Thank you for the kind words, it helps luckily I am not in work until Thursday, I have told my boss though and I think I will have TLC from my lovely colleagues :)

Byng, I found out the night before my wedding, I sipped cava for the toasts and just said I din't want to drink much as I wanted to remember the day. You could also have an orange juice and just say it is vodka as well, if you have an accomplice you could pass your drinks on to them :)

I think the wedding will be OK - loads of people and I'll carry a glass around with me. And congratulations, Purplebuns.

The hen night though...! My bridesmaid knows and is going to buy me 'vodka', but lots of my friends already suspect (I post on another forum where I know lots of people in real life and although I've used another username to talk about the pregnancy, they obviously think it's me) and will be watching me like a hawk. I suppose they can guess all they want, and I just refuse to admit anything.

Can I join you?

EDD 15 May 2011 (DS 2.3)

Took test last Saturday after a week of tingling boobs.
Lots of minor cramps since then
Excessive tiredness - went to bed at 6:30 on Monday night!

Bonkerz · 08/09/2010 14:55

I need to join please!
after 4 years of no contraception and being told a year ago that i wasnt ovulating i have just done 4 pregnancy tests and am up the duff with my 3rd child. Its all a bit over whelming and scary TBH especially because my DD started school monday! Expected due date on one site is May 16th and on another its May 1st but seeing as i will have a C section it will be beginning of May anyway i suppose!

Yorkstar · 08/09/2010 15:15

Hello and welcome to all newcomers :)

Lovely news to hear you are soon to be married stiffybyng, good luck trying to get away with not drinking on your hen night though!!

Sorry me post coming up. Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me as im starting to get quite worried.

Morning sickness kicked in last wed and felt like others have described i.e like id got a constant hangover. Obviously difficult to handle being at work and having a lively ds but now iv felt pretty much fine since monday. No sickness all day and no other symptoms. I know i can't win here but i feel terrible when i do have symptoms but obviously it's a good sign right? But i feel more worried when i don't. Im only officially 6+3 but probaby more like 7 weeks as i always ovulate early but surely this can't be it? Been worrying all week. Oh please come back morning sickness Hmm. Was not too ill when pg with ds but i think i had it longer than this. Any advice much appreciated.

Purplebuns · 08/09/2010 15:36

Bonkerz Gingerwench Congratulations!
Yorkstar I have flashes of nausea that disappear reappear, I think as long as nothing like bleeding is happening it should be fine. Are you having any other symptoms?

KnitterInTheNW · 08/09/2010 19:33

Wow, I'm so tired... Did a clearblue digital this morning and it was a(nother) positive, so I'm here to stay!

We've been out all day, to the blue panet aquarium with DS and SIL, then pizza hut for lunch, then a bit of shopping at cheshire oaks. Came away £75 worse off, got a pair of berry coloured pocket knit uggs, should have been £140. Bargain! The Ugg shop had racks and racks of sample boots, shoes, slppers, you name it, all for about half the rrp. All in size 5 though! Very happy that I'll have toasty toes this winter.

LostGeek · 08/09/2010 21:01

Congrats to all.

I felt sick on Sunday morning and regretted wishing for it previously. But it may have been sun stroke because I was out for days in the sun. And I've not felt sick again since. Similarly worried and hoping it will come back even though it was truly grim.

Also, some hapless NHS van driver forgot to bring results back to my GP from the lab so still no official confirmation from medical profession that I'm up the duff. Time has never ever passed soooo slowly.

Hello everyone.

Another me post I'm afraid, but I'm still bleeding. No bleeding on tuesday, but more yesterday. It's not much at all, it's just a brown discolouration of the discharge. Been having a few cramps, but I had them first time round. I did another test yesterday and it was still positive and the line was clearer.

I just don't feel pregnant though and have kind of resigned myself to the fact that I'm not anymore Sad

I'm seeing the mw today and I'll ask to be referred to the EPU for a scan.

EDD 14th May DC(#1)

It's fab to read other people's thoughts and worries especially as we are all at about the same stage - reassuring to know that although I'm a bit of a neurotic mess so are all of you Grin!

