Calling The Viroids - Just Shagging Graduates!

gormers · 13/08/2010 19:57

Just thought I'd start a thread for all those JS graduates, whether a newbie graduate or even if you left us a while ago and are well on your way. Would be good for us to keep in touch, see if we're all staying 'sane'. Grin

Don't know about you ladies, but I am still filled with the overwhelming urge to PIAR (that's POAS for all you older graduates - after you left us we went a little mad and started harnessing the power of the ramekin!) I think once you start the habit it doesn't leave you!

Well, it's good to know that the Just Shagging method works. Even if we did once in a while just cheat a teeny tiny little bit! Wink

Hi frakenfanny!

Good to hear from you; I can't believe that you're 27 weeks now!!! Seems like only 5 mins ago that you got your BFP! Am so pleased that everything's going really well for you.

Tell me, does this sickness ever go??!!!! I can't say that I'm 'blooming' right now, am really hoping that I'll start to feel better come the 2nd trimester! Although, having not had the scan yet I'm still worried I won't get that far!

You will also know ihaveaplan from the JS boards, although not her new name. She's our original thread creator!!

frankenfanny · 14/09/2010 23:22

gormers I was not happy till I had a scan and baby was not happy about it and kept wriggling away from the scanner- then I knew it was all OK.

I never had Morning sickness as such but have had constant nausea for 4/5 m then tiredness then hormonal weepiness so only just feeling bloomimg now.

I think I can guess ihaveaplan and am so excited for you.

Keeping everything x'd for you all except the legs Wink (couldn't if I tried-elephant thighs these days).

cowboylover · 19/09/2010 21:46

Hello!

So glad I found you all, I am a happy graduate at 7 weeks(I think) I am having bouts of feeling uncontrolably sleepy and feeling sick but not actually being sick which is good. DH is also fasinated with with strangely shiney boobs! Smile

Be good to stick with you as the other threads are are still very scary!

gormers · 26/09/2010 09:48

Hello fellow grads! And welcome to Cowboy, althoughI still love the Coyboy version! Congratulations!!!

So, I have been rather quiet of late, namely because I have felt AWFUL!! Been throwing up anywhere between 4-8 times every day, and needless to say been very very nauseous the rest of the time. And because I'm not 'unwell' I've powered on through at work, and just emerged out the other side of a 2 week spell where I worked more than 140 hours!! Can't say I've ever felt this bad, am most certainly not glowing!

Am now 11+1, and am hanging on the every word of people that tell me 'it all goes after 12 weeks' - I have a sneaky suspicion that's not quite true!!

Have tried to sleep a lot this weekend, as I can't do much else - OH has been a legend. God knows how some women get through this on their own - they have my upmost respect!!

Hope you're all having a much better time, can't wait to move on from Throwing to Glowing!

And to make matters worse, I've felt so unwell, that there's been no JSing for ages!!!

Just popping in to say hi. Hope you feel better soon Gormers 2nd trimester is normally better. All well here, about 23 weeks now so expanding rapidly. Do you know of any other grads so far?

loopeylu · 27/09/2010 13:12

Hi everyone
I'm a grad..22 weeks today. Feeling big, not sleeping that well but otherwise ok.

Hang on in there Gormers - it gets better..

BrassicaBabe · 29/09/2010 14:37

Thanks franken Grin

So nice to read how you lot are progressing too Smile

gormers · 30/09/2010 21:16

Hi brassica - hope you join us next month!xx

Loopey & Fuzzy - thanks a lot, am sincerely hoping things get better!! Actually not been feeling too bad today - major vomiting this morning, but that's all quite normal now! However, this afternoon & evening, dare I say it - not feeling too bad.

Glad everything's going well for you both - I have major 2nd trimester envy! It's great to know how everyone is after having shared so much together on the JS thread, it seems so weird to then move threads when the really exciting times happen.

Anyway, might hit the sack - 9 o'clock is a late night for me nowadays!

