I thought I'd start a due May 2006 club even though its very early in the month for it.

My stats are

ME: 31
DH: 30
DD: 3 next week!
Next DB due: May 1st (4 weeks pregnant today!)

Just been to the docs to get it all confirmed and seeing the midwife tomorrow. Look forward to more of you joining me as the month progresses!

Actually, I expect to have an elective section after an emergency one with DD so db will probably be born at the end of April. But like the idea of a May thread nonetheless!

I am so sorry to hear your news I will be thinking of you x x x x x

littlemisspiggy · 27/09/2005 12:49

Oh Carameli, I'm so so sorry. These things really make you appreciate what a miracle it is to conceive in the first place let alone make it through 40 weeks. I do wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your DD's birthday party.

hockeymum · 27/09/2005 13:03

Carameli I'm so sorry to hear that. We will all think of you as you recover. Well done for keeping positive and enjoying your dd. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating her birthday. Thinking of you and sending lots of virtual hugs x

Carmeli - so sorry to hear your sad news!

I cant imagine your pain

But I can imagine how you feel you want to appreciate your dd. We are lucky to have been blessed with one child already. Some people are trying for their first.

One thing for sure is you gave birth once so you will do it again.

I hope your pain eases over the next few weeks.

HandbagAddiction · 27/09/2005 15:17

Carameli - I'm so sorry to hear about what has happened - you must be in pieces. It is really sad news .

Sending you my best wishes - please take your time to recover emotionally and physically at your own pace and take care of yourself.

HI - just thought i would report in!! Well, i'm about 9 weeks pregnant now, cannot fit into any of my clothes, have lots of niggly pains and have developed a severe wind problem which my dh finds hilarious! I could literally power a steamship atm sorry if tmi!

Generally feel ok but around 2pm each day i could just curl up under my duvet and sleep and sleep and sleep. Unfortunately with a nearly 3 year old and crappy p/t job i find this impossible!! Havent gone into work today as feeling all achey like i might be coming down with a cold or something - i know it sounds kinda weak but i just feel so run down atm - mouthfull of ulcers too which are agony. Anyway, despite all my moans and groans i am very grateful to be in this situation.

Met my midwife last week - not the most friendly of people but never mind. Think she may have had a personality bypass.....................

Anyway, hope you ladies are all ok XX

littlemisspiggy · 28/09/2005 11:07

grrr! Commuter trains! Yesterday I was so hungry and tired on account of terrible night's sleep but it took me nearly 1 1/2 hours to get home! Anyway, that's my moan for the day. I am now 6 weeks and counting and feel ok-ish but nauseous when I'm hungry and a peculiar almost flue-ish feeling IYKWIM. Sort of shivery but my ears are burning at the same time. Does anyone else feel like that? Also I've been worrying a bit about finances while I'm off work (I'm the main earner) but have found out that my mortgage co. will allow payment holidays and I qualify. YIPPEE!! That will be a huge help.
Anyhow, I hope you're all starting to bloom and coping well and here's an update:

LMP - i've taken today off work cos i;m feeling like i might be coming down with something - kind of aching all over and flu like. Hope you feel better soon X

sniff · 28/09/2005 12:43

I am so tired and sick it was never like this before I am that big the booking nurse at the doctors asked if it could be twins you should have seen DH's face it drained of all colour haha

I had a really weird turn on saturday where I nearly passed out but have taken things really easy this week much to the discust of the dog and the other two DS and have had to tell the eldest What was happening because its so noticable

GrygielMM · 28/09/2005 12:56

I am so sorry Carameli. I have been through the trauma of miscarriage turned into ectopic (doctors were not sure at all what was wrong with me) and finally a laparoscopy.
Two and a half months later I accidentally conceived!!! and and now 9+5.

Do not give up! If you go over it fairly quickly and keep trying you will have a lovely baby very soon.

Lol

littlemisspiggy · 28/09/2005 12:56

Poor you. Have you got a scan scheduled yet? Maybe you are not eating enough carbs/sugar and that's why you felt faint. Good excuse to graze - How did your DS1 react to the news?

lovecloud · 28/09/2005 13:10

Hello everyone

Mandymoo - i feel just like you

Everyday I have to nap too and if i dont I am like a zombie. Its crazy and so much harder than first pregnancy. I get real hunger pains constantly and find myself eating all day, feel sick all day but not actually vomiting although sometimes i wonder if that would help. Everynight as I am drifting off I wake with hunger pains and my lovely dh make me a butter and marmite sandwich and glass of milk - i love it. Almost becoem routine, than I drift off nicely.

