Tiny tiny tiny bit of spotting when I wiped this morning, watery brown but really hardly anything, I think I'm scrutinizing the toilet paper each time as I'm so paranoid, nothing in my underwear over night though (sorry if TMI!) Am so so so worried though as keep thinking.... what if this is the beginning. I have no pain at all though and had the usual morning dry wretches so I guess that's a good sign?!?!? No idea!

moomin156 · 14/10/2010 08:27

Morning all
Still no symptons for me today and those i did have seem to be less or am i just completely paranoid.
Fingers crossed for you petitech and starflowergirl
A bit worried about how i will cope wih work today, on a late shift so will still be at work when im normally curled up on the sofa in my pj's fighting the urge to go to bed at 7pm :)

yellowtomato · 14/10/2010 08:45

Morning

I'll be thinking of you today starflowergirl and petitech, really hope you get some lovely reassurance.

moomin I know what you mean about the alcohol, I am going to try and avoid but last night saw a friend and didn't want to tell her and knew there was no excuse she'd believe so had a glass. My partner is not as supportive of yours and fully intends to carry on as before!

I am seeing the dr today just to get in the 'system' so they can start setting up appts.

Hope everyone else is well/full of symptoms.

sasamaxx · 14/10/2010 09:13

starflowergirl and petitech - best of luck today - am thinking of you.

YES brassicababe - I am missing wine terribly. I love a glass of something smooth and red once the kids are in bed - really missing it. I'm sure it will get easier though.

Last night at 9.30ish, I was watching the apprentice and someone on it was eating chips. OMG they looked so amazing - I could almost taste the in my mouth and couldn't stop thinking about them. 10 mins later, I jumped up, grabbed the car keys and headed to the chip shop for a bag of chips, smothered in loads of vinegar and salt. I just couldn't help myself Blush

wonnaywombat · 14/10/2010 09:14

Well, fingers, toes and all other bits very tightly crossed for starflower and petitech - scrutinising toilet paper and undies so very, very normal.

StarflowerGirl · 14/10/2010 09:19

petitech Like you I've had no pain at all over night. I have got some discharge on my undies but it's really dark brown and gritty. Much like you get at the end of an ordinary period. I know that brown blood = old blood so I'm trying to stay really hopeful. I woke up feeling queasy but I'm not sure if it's morning sickness or anxiety.

I'll pop on and let everyone know how the scan went when we get back from the hospital. It's a 45 minute journey which I am really not looking forward to.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes everyone. Smile

Good luck to you today petitech I'll be thinking of you!

BarbieLovesKen · 14/10/2010 09:32

Petitech and StarFlowerGirl, wishing you both all the best this morning. Will be thinking of you xx

I am feeling so abnormal......no cravings, no nausea no nothing........I may regret saying it next week but it would be so nice to have a 'proper' sympton LOL

Humania · 14/10/2010 10:14

Best of luck petitech and StarFlowerGirl.

Well I'm 5+1 today and still resisting phoning the midwives to get booked into the system. Had an early mc at 5+3 before dd arrived so I'm trying to hold off at least until I get through this weekend :) I wonder if they'll let me have an early reassurance scan?

I'm also hoping to go for a homebirth this time so although it's extremely early days it would good to start talking this through - dh is not totally convinced by the idea!

Went out for dinner with dh and dps last night - hopefully didn't look too suspect as I had a very small glass of wine... but had to resist the scrummy looking plate of oozing cheese! I'm already longing for sushi too as I know I shouldn't really be having it for a while...

Less noticeable symptom than last time for me... just minor nausea, stretchy pains and extra discharge. Right I'd better stop yakking now and do some work...

petitech · 14/10/2010 11:28

Yeah scan was ok showed teeny weeny bean with strong heartbeat. Phew.

moomin156 · 14/10/2010 11:38

Fantastic news petitech, what a relief for you and so wonderful to see your little bean. Fingers crossed for Starflowergirl too

mrsbigw · 14/10/2010 11:48

Hi all, just found your thread I am also due on 1st June :)

I am also looking for work at the moment, I gave up my last job to have summer off with my other DCs due to lack of childcare & getting back into work was taking longer than I planned. Not sure how things are going to pan out now....

Although we hadn't ruled out having more children the timing has caught us both by suprise however DP can't keep a secret & has told his side of the family already so we had to tell our other kids (DS 15, DS 11, DS 6) too even though I am only 7 weeks today.

