just updated my due date on the list as its cchanged and i forgot to do it other day.
kittycatcat i get this all time, i did in my last pregnancy 2 as well as my eyesight all going black they never found a cause for it, told me it was prob down to drops in blood pressure and and drops in blood sugar

its awful, i went into a shop yesterday and was stood in the que and all of a sudden i started feeling dizzy and shakey and felt like i was gunna pass out, bet i looked a right weirdo

Hi everyone...have been away for a few days as have been feeling so awful..couldnt face even typing on here. Have been just hibernating in my pyjamas after work, watching t.v. and feeling exhausted. However today is a great day no sickness, and feel no tiredness. And ahve actually cooked a lovely dinner for my DP for the first time in three months!

Scan on Thursday am nervous, excited and apprehensive...

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted on here since my scan last week so I've updated my due date - got three days in the bag so I'm 17th April now. Didn't see too much on the scan as the baby was face down with arms up over its face, not moving! Very unimpressed with the first performance. I expect great things from the 20 week scan to compensate.

I got my results back from the tests for Downs which were 1:280. I got a screen negative but my probablility seems a lot higher than others that I've read. What is considered high risk? I'm 36 so wasn't expecting it to be really low risk.

Sorry to hear about those that have dropped out.

Had my 16wk check today (15+6) and they couldnt find the heartbeat but instead managed to pick up lots of movements and kicks on the doppler! Think this baby is going to be a pickle!

kitty I had that all the time with first two pregnancies - even managed to faint in brent cross once. Of course they insisted on covering me with a massive silver blanket and calling an ambulance. I ended up carrying either dried apricots or bananas with me all the time, that seemed to do the trick.

Seems a bit late as this thread's pretty full. Just got our due date on tuesday. We definitely have an April baby due 27th april. :)
They might arrive the week before that tho as I might choose another cs. (actually seems unlikely I'll choose vbac after last time!)
Very excited but quite different to first time round. So far Ds doesn't get it at all (he's only 18mo) but is starting to understand that I don't like being kicked in the guts anymore!

hello newbies and great news to hear of people's good scans and growing bubs! I'm so pleased to be back on here after scare that ended with me in A&E on a drip on sunday due to getting some gastro sick bug! Yuck. But luckily scan was Monday and all was great. SO relieved... Baby lay on its face at first but then (REALLY unfriendly) sonographer poked around (which hurt a lot) till the little mite did a shoulder stand and flipped over.

Am still getting really dizzy and sick, and for the 1st time in my life actually concerned that i've lost 2 kgs rather than putting on weight!!! But at last baby is ok so now I've just got to eat more! Anyone got any tips of dry, plain stodgy food I can try?!?!

Try the brat diet- works whenever we have the d&v bug with Ds. It's banana, rice, cooked apple, toast.
I'm eating lots of
Rich tea biscuits
Crackers
Ginger biscuits
Ginger ale
Lemon barley water
White bread
Weetabix- easy on way back up!
Cake- no trouble keeping this in! :)

Hello, I'm new in this thread, been waiting for the 12-week scan until posting...had it on Tuesday and everything was perfect, the baby was jumping around like it thought it's in a bouncy castle! It was hilarious, the sonographer, my husband and I were all giggling, it was so funny. I'm gutted I didn't buy a DVD as it would have been fab to show my parents & friends. Got a few good photos though.

This is my first baby, very excited! I've been feeling slightly better this week, weeks 6 to 11 were pretty bad, very nauseous and bloated. Manage to have salmon the other day which I'm happy about as it's normally one of my favourite foods but haven't been able to eat it for weeks...

Good news Kitty!

I have just spent the entire afternoon inviting people to a work event that is in October but I've written April on every single email. Clearly my brain had turned to utter mush and all I can think about is having a baby.

Is anyone else incompetent?! I have decided that I'm not allowed to do anything else at work as I am such a liability.

Is it time to go home yet?

I introduced two people today who have met loads of times.
And i've been with them all of those times.

oh my god...twins!!!!!

Had my scan this afternoon...and discovred I am carrying twins !!!! totally unexpected and we are in total shock. But was amazing to see two small babies looking like they were playing with each other inside of me My edd is the 28th but all the midwives told me I will go earlier as u do with twns...still cant believe it !!!!!

Wow Hippy double congratulations to you and all the other newbies on here, it's going to be a very busy April!
My DH said it must be too early to play the pregnancy card when I was all forgetful the other day, I don't think it's ever too early!

I've had a date through now for my 20 week scan on 15th November. Am hoping to find out the sex of the baby then, I found out for DS1 He'll be 3 in April and has told me that he wants a girl. I think this is because he believes a girl won't want to share his toys. he should be so lucky.

Personally I don't mind what I have, another boy would be good, I've already got the wardrobe and have a rough idea of what to expect and I like the idea of 2 the same. Probably because I only have an older brother and was always jealous of my friends with sisters. Through my rose-tinted specs I think the same sex are closer when they get older. but i'll be just as happy if I have to go out and buy lots of pink.

Wow Hippy - congratulations!!! Was wondering if we'd get any multiples on here. Fab news, if a bit scary too :)
