Where's everyone gone? It's not usually this quiet! Hope everyone is okay. I couldn't get online yesterday until mid afternoon and spent the day cleaning instead, I think I'm nesting early.

Anyhow, it made me realise I spend far to much time on the computer and I'm going to make the effort and go out and do something less boring instead.

Frizbe · 23/09/2005 13:06

RP, I know what you mean, although at least I have the excuse of working on mine, so I only pop on here if I get bored for a sec, that been said, probably be on here this weekend as dh away! and bet there's now't on the tv....

Zephyr, awww your dd's so cute! dh's job sounds a bit more promising? I certainly agree with staying until he's gotten some money in!

munz · 23/09/2005 13:15

afternoon all - I quite fancy those NCT sales, couldn't find one near me thou. prob have to go to swansea/camarthern.

ZP - yes good news if ur DH can get the target money - althou at least he'll have a guarenteed wage each week.

rp - i'm here but busy in work today - trying to implement a new stock control system, i'm in the middle of setting it up also silly me got caught out with MN on the bottom bar whent eh office manager walked in - hopefully she won't bother too much.

ng - gotta say i'm leaving him to venture himself - don't wanna push it on him incase he really gets annoyed! lol - he keeps looking in the baby cupboard thou - he's gettin more excited.

friz - oooooooooh we'll be talk buddies! lol, dh is working 24 hours tomorrow, only gotta take the dog into the vet's to be stabbed and thats it.

Zephyrcat · 23/09/2005 13:28

Afternoon all Just been for a big walk and got absolutely drenched! typical! knackered now though and got to go back and get dd in an hour - it felt like such a god idea at the time lol

I spoke to my Mum last night about my dates - she's a medical secretary so knows loads of stuff about stuff lol She said that they are more likely to keep the dates they've put down wrong because it's better for them if they are wrong that way than to find out i'm further on than they though - if that makes sense?!

I've just bought paint and paper paste for dd's room - i've got a sudden urge to get things done so must be nesting too RP!

marne · 23/09/2005 15:41

Afternoon,
Went to see the midwife today and herd babies heart beat for the first time also got told of for not going to hospital after a bleed i had last week, fed up of going as i bleed almost evry week and baby always seems to be ok.

NCT sales are fab, ive been to a couple and got a few good bargins shame they dont have them more often, its also a great place to meet other mums.

A few people have comented on my bump this week, i thought i was just fat. Anyway i feel great, even managed to do a few extra hours at work this week. Hope you are all well and looking fat like me!

chellebelle · 23/09/2005 15:53

I'm far too knackered to be doing all that nesting malarky - can't believe I'm still so tired all the time. Have been since the start and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Doubt that working full time is helping much either. Can't wait til half term when I can take a break for half an hour whenever I need one (as long as DS lets me that is).

RP - have you been watching "Why Don't You" again??? haven't heard that phrase in years!

RosiePosie · 23/09/2005 16:13

Lol, no it just popped into my head whilst I was typing the message.

Well, I'm pleased to report that time is marching on Sooo much quicker now that the summer hols are over and ds is in school - I can't believe it's Friday already and I am nearly 18 weeks pregnant! Still nearly four weeks to go until the scan though - I'm so desperate to know if it's a boy or girl ( I'm 90 percent convinced it's a boy ) - I never felt it with my other two, but I just feel it this time. Am I going to be shocked if it's not! (Thrilled though )

Frizbe · 23/09/2005 17:03

Munz, that's a bit extreme for the poor dog isn't it?!

Have a good weekend all!

desperatehousewife · 23/09/2005 17:28

Hello everyone,

just a quickie to say hi and bye...off camping this w'end (am i mad? in this weather?!)

Am totally knackered today (made mistake of actually going out with some friends last night and didn't get to bed til midnight - up at 6am...aaaargh, can't do it anymore)

anyway, hope you are all well and happy
DHW

Jackstini · 23/09/2005 18:12

Hi all - seems like AGES since I posted but only a few days! By eck you lot can clock up some chatting!
Went shopping for maternity wear last night and it was absolutely CRAP. Had driven 40 mins to Meadowhall which has loads of shops and they are all the largest versions but had the tiniest maternity sections in Next, TopShop, H&M etc. If it weren't for ebay and funmum.com I would be walking round fat and naked.
Glad everyone seems to be feeling pretty good. I am couting down to my holiday now - even though it is still 12 sleeps to go yet....
Then when I get back got my next scan to look forward to - although not til 3rd of November.
Cravings no longer for healthy stuff - melted cheese, chocolate and Walkers crisps - mmmmmm(not all together!) Hope you all have great weekends planned

munz · 23/09/2005 18:43

lol friz - it's only her booster - she knows thou cos all she's done is lick and lie on the back - hussy! lol.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 23/09/2005 18:57

Oh I take it they only have rubbish stuff in at the mo then Jackstini......I was going to pop up there and take a look soon as well......
Mothercare at derby has an ok selection of stuff in at the mo, I checked out Asda the other week tho, and didn't like any of it, but then I was looking for casual stuff and it was mainly work stuff! The woman at Next in Derby said the J26 Next by Ikea has a good maternity section? will let you know if I get there in the next week or so...

Frizbe · 23/09/2005 18:58

Munz, awww bless....off to bath dd now, then attempt to get her to stay in bed!

newgirl · 23/09/2005 21:01

I'm knackered! We had two late nights this week and I'm so desperate to have a social life I got really tired, so today I was useless - I kept trying to sneak back on the sofa when my poor dd was trying to get me to do jigsaws. I kept offering tweeneies videos but she started to look really depressed!! So I did beads and puzzles and crawing and making cards and now I am even more knackered!

marne - i didn't know you had had bleeding. I had a bad bleed two weeks ago and I think it has stopped now but I did get some spotting for over a week. Docs say it is ok and baby is ok but I would much rather I wasn't getting it at all - any words of wisdom?

