I thought I'd start a due May 2006 club even though its very early in the month for it.

My stats are

ME: 31
DH: 30
DD: 3 next week!
Next DB due: May 1st (4 weeks pregnant today!)

Just been to the docs to get it all confirmed and seeing the midwife tomorrow. Look forward to more of you joining me as the month progresses!

Actually, I expect to have an elective section after an emergency one with DD so db will probably be born at the end of April. But like the idea of a May thread nonetheless!

Oh Gawd!!! - I've been sitting here for half an hour now feeling really queasy. I don't know if its just the mug of tea I had or the start of ms which I thought I had managed to avoid until now. Anyone else only start getting ms around 5/6 weeks?.
Mandymoo- re midwives: sometimes I don't think it's just 2nd or 3rd pregnancies. Some of the ones I met when pg with DS were not just indifferent but actually quite mean.I guess it must be just a job to them sometimes.

tortoiseshell · 23/09/2005 16:28

Can I join in here - I'm due about the 25th April, but given that both my previous babes were 12-14 days late, I'm certain to be a May delivery!

HandbagAddiction · 23/09/2005 16:37

Welcome Tortoiseshell!

Littlemisspiggy - really bad sickness at only 3 weeks pregnant was what made me first realise that I could be pregnant - I felt crap!! Has eased off massively now but I do still get the odd wave and it's actually much worse in the evening/nightmare when I'm tired...I'm 5 weeks now!

littlemisspiggy · 23/09/2005 16:49

Really hope it's just the tea because seeing as DS seems to function on rocket fuel it won't be much fun having ms over the weekend.
Have a good one all!

zzoey · 25/09/2005 20:39

Hello tortoiseshell and everyone

I'm feeling so sick and tired. don't know how I'll cope with a week at work (at least I only work 3 days) pretending to be fine. and only 5+5... I suspect things will only get worse. have spent most of w/e in bed. thank goodness for dh. sea bands never worked for me (tried them first time round) but ginger beer helps a bit. any other suggestions gratefullly received...

hockeymum · 26/09/2005 10:12

Zzoey sorry I cant come up with any help. I'm totally laid up with my sickness, feel sick all day and night and throw up 4-8 times a day On a positive note hubby has started cooking and washing up for me as at least then I try and get some food in before it comes up again. Thinking of compliling a list of where is good to throw and where is bad. FYI park on way to dd's school good, behind a tree so hidden from other parents and small children. Asda checkout bad - kind of on show.

Also, got my scan date through for 12 1/2 weeks in middle of October. Am 9 weeks now so not too long.

Hope the rest of you are surviving the first 12 weeks ok.

Hi everyone

Littlemisspiggy -DD approx 09.05.06 but going on last time I could be even earlier so were just have to see - you see I had my dd at 29 weeks.

Mandymoo - ref midwives your absolutely right I had a nightmare with my midwife last time, in fact I saw her the day before I ending up having my dd and she told me everything was fine - this time I haven't even seen a midwife yet alone even been acknowledged - so I agree with littlemisspiggy. I think it just seems to be the luck of the draw, unfortunely

I too have had the most awful weekend esp sat I was sick, diarohea and just the feeling of going to be sick aswell, I couldn't eat much and ending up just laying down all the time but this was difficult to do with my 2 yr dd running around wanting mummy to play - dh was out, sunday was better and found that going swimming really helped me to relax - so that's one of my recc if you can go swimming ( I don't mean lane swimming I mean just laying around bobing up and down - relaxing)

I'm finding it so difficult to stay awake I keep rushing to the loo as you do and end up cat naping in there I wish I could just lay under my desk at lunch but i think people would start to ask questions and get even more suspicious that they are at the moemnt.

I hope all you ladies on here that are suffering at the moment esp with ms / tiredness feel a bit better soon

Huggs to all x

littlemisspiggy · 26/09/2005 11:32

Hi Everyone
lol hockeymum even though I'm sure it's not much fun in reality!
This weekend I have struggled keeping awake - had to sleep when DS had his afternoon nap which I never normally do. Also feel pretty queasy most of the time but rather than putting me off food it makes me want to eat (particularly cold things from the fridge and yoghurt and citrus flavoured drinks. I feel very thirsty all the time. This was the same when I was pg with DS. This time around though I have weighed myself so I know how much weight I am gaining as I go along as last time I had no idea and happily scoffed my way through the entire pregnancy and it took me 1 year + to shift the excess.
Alicat, I also how on earth I'm going to get through the week at work!!
Lots of love to all

Enid · 26/09/2005 11:46

just to add my tale of woe, puking every morning and evening now plus feeling sick most of the day. Have a dating scan on Wednesday. Should be 9 weeks + I think.

very tired and coping with the school routine for 2 children and work, then school pick up and tea etc is a bloody nightmare. At least dh cooked last night and made dd1s packed lunch this morning bless him.