Popping head over the wall.....

BFP

I'm 4 weeks (6 weeks in doctor speak Hmm). Only found out yesterday and I've been bleeding for 8 days so I'm a bit Confused and not quite ready to graduate properly.

x

gormers · 09/10/2010 20:39

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!!
Congratulations Brassica, although I will keep throwing sticky thoughts your way until you're completely confident. I really really really hope that all ends up well for you. Am soooo excited!!!!!xx

I had my scan this week, all's good. Baby's got his hands way up in the air - weirdly mimicking the way his dad and I dance to King's of Leon Sex on Fire!!!! Guess that's continuing the true JS spirit! Am pleased to say that my vomiting marathon is beginning to settle, still not glowing, but feeling a whole lot better!

Brassica, big Reserved spot for you here. Best of luck!xxxx

OP posts:
frankenfanny · 09/10/2010 21:45

What gormers said. Got everything xxxx'd for you BB

cowboylover · 10/10/2010 09:57

Sticky wishes for you BB

I am 10 weeks I think but the midwives dates are coming up different are by AWOL and irregular periods so hard to tell!

Got my scan a week tuesday so really excited and DH keeps saying it will be our first of many family photos which makes me cry in my overly emotional state so I can only imagine what it's really going to be like x

How's everyone been doing on keeping the JS spirit alive in pregnancy? I was not doing so well until me and DH went out dancing last night and had so much fun it I didn't even notice I was on the alcohol free Sex on the Beach!!!

BrassicaBabe · 13/10/2010 21:05

It's beginning to sink in now. I'm 6+6. No symptoms yet though. I've told a couple of my friends, but it's all on the QT. I don't think it will feel real until we can start telling people.

Hopefully there will be a few more viroids jumping across to join us soon. There is def one other BFP over there, but I'll let her come over and tell you all herself Grin

I've jumped onto the June 2011 thread, but it all seems a bit impersonal after our cosy little thread. Smile

So we've got cowboy at 10 weeks, where is everyone else up to?

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 14/10/2010 10:21

I got a BFP a week ago today. Not graduating until I'm safely past the five week mark on Monday though as this is attempt 3 in 3 months now Sad and Grin

Just reserving my giant pile of pillows in advance. Fingers crossed I join you all here next week Grin

gormers · 14/10/2010 10:50

Hooray!!!
NMCB - so pleased for you, really really hope all works out for you, and sticky thoughts winging your way. Sneaky you - a BFP a week ago, I need to check the original thread more often!!! Wink Completely understand your reservations though, but am sitting here with fingers, toes and my curly hair all crossed for you!!

Brassica - looking good so far girl!! Glad all going well. Nearly 7 weeks - crikey!! That's quick - how ironic that one of us serial PIAR girls from JS would ever find out late!!!

Talking of which, PIAR is actually great practice for when you get that elusive BFP - all you seem to have to do at every appointment is pee in a jar on demand! So we're now all pros!!!

I'm now 14 weeks, all was good on the scan last week, and screening tests came back at 1/15,000 which was obviously great. However, after a week of the vomiting subsiding, been on nights this week and am suffering big style! Am hoping that it will settle after nights are over, only one more left - will look forward to some sleep this weekend! Glad that you've not had symptoms yet Brassica - hoping, for your sake, that you don't try and steal my crown of Vomiting Queen Viroid of the Just Shaggers!!!

So excited that you're both here, wishing you both all the best. Any more secret BFPs over there?!

OP posts:
NoMoreChocBiscuits · 14/10/2010 11:07

You'll find out soon enough Wink.

We're also nearly on a new thread. Probably by the end of the day at this rate Grin

Good to hear all is progressing well for you Gormers. I threw up quite a lot with DS so am expecting it to kick in in the next couple of weeks (for now just massive nausea and crisp cravings Confused). It will pass though, I promise.

BrassicaBabe · 14/10/2010 15:38

Looks like I was premature. BFN at docs today. I've done a few more tests at home. Digital still says BFP, but basic test with 2 lines is much fainter than before.