ZC - what a pain they didn't book you a dating scan - apparently we don't get them here at 12 weeks unless we are really not sure - i guess it varies from place to place. I guess they will give you a proper date at the scan you have booked.

I need some bargains at the sale tomorrow - I have been wearing the same skirt all week! Byeee til next week!

munz · 24/09/2005 13:30

ng - disaster has struck - apparently CE has a new g/f - B*h! lol. (still visited me last night thou! ) he he, I hear he's going to be doing the great south run in portsmouth in october - so now do I tell DH I fancy going home for a weekend - then search the run course to find CE pounce on him with my stunning stumpy legs and 5 month PG belly - give him me no and hope he rings? or do I wish away and stay in ignorance thinking what might have been! he he he. (highly doubt my belly would turn any one on right now! lol)

friz - got her stabbed - thankfully she's actually still my friend prob cos DH is at work and she doesn't have a choice! lol, normally the little madam goes off and sulks and won't come near me! lol.

jack - cravings yes mine r the same althou DH cooked me a lovely mince roast last night - I was actually plesantly surprised he did the spuds and all! was dead impressed with him - cept we can't say that cos he'll get a big head! lol.

DHW - where did u go camping? hope ur weather's better than ours.

marne glad you've heard the baby's heart beat - it sounds really odd doesn't it! lol.

RP - I thought it was going slower actually 17 weeks tomorrow - seems to be taking forever to get to 20 weeks 3 more to go.

gonna go up dtae the stats again as we've had a couple of newbies!

munz · 24/09/2005 13:40

ok new stats list, one of our prev ladies, aunty anon I believe got her BFP on the TTC after m/c thread in the week so hoepfully she'll have a smooth time this time.

also keep havin pains on my sie (roughly apendix scan area) - I know it's not thaht scan doing it - could it be bean moving and kicking? feels like wind really - and a dull ache - not sure - comes and goes.

Wow - that's a list and a half!!! Well done munz!

Your pains might be due to your ligaments stretching - I get pains down the side of my bump if I lie in the wrong position at night. IMO it's unlikly to be kicking as I've never had pain with kicks just uncomfortable if it's kicking in the wrong place. If you've ever had flicky eye or a twitchy muscle somewhere I find that that is a similar feeling to kicking - apart from the stronger kicks whihc just feels like someone flicking you from the inside.

Am very pleased today - went to do the weekly shop as ASDA and low and behold they do have a maternity section and a not bad one either - managed to get a pair of black trousers, a pair of tweed style brown trousers, a brown top and a white striped shirt - SUCCESS AT LAST!!! Am thinking after payday that I might go and raid Tesco Xtra to see if they've got anything - has anyone else looked there yet?

Zephyrcat · 24/09/2005 15:59

Hi

Munz sounds like ligaments stretching - it's quite sore/uncomfortable. As chellebelle says kicks are like a muscle twitch and prob won't start til around 20 weeks or so.

I just decorated dd's room this morning and realised - what about when ds has to share with her!!? Oops. It's all pink with a huge fairy/princess/castle mural on one wall - he'll love that!!

Jackstini · 24/09/2005 19:01

Munz - Think you should leave CE to the imagination - seeing him in the flesh all sweaty might ruin the fantasy (then again...!)
I have same achy feeling down sides of bump - thanks Zephyr & Chelle for the explanation, don't feel so worried now!
Friz - I did Next at J26 last week - managed to get 1 top and a pair of black trousers. Think I will be off to large Asda tomorrow now I've read about CB's tweed trousers...
Went to see Miss Saigon today and it was fab although I am so emotional at the mo will cry at anything. Was hard to comfortably sit still for so long though. Going to pick up some friends now for a night in with a takeaway

munz · 24/09/2005 19:05

thanks girls for clearing thaht up - I did feel flutters type things last week, but nothad them since - I think the bean must have been swimming about near the surface! lol.

Jack - well this is my point isn't it - RL sweaty from running or fantasy sweating from naughty activities! lol. ooh er mrs!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 24/09/2005 21:26

Munz, calm down girl (throws bucket of water in Munz's direction!) Your pains could be your bowels etc moving about to make room, I had a few days of feeling pain in that area, then realised that bump had grown a bit, n things were shifting around! nice.....
Jackstini, glad chelleb, had some good results at Asda, I wasn't impressed with Spondon's selection.....but then I was looking for more casual gear, and they had lots of smart work gear, so you'll be ok if looking for that!

Frizbe · 24/09/2005 21:29

Oh Munz, ta for the Stats update, should we add Rom as well, for when she starts feeling well enough to post on here?

munz · 24/09/2005 22:23

I was thinking of adding rom actually yes - will have to have a chat to her about adding her on.

so u mean my bumps about to get bigger? - does this mean it's the start of - dear I say it - strech marks! OMG.

cold bucket of water's needed for the thoughts of CE at the mo - just watched him in elizabeth - hmmmm! - god can't u tell my DH is away at the mo!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 25/09/2005 08:56

poor old CE he's got his work cut out for him, seems he's in demand these days!
Hope you picked dh up on time!
I managed without stretch marks last time, until the last month, pah! they do fade tho, and bio oil works a treat on them
Have a fun day if I don't get to log on again later! dh is away still, so dd and I are off out to dinner with friends hurrah I don't have to cook!

munz · 25/09/2005 09:41

ah I know- alas he's a busy man - least he is in my house!

is that bio stuff the oil which makes the strech marks actually go - I remeber reading on here, was £7 per bottle or somehting? was hoping to avoid them.

got DH in time thanks. (forgot to take the beef out of the freezer thou oh well