I have been feeling rotten for the last 2 weeks with constant nausea & retching (sorry if TMI!) & I have lost my appetite however I am not as tired this week.

Hope everyone else is feeling well today?
Petitech & StarflowerGirl I hope that you get reassurance from your scans today.

MoogHasNoBrain · 14/10/2010 13:00

That is great news Petitech.

Welcome mrsbigw

I am still symptomless - but only 4+4 so that is probably why!

sasamaxx · 14/10/2010 13:01

That's great news petitech!!
Bet you are super-relieved Grin

petitech · 14/10/2010 13:05

I am think were edd buddies sasamaxx. Thanks for everyone being so lovely x x

featherblue · 14/10/2010 13:18

Such great news petitech! Must've been lovely to hear the heartbeat.

StarflowerGirl - hope everything goes well for you at your scan today.

Well, I just got off the phone with an absolutely lovely GP at my surgery. Wish I'd been going to her all along! She said she'd leave me a blood form and to have bloods taken as soon as I can. She also moved my due date up waaaaay earlier than Fertility Friend. She said I'm like 6 weeks! New EDD 10 June. Craziness. She said they'd go by the scan when I have it, but until then my edd is 10 June, not 19 June. So that's exciting.

She also gave me a choice between King's and St Thomas's (am in SE London). I said King's as it's closer, but does anyone know if I can change my mind later if I want to? The recent 'giving brith in the waiting room' news stories about King's aren't giving me a whole lot of confidence!

She also said to switch to walking instead of running. :( I struggle with my weight, and running is a big part of my life! She said walking is lower impact, so better. Any other runners here? What are y'all doing?

Still symptom free here (except the boobs). Still slightly worried about that.

Hope everyone's feeling ok today!

featherblue · 14/10/2010 13:29

Updating the stats with my new EDD. Added any newcomers I saw and put everyone in order. Hope that's ok!

theQuibbler · 14/10/2010 13:39

Hi featherblue - that's my EDD too. Smile

I think you can change without too much trouble - St Thomas' has got quite a good reputation (unlike Kings, as you say).

I used the Dr Foster guide to decide where to go - the link is here: maternity unit guide.
In theory, you should be able to go where ever you want; the practice is a little different...

That's really good news petitech - how lovely to hear the hb.

Am very twitchy and pessimistic today - keep expecting the worst and am having to investigate every twinge. I don't know what's the matter with me! If I get through today, I'm sure hoping that I'll feel better tomorrow.

Hope is everyone is feeling OK.

MoogHasNoBrain · 14/10/2010 13:42

Hi Feather - I am still running - I have just made sure I slow down a bit so as not to overheat etc. I know lots of runners who continues throughout pregnancy. I plan to continue until it stops being comfortable...

I think different doctors have different opinions about this. My doctor is a runner so she will say it's fine!

featherblue · 14/10/2010 13:46

theQuibbler thanks for the link. I'll have a look. I might wait and discuss it with my midwife. The other issue is that King's midwives work out of my surgery (which is a 2-minute walk from my house). I may just leave thinking about all of that for a few weeks yet! Grin

Have added you on the list. Are we missing anyone else?

broughthimroundtotheidea · 14/10/2010 14:12

My boobs arn't hurting as much today, desperately trying to remember how long they hurt with DD/DS. 4+6 today
How lovely to see a heartbeat petitech, fingers crossed for you today StarflowerGirl x xx

yellowtomato · 14/10/2010 14:12

Great news petitech how exciting to hear a strong heartbeat.

humania I asked my doctor about sushi last time and he said it is fine but just don't go to a dodgy place, go somewhere with a good reputation.

theQuibbler I don't feel any symptoms today either...keep trying to check out boob soreness and size but there isn't really anything definitive. I think we just have to try to stay calm and hope for the best.

Time goes soooo slowly...........

I am sooooooooooooo tired I can hardly move this afternoon Sad

StarflowerGirl · 14/10/2010 14:55

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to you petitech I'm so happy that you had such a great result of your scan!

Sadly my scan confirmed what I already knew in my heart so I'm going to be bowing out of this group. This is my second miscarriage in 4 months and I'm not sure right now if I'll ever want to try again.

Take care of yourselves ladies. I hope you all have very sticky beans.
