Fudge, sorry for being a bit late with my response to your brave and beautifully written post, but I have been thinking about the three of you a lot. Elliot is such a beautiful name and I'm so overwhelmed by how amazing you have been. We are all here for you.
November, I have an image of Matilda dressed in a cookie monster suit as she gulps down your milk. Hope you're not too exhausted by it all.
Cherry, I'm totally like you too - I have to eat so ridiculously regularly that I have to nip back to the office between lessons to munch on a cereal bar, as well as break and lunch and as soon as I get (I've just polished off yesterday's leftovers that I couldn't finish at dinner time). Haven't tried jaffa cakes but am not so interested in sweet things - crisps and breadsticks and pasta and toast are much more appealing! According to old wives tales that means I'm having a boy...
Crazy, I am so jealous of your scan - but also so very happy for you!
Did you get a picture?
Chance, so sorry to hear that your poor hands are causing you so many problems. I hope that they have done something for you today to make life more bearable, as you really will need your sleep before LO arrives!
Bunny, poor you with your construction site disturbing precious maternity peace. The house across the road from us has had its roof taken off and there is a lot of hammering and drilling, so goodness knows what a whole site will sound like! Your DH sounds like a real sweetie - if you can get iPlayer, there's a programme called Special Deliveries that he might benefit from watching, if he was interested...
halo, how exciting to be able to tell your colleagues. Did you get any annoying "I KNEW it" comments? I told the Head on Friday and he was a real sweetie about it, telling me to rest and make sure that I'm looking after myself, which was a lovely response.
Hermya, how goeth the nesting phase? Are you washing lots of teeny clothes?
OneOf8, I'm so pleased that your sugar levels are normal, and wow at you being 24 weeks and getting used to the baby kicking. Can you feel it from the outside?
Worrisome, how exciting that you're getting so close. Are you managing to enjoy the last few weeks at all, or are you just too fed up now?! Glad that the itch has gone though! I'll start hoping for an early arrival for you... :)
Roses, all I can say is WOW! Am feeling cross on your behalf for all those unannounced people barging in, but glad that your darling boy arrived safe and well. It's going to be something that DH will be instructed in, and while I suppose that these things can't be helped, a quick "I'm Joe and I'm here because..." can't hurt! How are you enjoying life as a family of three?
Hope that pixie and hobnob are ok out there - we're all waiting to hear how things go!
Not much to report from me. I went back to work on Friday so felt like I had earned my weekend, and I've been in the last two days as well, although today was quite a struggle with overwhelming nausea at a few moments. I told my best friend on Sunday because we talk every day on MSN and I got fed up with inventing excuses for going to bed early. She was so excited and couldn't stop texting me for the rest of the day, and I can trust her to keep our secret for the next few weeks.
I haven't had a date for my scan through yet, and was really hoping for a letter to be waiting on the doormat when I got home today. They'll get an earful on Friday if nothing has arrived by then! I'm also feeling very fat and I'm sure that someone's going to put 2+2 together and ask questions...
On a wonderful note, we had a message from one of DH's best friends at the weekend to say that they are expecting their first baby in early April, which puts them about a month ahead of us, so my fear about not having any RL baby buddies has been alleviated somewhat!
Hope everyone has had a good Tuesday and that I've not missed too many people out.
