Just bought some J20 white grape and kiwi and J20 Winterberries (on offer at Sainsburys) put them in a wine glass and nobody will be able to tell the difference between that or a glass or white or red wine!

I know it's sad that I'm excited about finding new ways to 'keep the secret' Blush

cep · 15/10/2010 19:47

Hi all hope everyone is ok today. Fingers crossed for those of us having worries at the moment.

Kara are you still thinking of doing sw?? I started sw a few months ago as very overweight, spoke to my consultant last night and there's a form that you have to take to the midwife for her to sign and say she's happy, every visit with her she's able to write any concerns about your diet on the form, and the consultant discusses it with you. On minimins.com there's a slimming world and pregnancy thread for people on the diet who's expecting, again for support of both the diet and pregnancy. As the diet is more of a healthy eating regime rather than a serious diet most dr's/midwifes are happy about it. Planning on doing as well as i can throughout the pregnancy.

Evening Everyone....just sneaking on at work...OMG the indegestion I have had this pm.....mis that a sign or just the cup a soup and cake I have eaten lol.....

GoodVibrations · 15/10/2010 20:38

petitech and IamMrsJones how difficult for you both, the heartbeat is such reassurance but then the spotting is just confusing. IamMrsJones I have not heard about the sac shrinking before - maybe you could post another thread on mn?. Fingers crossed for you both.

Welcome to all the newcomers.

Sasamaxx I am so impressed that you've managed to reply to everyone, I lose track so quickly, you must be writing things down!!.

Well I had my scan today and all was well. Right size for dates (8+2) and the most important little heartbeat. I am so relieved. I know there is still a risk but for me this has been a huge weight off my mind and I have relaxed for the first time in a month :)

Hello to everyone, hope you have nice things planned for the weekend

Gillzz · 15/10/2010 22:12

Hi all, OMG how busy is this thread getting every1 is so lovely! I think were all in the same boat prob won't relax until our bundle of joys are here!

My boobs area so tender and swollen still no sickness but wasn't sick once with ds! Actually had really healthy pregnancy before with really ill baby so you never know wot signs are good or bad!!

Hope every1 has lovely weekend xx

TumTumGnu · 16/10/2010 05:34

Good morning campers!

Is anyone else waking up at really stupid times in the morning? I have always been a very keen lie-in kind of person but am now waking up bright and alert at 5am! My sleep patterns seem to be shot to pieces Hmm

wonnaywombat · 16/10/2010 06:27

Morning all!

tumtum - I seem to be a bit all over the shop with sleeping too but not as bad as 5am!

I've also noticed an increase in weird and vivid dreams - anyone else?

I have 4 girlfriends staying with us on their hols (we live in Dubai) at the mo and had an interesting day yesterday (fri and sat is our weekend here) at an all day event that went from boozy lunch to drinks to more drinks and dancing. I think I fooled them by managing to get to the bar first time each time and ordering mocktails so (assuming all goes ok) it will be funny to see in a couple of months if they noticed at all. It was v amusing at the end of the evening being stone cold sober and watching everyone else acting clearly un-sober! It was a surprisingly good day but boy was I knackered-roo-rooed by the end!

petitech and IamMrsJones - must be very worrying for you both having some certainty and then other issues thrown into the mix.... thinking of you both and crossing all the digits x

yellowtomato · 16/10/2010 08:24

Morning all

I can't sleep either.......although it is a bit later than 5am. I woke up at 7 cos I was hungry but my mind was immediately active so couldn't get back to sleep. I did try for over an hour but have finally given up!

GoodVibrations congratulations on the scan, I can only dream of being more than 8 weeks! Grin only 5 weeks today, it seems so far away....

Yesterday I bought one of the small bean bag things that you can heat up in the microwave and use like a hot water bottle. It is lavender scented and the instructions say 'if pregnant consult your doctor before use' What is that all about? What could be the problem with that? Very confused Confused

Clarkiee · 16/10/2010 09:13

Morning- I keep waking up early of a weekend (when I have to get up during the week it's not happening!).

wombat I went to a wedding last weekend had a great time on my vodka and slim line tonic (minus the vodka), but agree its funny watching people wobbling about and talking crap at the end of the night.

Star82 · 16/10/2010 09:15

Hmmmm. Really starting to wonder if i've wasted money booking this early dating scan today.
If i tested positive 7th Oct and that was the very earliest say i could have tested positive, i'm worried i might not even be 5 weeks and they wont be able to date the pregnancy.
Grrrrrr......

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 16/10/2010 09:26

I can't keep up with you guys.

Mainly because I feel soooo sick, having 24 hour sickness, nausea has turned into actual throwing up and I feel sooooo shitty :(

Welcome on board to the newbies :)

I honestly don't remember feeling this bad with DS!! Especially this early on (6 weeks tomorrow)

Loujalou · 16/10/2010 10:09

Dips her toe in.

Right I got my positive result on Thursday after trying forever for the last 16 months for a sibling to my DS aged 2.6 years.

I never thought I would get here so am a bit nervous....