Yesterday dd would not have her afternoon sleep so I was deprived and almost cried I was so tired... but in those moments I just remind myself that this is what I wanted.

I cant wait to see my mw, no news from them yet. I was 9 weeks on Saturday. So looking forward to scan and to make sure little baby is kicking and hopefully only one in there... I would be a rubbish mum of twins

I have been reading childbirth stories and the second timers seem to have shot out - that is quote frightening, I want to push a bit otherwise I am scared to think of what kind os state my pelvic floors are in. So many storied on there about heads crowning before the got a chance to get to hospital etc. I know they enourage you to stay at home as long as poss but going by most of the stories I will be down there at the first flinch.

x

... so exciting!

littlemisspiggy · 28/09/2005 13:23

LC here's another 2nd time story -
My friend woke up around 7 am with terrible pains and thought it was the start. Wakes DH who starts getting DS1 ready for nursery. My friend gets really really bad pain and asks DH to rub her back but DH says busy putting DS1(still asleep)in car so she'll just have to hold on. Friend goes down to the living room and tells DH she can definitely feel something down there. He looks and can see the top of the head !! DH start calling for an ambulance and while she can hear him talking to them friend feels compelled to push and she does and baby pops out !!! DH drops the phone, catches the baby, friend picks up the receiver tells ambulance baby's here!!! Luckily as they were telling her what to do over the phone the early response unit arrived. 40 minutes from start to finish!!!
Scary isn't it?? I definitely want to get to hospital in time!!

Xena · 28/09/2005 14:08

LMP My EDD is the 04/05
I am having a terrible day DS threw a strop this morning and wouldn't eat breakfast I had to literally drag him to school. The DD's are driving me up the wall being really hyper and chasing each other round wildly.... why are we having a fourth

alicats · 28/09/2005 14:09

Littlemisspiggy - you missed me off you list
EDd approx 9.05.06 - hope thats ok to be included.

Still not heard from the mw either am now over 8 weeks so feeling nausaus all the time and just trying to work through it, work still do not know but they are getting a bit suspicious. I'm feeling so tired at the moment.

Hope all your ladies are doing ok?

zzoey · 28/09/2005 14:48

how about a home birth Lovecloud? then the m/w has to rush to you and you dont have to bother going anywhere in labour. I had one with DD2. means you're sure to get your own m/w (2 even) rather than them running between 3 rooms in the hosp.
no hurry to worry about birth yet though....

it will just be nice to get through the sicky bit

Enid · 28/09/2005 16:12

after dating scan today my edd is now 2 May

lovecloud · 28/09/2005 19:48

hi zzoey

i am considering a home birth but my dh is not keen on it - he is frightened in case i bleed heavily after like i did last time.

i was thinking of a birth pool in the midwife run wing of our hospital. but i know you can never be guaranteed it will be free. i wonder how popular the birth pools are.

i really like the idea of giving birth at home, all calm and cosy and the attention from the midwives would be great and to climb into bed after even better

although the other benefit of the hospital would be to spend some bonding time alone with new baby before i go home to dh and dd - i am sure i wont get a look in once through the door

dd is so excited and keeps saying "i will take the baby out now mummy and help you"

lovecloud · 28/09/2005 19:49

Enid

How come you get a dating scan so early?

PotPourri · 28/09/2005 21:07

I quite like the sound of a reallyquick birth. After 3 days last time, 40 mins sounds ace! I can't believe your friend just felt ina bit of pain - i.e. was not screaming like a cow (apparently what I did - DH loves to tell me)

Enid · 29/09/2005 09:23

as I have had a m/c in the past

Enid · 29/09/2005 09:23

also was unsure of dates

crumpet · 29/09/2005 09:30

Hi everyone, I have a dilemma - what would you do? Found out when I dropped her off this morning that there is a case of hand foot & mouth at dd's nursery. Various sites I've found suggest there's a risk to the baby if caught in the first trimester. So, do I ask the nursery to have her waiting for me at the doorwhen I go to pick her up (and have them guess why), or spill the beans to MIL and ask her to do the pick up (which will mean that for fairness I'd tell my mum also).

Was hoping to waiting at least until 12-13 weeks before telling people,(although the amount I'm eating probabbly means people will start guessing earlier!).
