gosh u were all quiet today! the day went well at my thingy - we had some v pleasing eye candy in the stall next to ours! cheeky man he was! lol. nice dinner as well - apart from that really just sat down with a cuppa and had a natter - also got my bounty pack today (there's loads of washing powder in it! lol - althou not as much as it shows on the book - is that the box stuff or all the stuff together?) either way i'm v pleased as I can now wash some baby bits b4 putting them in the cupbord.

hope everyone's doing OK - I saw the due in may thread - gosh just think that one must be coming to a close soon and it will be june

good news with DH's promotion - looks like 80 odd% chance he's got it so fingers corssed everyone still pleased. (even thou it's been decided we need to wait till oct to find out) for roup hugs and lots of lucky dust!

ooooooooooooooooh and guess what - i've got a bump! YAY!!!! (or it might be these clothes or the mirror I looked in but def bump!!!! (hopefully ti will only double (as it's still quite small) but it's def there! YAY!!!!! my bump!

OP posts:
Jackstini · 15/09/2005 18:46

Yay!! Munz - hooray for your bump !!!!!!!!
Good luck re the promotion news too - how will you both manage to wait til October - I would have no nails left!

munz · 15/09/2005 18:49

honney i've been biting them since I knew he was up for it in august! lol - he had a breifing yesterday thou which went well, and he came out a lot happier than when he went in - he now actually thinks he might get it and for us it would be a god send as it's roughly £500 extra a month for him (hopefully) so it will really take the pressure of of buyin baby bits and not maanging xmas and the car/mot etc u know.) fingers crossed - not counting my chickens yet - but i've promised him if he gets it he can splash out on a new coffee maker for himself as he's wanted one for about 18 months but we've not been able to afford the one he wants. (that one with the little kenko pots)

Hi everyone - sorry it's been a while my web connection has been down (horror!) Long thread since, so for an update I was really worried about 12 week scan and fretting in a very sad newbie manner...

Well after all that worrying little tyke was jumping and twisting and doing cartwheels, all arms and legs in place and no alien tentacles (phew) but a big nose like mine already poor chap. Explained to scan lady that my SIL had been worrying me, so she measured the nuchal right then and there, and said it was 1.8mm so no worries , and she was really reassuring.

Turns out that we are much further on that they thought so have revised due date 11 days earlier! I did not expect to see so much and really loved it - DH was a bit sniffly the owd softie!

Anyway seems real now and we have even started talking about what to do in the nursery and names (yikes a few arguements coming up I reckon!) I love some of the ones you've been talking about, but won't pinch if I can help it!

Incidentally Romiley is a village near me on the edge of the Peak district, very pretty, so I think it's a lovely name, and unusual as well! At the moment I like Kit for a girl after my grandma (but short for Kate so if she hates it she can change it when she's prime minister!) , but DH hates it. I'll work on him! No idea for a boy at all...

Thanks again for all your lovely words, hope all of those with 20 week scans report in soon, and I will be staying away from my SIL for a while, the meanie...

Frizbe · 15/09/2005 20:12

Oh Piffy that's great news! agree stay away from SIL for now!
and you too as well Munz! really hope dh gets new job (x'd fingers for you both!)
DHW grim day today I totally agree, went into Next to use £20 voucher today and they had no maternity wear, so ended up buying dd clothes as well, was rather miffed to find their twin sets of things go up by £2, for the age 2-3 range.....as if they use that much more material than 18-24mths stuff...grrrrr.....
Ran into a mum friend of mine today, who I distinctly remember delighting in telling me I looked big quickly with dd, anyway, she's 2 weeks further on than me currently and looking way, bigger than me, har, har wicked aren't I!

munz · 16/09/2005 09:40

mornin girls - yay it's friday!

piffy - glad everything went well for you at ur scan - it does make things real doesn't it - and I think real for DH/P's as well as until then all they have is our word on what it's like iycwim.

friz - he he at u! lol.

how is everyone doing today? rol on tues when I can go to the m/w and hear the bean again - haven't been able to find it on my doppler - althou it does say not b4 20 weeks and my friend stuggled to find her DD's who's now 18 months.

munz · 16/09/2005 10:01

RP - my quote for all of these was

10 normal tots, - 77.99 (10 nappies, 3 wraps and 3 boosters,)
3 bumbozzles - 23.97
7 fluffles - 55.93
5 wraps -25.00
15 boosters -11.97
1 bag -3.95

£200 with smiley bots for the nippas - but i'll go to the nappy place you said for the fluffles I think, might just get boosters and a bag from her. thought that was quite expensive - what do u think?

OP posts:
RosiePosie · 16/09/2005 11:01

That doesn't sound too bad, Munz. It's always best to shop around though. If you go to www.theclothresource.co.uk there is a LONG list of all the online nappy sellers, so maybe you could find a better deal.

Piffy, it's lovely to hear you so happy - so glad your scan went well.

My MW has just been and gone, all okay here - scan date not until 18th October though, when I will be 22 weeks! That seems like ages away.

munz · 16/09/2005 11:11

will do RP thanks - 18th oct eh! - not long to go thou gosh we're soon gonna be out of the second trimester and into our third!

OP posts:
desperatehousewife · 16/09/2005 11:59

Piffle - great news, now relax and enjoy!!

munz · 16/09/2005 12:50

girls - think I felt flutters possibly - is it like when the blood rushes to ur eye and u have fluters - just had this in my tummy (underneath my bump bit - could that be flutters possibly, or is that just where i'm a bit hungry?

Cadmum · 16/09/2005 13:23

Only have a brief second and wanted to say how pleased I am for Piffy! Father along; small nuchal fold; active baby; teary hubby... Sounds like the things dreams are made of! Yeah!

I am feeling spoiled because I have a scan at 17 weeks and another at 21. (Because of my previous missed miscarriages.) I am reliably able to find baby?s heartbeat now so that has certainly made me feel less stressed. As of yesterday, I have a proper bump!!! No more jeans and capris for me. Only wish I had the confidence to buy some maternity clothes... What oh what am I going to wear for the next two weeksÉ Thankfully nobody knows me here so it won?t matter much.

Hello all! I will post more later when I have the chance to catch up properly.

munz · 16/09/2005 13:25

cadmum - get some baggy tracksuit bottoms. only 2 weeks to go for ur scan then - do u have a date yet? glad u're still hearin bean's heart beat.

OP posts:
Cadmum · 16/09/2005 13:26

Hello Munzie! Friday the 30th.

madrush · 16/09/2005 13:27

Hi everyone, it's been ages since I posted because I had a paranoid time and became superstitious, thinking if I mentioned pg too much it would go horribly wrong again. Had 12 week scan this week and feeling more optimistic now. Haven't had time to catch up on all the posts I've missed, but will try to go back later.

Good to hear some people feeling movements already, I can't wait for that reassuring feeling.

Take care all xx

Cadmum · 16/09/2005 13:27

munz · 16/09/2005 13:28
