Welcome to all newbies & congrats!
Thought I had better add myself to list as just realised I hadn't done it [pregnancy brain emoticon]
Still not feeling any real symptoms, just v. tired, but was the same last time so not overly concerned. Oh, and need to pee a lot!
Went to docs on Monday & they just noted down that I was pg & happy about it, now got bbooking in on Monday, SO not looking forward to being weighed!
One thing that did crop up though was lovely German lady doc asked my how many DC I would like, to which I said for, & she said they would only do 3 CSs, so this one would ideally need to be natural birth. And I am very worried I won't be able to do it again, or that it will hurt to unbearable levels. So will chat to midwife about all that, when I see one. Apart from that, feeling quite relaxed this time around, wish I didn't have to pick DS up so much, but no choice really, he can't get into own cot, high chair etc. We will probably stop using those around Xmas, his 2nd birthday, so won't have that when I am bigger. How are other 2nd time mums feeling & coping?
Sunshine28, I read through your questions & had some of the same myself last time, so here is my slant on things.
1)If you have a healthy balanced diet, you only need folic acid. All other pg vits ect are, imo, a big money-making scheme. It's a bit like with weddings - stick the word pregnancy or baby in front of anything & you can charge 3 times as much for it. Of course, others may disagree
2)Should be OK, again as long as you were eating balanced diet before with lots of leafy greens & Marmite! But check with doc/midwife if worried
3)I wouldn't dye my hair whilst pg, but not sure if it is advised against. Don't know, but perhaps natural dye eg henna may be safer? Google it or ask doc.
4)I still try & do 20 mins exercise bike per day, doc said if I did it before becoming pg, no need not to carry on as she says pg is not an illness! Last time was walking 5 miles per day (work & back) up to 37 weeks, when I went on ML. What I also loved was Aquanatal (from 14 weeks), like pg yoga in the water - they teach you different exercises for moving baby down/round later on, & water takes weight off your bump. I also made lots of really good friends there who I still see once a week, 2 years on. See if you have it iin your area, cannot recommend highly enough.
5)Not sure, perhaps say the chemicals make you wheezy or similar?
Hope that helps & that I haven't drivelled on too much!
Anyway, DS being extra good today & has been aasleep for 3 hours & still not stirring so I guess I should make the most of it & do some work!
Have a good day all
