg also. Hurrah....

moo how was mw appt? Hope they were nice to you lovely.

And what news from wits?

By the way, in cake-carrying type news, it is officially a Bad Idea to push a 2 1/2 stone toddler on the swings by lying on your back and pushing their feet with your feet at 20ish weeks. Unless you really like pulling most of the muscles in your body whilst looking like an ungainly pillock...

rocketleaf · 09/10/2010 09:35

I love Topshop, I already have some of their preggo stuff that I bought just because I liked it, this we before I even THOUGHT about getting diffed. Come to think if it the bargainous half price Whistles purchase of Wool winter coat I made last year will be fine for the smallish bump I will have when its cold and luckily by the time I am totally gravid it will be summer. So no cape for me :(

In fact I have also realised that LOADS of my clothes are really well suited to disguising a bump, I suppose thats the advantage of being slightly para about my pre diff protruding belly and liking loose fitting jeans. All I will need it a bump band and some preggo vests and I should be sorted.

Casserole · 09/10/2010 09:45

Morning all Smile

Gin I can concur about the 2.5 stone toddler. I think therein may lie my ovaltining tendencies (that and being kicked in the stomach by toddler/dog/cats on an hourly basis (I think they have formed a rota) so have sent manstew out with mini and dog this morning while I revise (again/still) The ovaltine has pretty much stopped, praise be to Horlicks.

I have also put in request for bin bag of maternity stuff to be brought down from loft this weekend. I can still get into normal stuff but it either hurts or looks odd. I know it's frightfully common but I did notice New Look have quite a selection of maternity coats this winter. Didn't bother last tme but I might this time. Feel the need to make some sort of effort as it's getting increasingly difficult to tell the difference between me and a homeless person when I leave the house (except I assume there are not many homeless people kneeling billiously in the gutter encouraging small toddlers to use travel potties and saying, "Yes, that IS an enormous weewee, well done". If there is a lot of this these days in the homeless community then I duly apologise)

I already have a good roulade recipe. I'd quite like some roulade though...?

rocketleaf · 09/10/2010 11:35

OMG I am just back from the hair dresser and all I can taste is nasty hairspray, I must have inhaled and swallowed loads of chemicals, WILL THIS HARM MY BABY??????!!!!!!????? :o

PollyPoo · 09/10/2010 11:49

Straight to hell for you Rocket. Bad mummy. I hope you didn't have your hair coloured? Grin

rocketleaf · 09/10/2010 11:56

Nope, I only use natural dyes and haven't done since finding out I am diffed. Not because I am worried the baybee will come out orange but because I really can't be arsed.

Why is it that Scouse hair dressers are incapable of making me look like anyone other than Dusty Springfield? Hmm

rocketleaf · 09/10/2010 11:58

Although come to think of it my 5 month diffed friend had highlights yesterday and also admitted to having a REAL coffee a day. I think I am going to have to drop her as a friend as she obviously hates her baybee.