Purplebuns · 09/09/2010 09:27

Mrschemist Good luck for today, I hope you get a scan and then you will know, they should be able to tell you why and where your bleeding from as well (if not MC)
Will be thinking of you :)

Crazydayz Congratulations! Please add your name to the list :)

My dad is in hospital having dye put through his heart and if it is blocked in places he will have the Angioplasty, there and then. I am gutted as I tried to call him early this morning and he had already left! :(
My grandad is still hanging on though although, I wish he was just out of pain!

Sorry for the downer, feel so worried!
I can't wait for this week to be over, so I know how everyone is doing and I will be 7 weeks to boot!

I hope everyone is ok today and we have lots of sticky beans! :)

Hi folks,

Welcome to all the newbies! Wonderful.
not been on for a while cos it had all moved so fast! Also been feeling rough with morning sickness for 2 weeks (I'm due end April so probably got it before a lot of you).

My life is a trail of half eaten ginger biscuits and crackers! I told a couple of my bosses (I freelance at different employers) and they took me off some early shifts, phew! I felt I had to tell one or two poeple so they could understand why I'm behaving so oddly!Wink

I've added my date to the list, hope everyone who should be is on there.

Thoughts are with everyone who's having a difficult time for whatever reason.

Hello all, I hope you don't mind me joining you. I'm trying to figure out who everyone is and how you're all getting on.

I had a positive test yesterday after suspecting I was pg for about a week. This will be DC 3 if it sticks (AF not actually late until Saturday) but I definitely feel pregnant so am not too worried. I'm a bit overwhelmed tbh. DH is refusing to even discuss it and also DD started school yesterday, so pretty emotional anyway.

Have added myself to the list.

Hello to the newcomers!
Hope everyone is doing well.

Went to see midwife today. It wasn't the usual one (who is lovely) and the one I had just seemed a little bit dismissive. DH says he feels reassured, but I'm still worried.
She said as long as I've still got HCG in my system, I am pregnant.
She didn't refer me to the EPU, but she did send my details over to the hospital.

If I'm still bleeding by tomorrow, I'll go along because I've since found out that I don't need a referral to go the EPU at my hospital anyway. Although now I feel like I would be wasting their time. I don't want to leave someone potentially waiting longer to get help, because I'm there, and then everything turns out fine (I have almost a pathological desire to not be a bother).

MrsChemist - fingers crossed for you. Welcome to all the new people - our list is getting very long! I got a date for my booking in appt and scan today. Booking in appt for 10 weeks which seems a bit late but I think there might be a little baby boom going on. Oh and first puking episode this morning. It's all gearing up!

LostGeek I has my booking in appointment the same day as my scan at about 12 weeks because the booking in was done by the hospital not the community midwife. That way I didn't have to make more than one trip.

Thanks for the support everyone :)

Hope everyone is still doing well despite the sickness

zinnia · 10/09/2010 10:11

Ooh MrsChemist that's actually quite good to hear that HCG in system = def still pregnant, I've been doing weekly HPTs (6 weeks today, still up duff, yay) and wondering if I was being falsely reassured by them.

Not that helpful in your circs, though, obviously. Hope you're all OK today and no EPU necessary...

Had a 'well persons' check up this morning and the doctor was all "good luck with your pregnancy", to which I replied by muttering about being quite anxious because of my age etc and she was completely blase about it, she's seen loads of women having their first babies at my age (38), more people delivering successfully over 40 than under 20 blah blah blah. Doesn't help with the ever-looming MC possiblity of course, but was still quite comforted by her utter lack of concern at my geriatric pregnancy!

Yorkstar · 10/09/2010 10:17

Well said words Loopysmummy you're very right. Early pregnancy is a constant worry.

How are you today MrsChemist - has the bleeding stopped?

Well morning sickness is back for me - worse than ever. God knows what i was complaining about two days ago as iv been dry retching around the kitchen this morning Grin Although im pleased an all, i feel bloody terrible today.

Anybody else totally gone off food? I find that i have to force myself to eat tiny portions every hour or so to minimise the sickness but nothing is more off putting at the moment than the thought of food. Dh is in his element at the mo as he gets to eat his tea and mine! Oh well might be good for the weight loss before we begin piling it on!

Also, just wondering for those of you who have more than one dc. Is your pregnancy so far the same? Mine is. Almost exactly from all the symptoms iv had so far. Just wondering is there is anything in this in terms of the sex??

FFinally, hi to all the newcomers :) Lovely to see our list getting so long?
