May Babies 2006

I thought I'd start a due May 2006 club even though its very early in the month for it.

My stats are

ME: 31
DH: 30
DD: 3 next week!
Next DB due: May 1st (4 weeks pregnant today!)

Just been to the docs to get it all confirmed and seeing the midwife tomorrow. Look forward to more of you joining me as the month progresses!

Actually, I expect to have an elective section after an emergency one with DD so db will probably be born at the end of April. But like the idea of a May thread nonetheless!

zzoey · 03/11/2005 17:25

thanks Nasher

just to wish you lots of luck Crumpet. hope the cvs all goes smoothly. thinking of you. soon you'll have your result and 79/80 chance will be fine,t hen you can enjoy yr pregnancy.
my risk came out at 1:270 so only just missed the cvs. but not so sure that 1:270 is that different from in 1:250 when you get the cvs! oh well
it's so nice seeing the little one on the scan though

crumpet · 04/11/2005 17:57

Thanks all for the good wishes - we had the test results back today and were given the all clear. I had deliberately not thought about the ramifications of going ahead if it had been otherwise, and have to say it is a relief not to have to make such big decisions.

Roll on the next few months!

HandbagAddiction · 04/11/2005 17:59

Crumpet - so pleased for you!

louismummy · 06/11/2005 20:04

crumpet-congrats now you can enjoy your pregnancy...

PreggieMum · 08/11/2005 14:42

Haven't posted on this thread for a while. I was 12 weeks yesterday and have my booking appointment with midwife next week. Morning sickness not too bad now.

How is everyone else doing?

runtus · 09/11/2005 08:18

Morning sickness still a nightmare, find the train is the thing that starts me off and I can't get back to normal for about 3 hours afterwards...........working at home today and tomorrow, in an attempt to avoid it for a couple of days at least.

Might have to invest in some of the sea sickness bands people have been talking about and see if they help.

cori · 09/11/2005 20:46

Hi Everyone,
Had another scan today, am 14.6 weeks. Saw babies heartbeat, but they didnt measure growth this week. Have to wait for next week for that.
The baby that I miscarried stopped growing around this time, so have an anxious week ahead. Also had serum screening test today. I am expecting to have a high risk ( as I have in the past) plus I am now over 35. I probably would have refused the test but I found about my last miscarriage as a result of the various tests they do at 15 weeks, I will get the results on Tuesday so a bit of a worrying time for me.

Mandymoo · 09/11/2005 21:00

thinking of you Cori - hope everything is ok XX

zzoey · 09/11/2005 21:32

Thinking of you too Cori
remember pregnancies are all different and there's no reason for things to go wrong again this tim
awful how slowly time goes by when you're worried though isn't it. even so, soon you'll be safely past this scary bit
all good wishes
zzoey

littlemisspiggy · 10/11/2005 10:47

Cori - Thinking of you. As Zzoey says no two pregnancies are the same. I hope time goes by fast for you so you gain confidence every day that goes by.

I get my CVS results tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

lovecloud · 10/11/2005 18:16

hello

not been on here for a few days.

i am delighted to say i am no longer feeling sick - hooray

i am almost 15 weeks.#

its weird, now the sickness has stopped my colour has returned to my face - i dont feel pregnant.

my belly still looks like i had a big lunch...

never happy

look forward to the kicks and big bump now

Enid · 10/11/2005 18:50

I think I have felt the baby moving

like a little flick

15+5

quite exciting

hockeymum · 10/11/2005 18:51

Lovecloud - isn't it funny that we moan when we are sick but when we are not we don't feel pregnant anymore? I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and I'm only being sick about once a day now which is really good for me (it's all relative!) and I think I may even be about to glow! I hope so as I don't think I did at all with my dd! Feeling the kicks intermittently which is great. For those of you still just arriving in the third trimester it does get better, feeling the little one move about is just magical, it won't be long now.

