I had my scan today! All is well and the little bean even did a mini mexican wave for us!

It all seems real now!

Also had my Obs consultant appointment because I'm a big fatty boom boom of my BMI and PCOS. They don't need to see me again until 34 weeks so thats good. In fact the Dr was a bit confused as to why I'd been referred in the first place

So exciting! And now everyone can know "officially"!!

Oh and EDD changed to 16th April (2 days earleir than first thought! Yay)

Brillaint thats very exciting!!keep me informed of how it goes...I want the scan so badly, partly to know its actually there ! although from the way I felt over the weekend I shouldnt really be doubting it. !!

On a lighter note went back to work today and feel a MILLION times better then yesterday!! thank god .

Hi there, is there room for another small one? I had my scan yesterday and all is good fortunately which is such a relief having been through two miscarriages last year.

I feel huge currently and very tired, hoping the glowing phase will kick in at some point.

Booking appointment tomorrow morning and EDD is 13th April!

1st time mother i am with you on the pillow, i am using a normal one long ways at the mo but it's not stopping me rolling on to my tum and boobs

I think the nausea is easing off (touch wood ) Did have terrible indigestion yesterday though...signs of things to come?
Have got my new exercise dvd on, just wanted to make sure it works. I know I should have checked that it played then actually joined in with the exercises but I'm really sleepy so I'm gonna do it another day Looks good but just watching is making me feel unfit...me thinks it will be a while before I'll be able to do the whole thing

Have been getting achy hips, wondering if one of those pillows is needed here aswell.

Hi all, slight change of subject but I've had another one of those days at work and spent a bit of time thinking about mat leave!

I'm due 23rd April and we are allowed to start our mat leave up to 11 weeks before due date. Just wondering what other people are planning to do? Ideally I'd prefer to wait as long as possible and have the leave after the baby arrives, but I have a stressful job and also a commute on public transport - so also am quite taken with the idea of finishing work asap!

Anyone else had any thoughts about how long they will stay (or have previously stayed) in work up to due date?

had my scan today and to update my edd, its the 17th 2 days ahead.

Chessy I am not at work this time around but with my first I left the earliest I could as I worked in a shop and was on my feet a lot and knackered lol. Having said that I knew I wasn't going back so I guess that may not be much help.

Have only just realised I can have blue cheese if cooked I have been denying myself blue cheese sauce with my steak Not anymore lol

No way Stuffedmk, I have been dreaming about steak and blue cheese sauce. Mind you I like my steak rare, do you think going for a medium would be better??

Why don't they tell you that? Would it be the same for things like parma ham? I wrap stuff and cook it in the oven.

Mmmmmmmm, blue cheese! I've been getting my fix on pizzas as I figured that the heat from the pizza oven would kill any nasties. Also been eating things like pepperoni that way too. Have to admit to eating the odd rare steak. I think I consoled myself that I had read somewhere if the outside was seared red-hot then that was ok. But don't quote me, maybe I dreamt that to allow me to indulge

ChessyEvans I plan to take mat leave as late as poss. BUT with my first I really couldn't manage passed 33 weeks. My job was stressful, and I was communting (not public transport) approx 55 miles a day. Second time I managed 35 weeks, but was very tired and achey. In an idea world, with a much less stressful job now, and no commute, I'm hoping to make it to 37 weeks, but I doubt I will get there. Hope this helps.