Am already convinced this baby is another girl, dh will be disappointed but I quite like the idea of 3 girls, like Ballet Shoes . Good luck everyone x E

Xena · 26/09/2005 12:24

Hello all. Not been posting much as I haven't been very positive after the early scan. Well they repeated the scan today and all was well they agree with my dates (before they put me a week behind) and the H/B was good. I still can't belive that we are going to have 4 children.

My E.D.D. is the 4.5.06.

How old are you DD's Enid?

littlemisspiggy · 26/09/2005 12:36

Glad to hear your scan went well Xena! Hope you're feeling better about things now

Enid · 26/09/2005 12:39

congratulations Xena!

my dds are almost 6 and almost 3.

Xena · 26/09/2005 13:12

Thanks guys
Enid you are much better at planning gaps then us our gaps get smaller each time ds will be 8 DD1 4 and DD2 22mths when the next one arrives.
DD1 starts afternoon nursery next week so I'm going to time DD2's naps for that time and sleep myself.

rodeo1 · 26/09/2005 14:26

Xena, Thought I'd just pop on here see if you'd had your scan yet and you have! Brill news!!

tortoiseshell · 26/09/2005 15:36

Hi everyone - feeling much less sick during the day now - still feel really grim in the evenings. This is my 3rd pregnancy and the only one I've had cravings in - have been really craving fresh fruit, especially melon! Tesco do these little portions of melon or fruit, and have been scoffing them!

Hope your scan goes well enid!

mula · 26/09/2005 17:06

Can i join here? I'm 5 wks tomorrow with first baby after a mc at 4+3 in July. Has it confirmed by the doc today. Don't have any symptoms although i am feeling quite wet and leaky "down there" (sorry if tmi). Is this normal.

cori · 26/09/2005 21:13

Xena, how does your DS and DD get along. There will be a four year age gap between my DS and the next one. Just wondering what sort of relationship they will have. Do they play together?

tinasmrbig · 26/09/2005 21:35

Hello everyone! 23yr old, 6 weeks along, just found out I am pregnant last week.

My question is this: I don't feel pregnant. My doctor confirmed my pregnancy last week, but I just don't feel like I am. No morning sickness, no achy body parts, nothing out of the unusual except my missed peroid. Is this normal?

Xena · 26/09/2005 21:58

Hi Mula welcome to the thread!
Tinasmrbig with all of my pg's, symptoms have come and gone. I think its 'normal' if they don't kick in until 7 weeks.

Cori DS and DD don't play so much as are companions for each other, for example on a sat or sun morning the first one up will wake the other so that they can go down and watch TV together. Sometimes they play games and when we are out at soft play they tear round together. They also fight like cat and dog.
They got on better before DD2 was mobile they now both prefer her.
When DD1 was born DS adored her. I remember him in the hospital being absolutly besotted. I've photos of him curled up with her on our bed, my sister remarked on how different DS had reacted to her 1st and 2nd where the gap was only 2 years, the tolerence he had for her was amazing it wore of when she was about two though

hockeymum · 27/09/2005 08:28

Mula, don't worry about giving tmi, that's why we have nicknemas it's nice and anonymous.

Yes, the leaking feeling is very common, you can get an increase in your discharge due to hormonal changes. I remember it being really disconcerting in the early days because I kept thinking I'd got my AF or a MC and running to the toilet to check. Cleared up now though at 9 weeks. Hope that helps.

Welcome to all the new people, we are a nice big group now, glad to see my baby will be in such good company x

I won't be around anymore so cross me off the list Littlemisspiggy is you are still keeping one.
Started on Saturday and had a horible weekend not know what was happening, went to A&E who could only get me an appt with the early preg unit at Kingston on Thurs. Was quite distressed at having to wait so called my doctor yesterday morning who said that I could also go to St George's in Tooting who have a walk in clinic. They were wonderful and so kind to us. But I passed a large clot(sorry if tmi) just before the scan, so it was pretty obvious what was happening.

Sorry about the depressing nature of this, but just wanted to wish everyone else here the best f luck over the next months.
One thing, this has made me appreciate my gorgeous 2yr dd even more than ever, she has been so good and patient over the past few days!! Its her birthday party at the weekend so am looking forward to that and making her day so special.

Good luck all....

Enid · 27/09/2005 09:52

so sorry to hear that carameli

I know what you mean about appreciating your dd. my dd1 was 2 also when I had my m/c and she really was a fantastic reason to keep going on x E

Xena · 27/09/2005 09:55

Carameli I'm so sorry to hear that

crumpet · 27/09/2005 10:10
