Evening all,

tummytickler am so sorry to hear your news. hope you are getting lots of hugs and tlc and are taking it easy.

Mummywilliams oooh exciting am in Cambs too! Have updated list to reflect.

Sorry I have read through everyone's posts and now forgotten what I wanted to say. Please can I claim hormonal forgetfulness? I do hope that everyone is doing ok and taking it easy.

I've not got a scan date yet but mw is coming tomorrow to do booking in so should get something in the next week or so. Asthma is better thankfully but have had a pig of week at work so am making the most of DH being away to watch some crap telly and hang out here before getting an early night. Just hope DD doesn't wake up at 5.45 like she did this morning!

Hi Everyone - goodness, a lot has happened today!

Tummytickler - terribly sorry to hear your sad news. I miscarried too about 4 months ago and it's so disappointing and upsetting. Hope you're getting lots of support.

Purplebuns - I'm not needlephobic but feel like fainting at the feeling of blood leaving my arm! I now lie down and look in the opposite direction until it's over and I think I'm getting better at it! Hope you make it through without too much anxiety!

IheartRPatz - hope the bleeding has calmed down (or stopped completely of course). We'll all cross out fingers for you for the next 6 weeks or so.

Cowboylover - try taking pregnacare plus, it has really really boosted me and I have not felt that awful overwhelming tiredness since I started taking it. If you work full time, are you able to go and nap in your car at lunchtime? I did it with DD and it made all the difference. Tiredness should go by 12 weeks anyway.

Have updated my location, is anyone else in East Sussex?

Loopymumsy Shock I am at a local MLU under RD&E, I had my Dd in RD&E :o

Separate threads would be good, just whether I could keep up with both!

Zinnia it will be a race who can update thread first!

Southpacific I am getting EMLA (Local anaesthetic cream) from the doc which helps a little as I know it shouldn't really hurt, but it is the whole thing and while it is in my arm, YUCK! Envy

Wow hi all. Not been on here for about a week as been so tired!! Our list has really grown, big congrats to all the newcomers. Sorry to hear your sad news tummytickler , and fingers crossed to those of you still worrying.

I've been suffering really badly with the morning sickness, but eating small amounts every hour seems to be helping a little. I've been so tired too, been in bed by 9 most nights, and keep nearly falling asleep as work! Already have had to buy some maternity jeans and leggings, as I've really bloated out! And been using bio-oil to rub on my tummy everynight to help with the stretch marks.

Hope you are all well xxx

Purplebuns · 18/09/2010 09:27

Loopymumsy it is the other one, it is opening for births this month, but it still does antenatals and scans. It is very nice, very small but I stayed there for three days last time and it was soo lovely, shame they are not doing that anymore. :(

Sorry to hear your sick Mrscoles I had it so bad last time, so I feel for you.

I am going to work soon pah! I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday :)

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing ok.

Tummytickler, very sorry to read your sad news and wishing you every success next year.

I've been feeling absolutely rotten this last week - really ill with tiredness and nausea (actually took two days off work) and so much worse than last time (and I'm already on the Pregnacare Southpacific) but woke up this morning feeling human for the first time in a week - it's amazing how exciting it can be just to feel "normal"! Long may it last...

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend.

tummytickler I'm so sorry for your loss. Hope you have plenty of RL support and are taking it easy Sad

Felt a bit rough yesterday, and today my stomach has been hurting. I'm a bit worried that it's serious, but I've no bleeding and I do have IBS and it feels a lot like that TBH, so probably is.

Have been a bad mother and plonking DS in front of ceebeebies in the morning so I can get an extra hour napping on the sofa. It makes me feel much better though.

Hope everyone is well

QwertyQueen · 18/09/2010 11:28

hi
Just got a +ve test too!!! So I am due end May which means I will be one the last ones on this thread!!
Am still digesting it, but we were TTC so very much wanted.
Have DS aged 4.
So desperately want to tell friends.

ohmigod!

Bonkerz · 18/09/2010 16:39

hi all, not been on for a few days, sorry to hear of the sad news tummytickler, i know how it feels, take care xx.
Sickness really kicked in now, am having to starve all morning and only managing to eat after 1pm ish because i am trying to hide this pregnancy till MIL gets back off holiday! Tiredness is overwhelming at the moment too because i physically cannot get comfy! went out today and my hips were agony. I had severe SPD with my last pregnancy 5 years ago and its left me with sciatica.....could it be the SPD this early??? am only about 6 weeks i think although not been to doctors yet!
Big test tonight because im off to a family party where i will be expected to be drinking! i reckon my 2 SIL will guess immediately that im pregnant! I ALWAYS DRINK!!!!!!! cant even say im driving because DH is tee total. Kids are worried about me because i am being sick every morning.....my 10 year old wont guess (he has autism and wont connect the evidence) but my 9 year old DSD is bound to click soon!!!!