LoopyLoupGarou · 16/10/2010 10:10

May I join you please ladies? :)

I got a positive this morning on a digital, after a very faint line and a negative yesterday!

We have one DD already, she is 15 months. Sadly her twin sister was stillborn, so I'm really terrified about this pregnancy and need all the support I can get!

Thanks :)

yellowtomato · 16/10/2010 10:16

Hi loopyloup welcome! And congratulations. So sorry to hear about the stillborn. You are in the right place though, there are quite a few of us nervous nellies on this thread.

So what do you make your EDD?

Isabelle Regarding cold meats etc apparently the uk advice is that they are fine...

Food Standards Agency

Clarkiee Good plan for when you are at home, what do you do in a bar? Today I'm going for the 'too hungover to drink' excuse Grin

LoopyLoupGarou · 16/10/2010 10:18

EDD should be June 26th, which is DD's birthday!

yellowtomato · 16/10/2010 10:18

and hi Loujalou didn't see you there. Big welcome to you too.

And congratulations. I feel the same way. Have been trying for number 1 for 2 years with only 1 mmc a year ago......so it's been a long time coming and I feel v nervous too.

Loujalou · 16/10/2010 10:28

My EDD should be 20th June but DS was premmie so who knows.

CuppaMouldyBatBallsBrothJanice · 16/10/2010 10:31

Welcome Loujalou and LoopyLoupGarou - that's a mouthful saying those two names together!!

Sorry to hear about your DD's twin, Loopy. You'll find loads of support here - I think between us we've been through every aspect of pregnancy and childbirth, good and bad.

Lou we'll have the same age gap between our children. I'm hoping it will be a bit easier than smaller gaps - DC1 should be old enough to 'help' rather than be a source of danger, and no need for a double buggy!!

yellowtomato I presume the warning on the wheat bags is so you know not to put it on your stomach? I can't see much harm arising from using it to warm up your feet, or for sore shoulders etc.

I was up at 5am too. And 2.30am. Little boy trotted into my room - 'Like some milk please Mummy'!!

sasamaxx · 16/10/2010 10:36

star2 - is it too late to change the scan to next week, for example? Afraid I've no idea how early they can date a pregnancy.

kara sorry you're feeling so bad - do you think it might be a girl this time then?

Welcome and congratulations loubelou and loopyloupgarou - so sorry about you DD's twin sister Sad

GV - that post took be about an hour to construct lol - it was a one off though - was wxhausted after it lol Wink

GoodVibrations · 16/10/2010 10:36

oooh I'm confused about meat!! Confused

I thought that cold meats were fine if they were cooked cold meats. Parma/ serrano ham is cured, and some chorizo is aswell (so I thought fell into the raw/undercooked category). I've only eaten them if they are cooked. They are so good though I would really like to eat them, anyone else know?!?!

P.S don't worry if you have eaten them though, as long as you were not ill then it's fine, I ate blue cheese last time at about 5 weeks before I knew I was pregnant

knackered76 · 16/10/2010 10:56

Morning all!

What a chatty lot we are!

Star2 - what was the date of your last period? Before 6 weeks they may not pick up a heartbeat and so is likely to just make you worry more! I would see if you could change the scan until you are at least 6 weeks. I have one on tuesday day and will be just 7 by then.

loopylou - congratulations and welcome, so sorry to hear about your DD's twin :(

loujlou - congratulations and welcome to you as well!

My 2 children are 20 months apart (now nearly 4 and 5.5yrs). I spent most of the pregnancy trying not to think about how I was going to cope with 2 so close but I'm pleased to say I did! It's not nearly as bad as you think it's going to be. There are hard days, but then there are hard days with one! It's now lovely as they can play really nicely together (currently wondering around together in my heels while I type this!). How I'm going to cope with 3 . . . . .well that's another matter altogether!

Happy Saturdays ladies!

knackered76 · 16/10/2010 10:58

Sorry, meant to be Star82 Blush

sasamaxx · 16/10/2010 11:11

knackered76 - the star2 thing is my fault - my eight key doesn't work. Sometimes I copy and paste an eight but sometimes I forget lol

mrsbigw · 16/10/2010 11:46

Morning lovely ladies! Yellowtomatoe I maybe wrong but I vaguely remember something about lavender being contraindicated in pregnancy?

Am off for my reflexology now hopefully it will stop me feeling quite so sick, am willing to try anything once!

have a lovely day all, hope your dating scan is a success Star82 & welcome Loujalou and LoopyLoupGarou!

Minione · 16/10/2010 13:43

Hi Ladies

Feeling absolutely knackered and queasy, don't remember feeling sick quite so early on last time! We're going to our friends tonight for dinner, I don't want to tell anyone yet but it is going to be pobvious I'm not drining as there will only be the four of us! Any tips?!?

Have had some very strange dreams - a few nights ago I dreamed that I drank 2 large glasses of white wine and then remembered I was pregnant and then last night I dreamed I was eating pate on toast and halfway through I remembered it was on the banned list! The wine I can probably understand but I have pate once or twice a year so its hardly something I'm missing already!
