Did you tell them off on their thread thenÉ

Zephyrcat · 19/09/2005 18:52

I said on the original thread that I was saying it because dd's b'day is on xmas day and that's how I felt but it didn't mean i loved her any less!! Then when she said she could swing for me on a new thread I said to get over it lol

Cadmum · 19/09/2005 18:57

Guess the only small consolation may be that you are dealing with insane hormones and not rational mothers.

I have to admit that i coulnd?t help but think of all the people who TTC for ages with no results or those of us who conceive but miscarry frequently when I read the initial question. How bizarre to think that someone would avoid conception for a particular month...

Zephyrcat · 19/09/2005 19:01

Oh yeah definately - I was so happy when we conceived dd the timing didn't even come into it. It's only now she's asking about birthdays etc we've come to realise all the things she's going to miss out on and it can't be nice to have everyone busy with xmas on your one special day. I guess that got taken as being ungrateful rather than an honest answer to the question!! Never mind.

Cadmum · 19/09/2005 19:10

I would absolutely defend your opion. It is an informed and real one. The people who are still due in Dec can only imagine how it will all play out.

For the record I would be delighted with a baby any day of any year. (Still especially hoping that March 06 works out!!)

It sounds as though you very much love your Christmas baby just not the fact that her birthdate is a challenging one.

Really hope it all blows over soon.

RosiePosie · 19/09/2005 19:24

ZC, I only lurk on mumnset really - only posting here and occasionally on relevant threads to do with pg/childbirth etc.

I have no clue what it's all about, but I use several parenting sites and they are all the same - they all have moments of madness, bitchiness, weirdness. Thankfully, it's never been directed at me. Anyhow, I'm not about to go off and read the threads - it's none of my business, but huge hugs to you. The people involved are only a small minority and most people on mumsnet will be unaware of it all.

Frizbe · 19/09/2005 19:57

Here here RP!
Right, must remember back to Zephyr.....
Hope all allrighty?

expressmummy · 19/09/2005 20:53

munz · 20/09/2005 08:04

morning all, how r we today?

RP - just placed my order - it's bloody back to Euro's again so hope it's not more than they say to come out of my bank. got a pack of liners, another pack of nippa - i'm always loosing things! and a bag. asked her as wel, instead of refunding me the money just to chuck in 2 packs of boosters - I know it's cheeky, but from doing paypal in work I know how much hassle and paperwork it can be to fanny about with refunds etc. so please i've got my nappys - ah so sad! lol.

EM - glad every thing's ok with u honney.

ZC - steak can't remeber when I last had steak - oh yes a put lunch and they put butter in the roll it was horrid all greesy the steak was well - so sickening I couldn't eat it - took it home in a napkin for the dogs in the end! lol. with the birthday thingy actually DB's b'day is jan 3rd, and mum had a terrible time getting all the xmas decs down about 4 days after xmas amongst all the toys etc so he knew it was his b'day and not a carry on for xmas. good thing I suppose was his b'day was normally always in the school holidays. and I second what RP says, we're a nice bunch of girls on here I think, ((((group hugs))))) u do get bitchin on here - personally I either ignore it or go onto a differnet thread, (althou I do post pretty much everywhere - I don't care! lol.

cadmum - well quite - tbh I totally agree with u, after how long we were trying for all the poking and proddin I had and internals the m/s's i'm just glad that I got PG and it's stuck never mind when the b'day is - althou sod's law i',ll be in labour on my birthday DH just wants me to have a cheap b'day again - cos u can't have a nice dinner out and a bottle of wine in labour now!

talking of which anyone heard from DHwife at all? she wasn't on yesterday?? hope all's OK.

Midwife apt today at 2pm - mustent forget! lol.

Hi everyone - I'm off to gorge myself on a pizza hut all you can eat buffet later on today . Will also be popping into M&S which is next door to see if they still do bras in my size, I'm busting out at the seams at the moment. I don't need an M&S bra fitter though, I need a blimmin' construction engineer!

This having an older child in school lark is fabulous! I almost feel like a lady of leisure.

munz · 20/09/2005 08:39

LMAO - construction engineer! lol.

at the pizza hut - don't forget to share it out! our nearest PH is 60 miles away! ooh have a slice of stuffed crust for me with chic and sweetcorn - ooooooooooh hmmmmm making my mouth water now! lol.

HI all, been offline for a while and just caught up with the thread....
Swiper/Zephyr...what was all that about???!!! Have looked at the original thread and all I can think of is hormones...by the time we get to 30 weeks bet we're all huffing and puffing with each other!!
Great news about your scan Piffle
Munz- bargain! We had Tommee Tippee too and Ds did prefer them to Avent.
Welcome to new girls.

Oh yes, and in answer to a question early on in thread...I am so windy it scares me!
xxx

RosiePosie · 20/09/2005 09:36

Lol, poppyh - I'm sure the baby won't mind!

munz · 20/09/2005 09:37

u could alway put a blue sheet over the sides?

OP posts:
poppyh · 20/09/2005 09:40

It was only a fiver.Just need to get a new mattress. If its a boy, he will be in touch with his feminine side!!
Have no money today so am stuck indoors!

madrush · 20/09/2005 09:41

Morning all,

LOL at construction engineer, I'm bursting out of bra at size I wore all way through last pg ... and I'm only 13 weeks. I AM going to explode by Christmas, but I love it really! Off to book in with midwife this am, hope I get to listen to heartbeat. Yesterday was edd of baby I miscarried earlier in year and I survived the day so things can only get better now.

I think if you're getting a cheap birthday date Munz it's very ok to delay celebrations to a more suitable time! We had a dinner party on Sat eve and DH expected sympathy for his hangover in the morning, instead of me insisting he got out of bed to help clear up!

munz · 20/09/2005 09:43

MR (((((((hugs)))))))))) how r u feeling honney?

hope all goes well at the m/w apt for u.

OP posts:
madrush · 20/09/2005 09:44

Poppyh, if baby is a boy he's really not going to notice! I like breaking the rules and buying trainsets for dd to play with. I think those sorts of things are fine, but my MIL and FIL go crazy (which just makes it more fun)

madrush · 20/09/2005 09:45

Thanks Munz, had to remind useless dh too which made me sad, but I'm just glad I'm on this thread and not still ttc.

Better go get to this appointment, see you later.

poppyh · 20/09/2005 09:45

Yes good luck madrush.
My baby is due in between my son and my daughters bday.Thats an expensive month!!

poppyh · 20/09/2005 09:46

My MIL will be disgusted, but she only needs a slight excuse!!

munz · 20/09/2005 09:50

well MR we're here if u wanna chat. (((hugs)))

OP posts:
poppyh · 20/09/2005 09:52