Thankyou for your support. I know chances of miscarrying again at this time are probably pretty slim. I am not overly worried but at the same time I am trying not to be too positive either just in case all goes wrong.
I am feeling quite a bit of movement on a daily basis though. Just feels like something wiggling around. It is especially noticeable when I wake up during the night. I am also having that other horrible pregnancy symptom. Heartburn....it is a pain, but I had it quite severly with DS so it is reassuring in a way.

tortoiseshell · 11/11/2005 18:04

16weeks+5 today - sickness had stopped but then last night with no warning was really sick. Feel ok today, so wonder if I just overdid it yesterday! Think I'm feeling some movement - it's so hard to tell at this stage, and with 2 other children to look after it's impossible to give this little one the attention the first got when every twinge was analysed in detail!

Hope everyone's well.

crumpet · 12/11/2005 14:47

Enid, I've wondered the same over the last day or so. I'm just coming up to 15 weeks, which I thought was quite early, so I wasn't (and to be honest I'm still not) sure. But it's exciting.

Now just need to work out how to stop eating so much - I feel vast...

runtus · 14/11/2005 10:17

Will be 13 weeks on Wed and I THINK the sickness is beginning to taper off..........so long as I don't rush about in any way shape of form. Really seems to make a difference if I end up doing the typical commuter dash thing in the morning.

Suddenly appear to have a bump as well, where did that come from?????

mumsy32 · 14/11/2005 19:15

hello everyone.

New to mumsnet.

me - 31
dh - 32
ds - 7
ds - 2
due 10th may 2006.

Also have a cyst on ovaries measuring 6.6cm at the moment have another scan tomorrow as they say I am high risk.

zzoey · 14/11/2005 21:36

Hi all
Hi Mumsy32 and welcome. hope your cyst is ok. high risk for what sort of thing?

I'm about 13 weeks now and definitely have a bump. Sadly I think it's more fibroid than baby! But at least I may look pregnant sooner as I'm so big. Don't like the current bit of looking fat but not definitely expectant. Oh well, it's better than feeling sick all day. Now I only feel sick some of the day. much better!
cant wait to feel it move...
DD1 (age 4y) wants to know "what does the baby eat in your tummy?" and "can it cry yet in there?". Anyone else's kids asking similar?
zz

hockeymum · 15/11/2005 08:37

Yes Zzoey. My dd is 3 and she asks everything. So far we have had "can the baby see out of your bottom", "why does it kick is it very cross?" and last night when I went back to work for the first time in ages, a resolute "it's ok mummy, just take your baby out and I'll look after it when you go to work, you can put it back in when you get home" Oh if only it were that simple!!

Mumsy32. My pal had this when pregnant with her first. They just took regular scans and measurements throughout and they offered her an elective section. She didnt have this in the end, she opted to try and deliver herself, but did end up with an emergency section (for unconnected reasons, not due to her cyst) and they dealt with her cyst while they had her open. She had no other effects from it at the time or since. Have the hospital given you lots of information? Oh and congratulations by the way, welcome to May :-)

Hi everyone
Haven't posted in ages was waiting to have the ultrasound. Am 12 weeks today and had scan last Wednesday - TWINS!! My due date was 30 May but i don't think i'll get that far - gynae said my tummy feels as if I'm about 16 weeks so won't be able to hide the bump until xmas as i thought initially. Very excited now although it's my first pregnancy so really don't have a clue what to expect now.

lovecloud · 15/11/2005 13:33

Hello Mula

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that is amazing news - how do you?

My sil gave birth to unidentical twin boys in 2003. They are gorgeous and provide plenty of entertainment.

She is quite an organised mum so most mums of twins will tell you that you cant live without a good routine. They are very well behaved and very sweet children.

I am still amazed everytime I see them to think they were both inside their mums tummy.

Good luck !

crumpet · 15/11/2005 13:34

Hi Mula - what exciting news!
