isn't it the bonus this week?

OP posts:
swiperfox · 14/09/2005 14:19

Hopefully! THats 500. He got 'predicted' 400 wages but that can change if a deal drops out so that's where the dodgy bit is! Such a stupid job - will be glad when he walks out!!

munz · 14/09/2005 14:25

well hopefully he'll get more than predicted, is it usually less?

OP posts:
swiperfox · 14/09/2005 14:26

A couple of times he's been predicted something and got nothing!! I don't think it's ever been more though. IT should be ok because he gets paid 3 weeks after the deal is made so shouldn't in theory be a reason for it not to go in - but they are dodgy lol

munz · 14/09/2005 14:33

that's a bit bad isin't it - what does he do? will it be easy to get another job in ur area - with similar wages (hopefully reliable thou)

Lizzylou · 14/09/2005 14:42

Is it Sales he's in Swiper?
My Dad has had a run of bad luck on the sales job front and is in a meeting now fully expecting to get laid off by latest shark of a company! He is always cheerful about it though whereas I worry endlessly about him.
Hope your DH gets what you want!

Funny lunch tho!

Jackstini · 14/09/2005 14:44

Swiper lol at your cod roe & your choccy milkshake. Have had to go downstairs and get the nesquik out. Can the company at least confirm how much money is coming on Friday?

newgirl · 14/09/2005 15:10

swiperfox - that is a legendary lunch. my fruit cake and falafel looks quite tame now.

its our nct sale on sat (in st albans though so no good for the southerners). I love it - I dont' need anything but I always buy loads of things!!!! Its brilliant to sell things too. The NCT website lists when and where they are on and anyone can go you dont need to be a member.

swiperfox · 14/09/2005 15:18

He works for zenith windows - upvc windows/garage doors/fsg's that kind of thing but they get paid comission only so if they dont sell they don't get paid. He's had some brill weeks but when it gets like this it's not worth it. Our next 3 months rent will be due at xmas so we can't get into this situation again then!! Hopefully he
'll pick up some driving or something for now. He's actually a publican by trade but not sure we want to go back to that.........

munz · 14/09/2005 15:25

ooh my dad works for them servaying the windows after they've been sold. don't know what his pay's like - (they did mess him about at lot at the start but seems to be OK now).

OP posts:
swiperfox · 14/09/2005 15:28

He's probably paid a salary Munz - seems on ly the mugs who are prepared to do saled get trampled on!! DP's boss pushes them so hard - he earns 2% of everything the reps sell - so aroud 10-20k a month and goes beserk at them if he doesn't get his bonus while they are working for 0!! Is your Dad based down South? dp might know him!

munz · 14/09/2005 15:30

no he's S.E. he gets 1.8% I think it is for the value of the windows he servays, but if they have 'remakes' (I think they're allowed 2/3% of the total or soemthing) then they loose that and go onto 1.5% of something silly, he's lucky thou normally has about 98-99% on his windows as he's so particualar with messuring them - agree thou he definatly wouldn't do the sales side of it.

OP posts:
munz · 14/09/2005 15:31

he's with the peterbough office now (the andover one clsed down) - suits him better as the work is mainly closer to home instead of all over hte west country.

OP posts:
munz · 14/09/2005 15:33

petersfield even not peterbourgh.

OP posts:
swiperfox · 14/09/2005 15:35

lol We moved to Soton from Andover but dp started off at Basingstoke before getting transferred here. Small world!!

munz · 14/09/2005 15:46

yep certianly is dad prefered andover's area of work but likes petersfield having an area closer to home. (less travel!) lol.

my unlce also worked there as well - bowwater side as a sparkey. (think zenthith bougth them out- or the other way around?)

Frizbe · 14/09/2005 15:57

Bloomin eck you lot can natter! not time to read all yet, will check again later, but just to fill you in, have been for 16 week bloods today, bubba has a fine racing heartbeat (oh is it a girl???? wheres that 20 wk scan?!) and kept kicking me! boy can you hear them kick on a doppler!! looks like I have bruised ribs a coming....oh I've also managed to loose 0.5 of a kilo apparently, I reckon their scales are shot personally!! as they weighed me half a stone heavier than my nice scales at home in the 1st place!!!

RosiePosie · 14/09/2005 16:14

great news, Frizbe - always reassuring to hear the hear the heart and feel it moving. I'm definately feeling some flutterings now, but nothing too obvious. Have you got a scan date yet?

desperatehousewife · 14/09/2005 16:22

god, this is getting really exciting now isn't it!? Glad everythings ok friz.

I've thought a couple of times I could feel a flutter, but to be honest, think it's more likely to be my food going down or wind!!! .

My 3 year old boy skipped to nursery yesterday telling me that "it's a skippy sort of day" and I said "are you happy?" and he replied "Yes, i'm just so excited about the baby". I nearly blubbed!!!!!

God, i'm enjoying not feeling grim so much. Such a relief.

Am also enjoying my shopping bag sized new bra. Feel like a new woman - can actually breathe again!

x

munz · 14/09/2005 16:33

dhw - lol @ the new bra!

friz - glad everythings ok. u think it's a girl? lets see in 4 weeks! lol.

not had any movements yet - althou can feel 'tuggin' occassionally similar to what I had at the start - could this be it?

think we're gonna need another thread soon.

won't be on tomorrow - out on a 'field' trip - so will actually have to work

OP posts:
newgirl · 14/09/2005 17:13

dhw - that is a lovely thing to hear! Skippy sort of day is just lovely! The nicest thing my dd has said is 'good morning beautiful' as she woke me up and she said 'night night baby' the other day.

Frizbe · 14/09/2005 20:24

Aww DHW!
RP scan date is 12 Oct!
Munz, I don't know really I thought dd was a boy and look what happened there!! as girls are supposed to have faster heartbeats, I'm just randomly guessing!

desperatehousewife · 15/09/2005 11:13

morning girls...where is everyone?

Gloomy day today .

How is everyone?

desperatehousewife · 15/09/2005 11:27

can you believe it, there's a 'due May 06' thread already. shows how far we've come eh?

Jackstini · 15/09/2005 11:40

Yes it is a nasty day - don't mind working too much on a day like this. May 06 thread - wow! Makes me feel slightly better about my date being put back when I know I am further on than the newbies
Loved the 'skippy sort of day' comment - bless!