IheartRPatz · 18/09/2010 19:56

Hi all. I am still here, though am driving myself bloody crazy.
I keep tihnking the spotting has stopped, and then the next time I go to the loo finding it hasn't. Driving me nuts.
The EPU said to DH that I was too early to go in for a scan, and that it is probably just an implantation or I am "one of those women" who experience some bleeding. They said I couldn't go in unless I had some pain, in which case, go to A&E. By pain, I am assuming they mean doubled over in agony pain?
The EPU had told DH if I was still spotting to re-test with a pregnancy test, which I did today, and the test was positive within 10 seconds. But, I also know if you've had a m/c then you can still show a positive due to hormones, or am I wrong?
I got my letter today from the midwife, I dont have my booking in appointment until 21st October. I am going to go crazy by then :(

MrsChemist · 18/09/2010 20:22

I'm finding the same thing IheartRPatz, I keep thinking the bleeding has stopped and then it starts again.

I'd keep calling the EPU if you continue to spot, if it carries on for a while, they may want you in just to check everything is ok.

If you are really really worried, is there an EPU further away that accepts self referrals?
The hospital I've been going to isn't the closest but it's the one I had DS at, and the care was/is fantastic, so I'm willing to travel further.
It's a rather large obs/gynae/maternity hospital though, so they have the resources to deal with self referrals.

IheartRPatz · 18/09/2010 20:27

I just feel so miserable today :(

I did find a private hospital near us offering scans from 5 weeks (the EPU told DH I was five weeks, but everything I read says I've just started the 7th) but the scans are £75. Not sure whether to twist Dh's arm or not.

MummyWilliams · 18/09/2010 22:00

IheartRPatz I really feel for you. It is so horrible to just be left like this. Even if it is still too early for you to be scanned they can still take your bloods and test the HCG levels, to make sure that they are rising correctly. I suggest you push this further, explain how distressed it is making you and insist on something being done about it.

Take good care of yourself and let us know how things go.

------------------

Have had a lovely relaxing day today. Woke up at 9.40am Smile Had a late leisurely breakfast, cooked by DP. Then took the children to the park for a play whilst we read the papers. Then to Tescos to stock up on film watching goodies (cakes, popcorn, sweeties). Then to the dvd shop. Back home and we all settled down for a film session. It's so nice to just relax, instead of everything being so full on.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend too!

xxx

littlepea72 · 19/09/2010 07:45

IheartRPatz Ive just come back from the EPP unit (early pregnancy problem unit), Ive had a bleed, and had pain, so they did an inturnal scan, im only about 4-5 weeks (thought I was 6 but im not). They did see a small sack that would be the baby (thank goodness) but they also found 3 very big cyst's. I have to go back on the 30th for another scan to see how the cyst's are doing....Do you have an EPP unit near to you that could take you in??? Just wondering if your midwife could arrange for you to have an early scan??

tummy tickler very sorry to hear your news. I don't know what to say but sending a big hug.

IheartRPatz and MrsChemist I had a small amount of brown discharge last night, like the very beginning of a period. No pains (except the nausea/food related irritations!) and not seen any since. Is that what yours were like too or is it more red-blood like? I'm almost 9 weeks so can't believe it would be implantation related.

I don't think I'll call doctor unless I get something again - or should I?

Going for someone's birthday lunch today and dreading them taking ages to take my order - I reckon I'm gonna have to take secret breadsticks to munch or something! I'm finding if I get more than a few minutes hungry I feel terrible but if I eat the right thing, it keeps it at bay. None of my friends know but I think I'd rather risk behaving oddly than suffering with MS!

Qwertyqueen did you manage to come up with an excuse to fob people off?!

Bonkerz · 19/09/2010 12:06

well we had to tell the family last night! NOthing sceams PREGNANT more than a free bar and a sober bonkerz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel a little aprehensive now we have told everyone, im only 6 weeks so still very early for me and two previous MC have made me a knicker checker of the highest order!
Im going to make an appointment to see doc this week but my head is saying dont ask for an early scan and my heart desparately wants to see this little pip!
Iheart: push for further bloods or scans...make a nuisance of yourself!
LoobyLou, with my past pregnancies i was told Brown is old blood and red is danger..... try to relax and if it gets worse go to the epu.

pinkgirlythoughts · 19/09/2010 14:06

Hi all, I've been over on the pregnancy board for a few days, congratulations on all of your pregnancies!
I think I'm 5 weeks +2, but haven't seen midwife yet, so I'm not sure. The due date calculator on here gives me and EDD of 17th of May.

Hi All

Congrats to all you lovely ladies. Hope it's OK to join you now as I appear to be a late joiner but I'm actually due in early May... May the 4th (a Star Wars baby!)

It's our first baby and a surprise so hadn't prepared myself for feeling so rotten. I'm nauseous all the time, very tired, sore boobs, cramps, trouble sleeping and bad dreams! Feel guilty that I'm not overjoyed at the moment (we ARE pleased to be expecting), it's just still a shock and I feel so rough. Can't imagine anyone wanting to do it more than once! Don't mean to seem ungrateful though, we'd be gutted if anything bad happened.

We're getting married in December this year. It's been booked for months and I'd already bought the dress, so I guess I'll be looking for a new one - any ideas?

LolaJP · 19/09/2010 17:22

Welcome Tinwe - congratulations and sorry to hear you're feeling so rotten. What a huge few months you have ahead of you with a December wedding as well!

Thought I'd add you to the list and include my scan date and location too. QwertyQueen - would've added you too but not sure of your EDD...

I'm going back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks holiday and definitely not looking forward to it - I could sleep for England at the moment I'm so tired!