Back to the JSers for me....

xx

cowboylover · 14/10/2010 20:35

Ah sorry to hear that Brassica, I hope to see you here again soon.

NoMore how exciting - Sticky wishes x

frakkinstein · 16/10/2010 06:57

Aha! Now I am out I can cone and talk to you all again :) Keeling up with the name changing malarkey was just way too complicated.

JSing....failing miserably! Too tired and grumpy and feeling fat/bloated around where there should be a bump but it's still completely flat. Just my waist has disappeared!

If you read t'other thread there's another BFP who hasn't found us yet too Grin

So what are the rules for 'Just Pregnant'?

Thou shalt not....um....

Nope I'm failing miserably and being a fairly typical pregnant woman without the constant upchucking

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 16/10/2010 09:20

Frak I think you missed another BFP when you came to visit us, but it's not my place to say. Wink Grin

All looking good here still. Will be over Weds if I stay sticky Grin

frakkinstein · 16/10/2010 10:23

Indeed there's been a recent one too, hasn't there! But I read one as 'definite' and one still slightly tentative? Or did I miss yet another?

milanomum · 17/10/2010 09:25

Helllloooooo! Another grad here I'm only about 4 weeks clinically (2-ish 'real ones') so it's very early but we'll see!
I believe I'm the 'definite' one - there's another one who is probably just waiting for a bit but who should be a long soon

I actually didn't think I was pregnant as I had a tiny bit of spotting when AF was due and drank loadsawine as a result, but after another 4 or 5 days I tested and was gobsmacked to see a BFP! :o

gormers · 17/10/2010 21:58

Ahh Brassica, I'm so sorry to hear that. Thinking of you, and know that we'll see you back here before long. Virtual hugs to you.xxxx

Milanomum - hooray!! Well done you!!!! I think sometimes the reserve psychology works - the wine drinking often bodes well. I got my BFP the day after buying loads of tampons and joining a new gym!! The early days are so difficult on the sanity front - I still 'check' every time I go to the loo. Wishing you all the best for sticky bean(s!!) and a trouble free run!x

Intrigued as to the other BFP - I feel like I'd now be cheating to look at the original board!! Maybe a little sneaky hello will be ok!

'Return Of The Frak' - to the tune of that god awful mark Morrison(?) song! Good to see you back with your 'real' name!! Glad that all's going well for you, and that I'm not the only one who's letting my poor DH down with the lack of JS!! Poor guy probably doesn't remember how we made this baby in the first place!!

Agree, some JS graduates rules are needed....
Maybe the first should be - Thou shalt try very hard to get to get to the toilet in time when overcome with sudden vomiting urge; rather than hitting the pale carpet, especially the night before 8 of your friends come to stay over! D'oh!!!

OP posts:
cowboylover · 19/10/2010 16:09

A lack of JS here as well im sorry to report as just get so over sensitive I cant cope with much so been the master of the odd quicky rather than the old baby making sessions! [hgrin]

Went to the hospital today and was very confused by the 1st question from the Midwife was "why are you here?"! I thought it was just a normal scan appointment but it turns out due to my liver condition I am going straight under consultant care and they want to see me every 3 weeks!
Was a suprise but reasuring to see that they are taking my condition into account and keeping an extra eye on me.

Had a scan and showing 9 weeks 3 days so a new date of 19th of May. Was amazing to see with a heartbeat and little arms and legs swimming about like crazy! They gave us 3 pictures and I cant wait to see the next one at 12 weeks to see how my baby grape has grown!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/10/2010 11:51

It's official. I have a Sticky Bean on board Grin. Am 5+3 weeks, so still have a long way to go yet but at least now I can admit it to myself Grin

How is everyone else getting on? (beyond the obvious bigger, tired, shagless and glowing)

Frakk Milano was the BFP I thought you may have missed. The other BFP is still sticking so far Grin
