Welcome to all the newcomers. It's very exciting too to see people starting to hit the 12 week mark and have their 12 week scans. Feels like it's that little bit closer for me even though I'm only 10 weeks. Time is dragging....

I have to say, even third time round i still have this fear that i'll get to the scan and find out it's all over. Not got a date yet for mine, only 10 weeks too, tried to chase it earlier this week but no call back from the MWs yet.

Zidonie, thanks. i have taken the odd paracetamol so far, but now i think of it, i used a thing called 4Head last pg, a stick you rub on your forehead, it worked then, must look for it in the chemists next time i'm there.

JoEW i'm so jealous that you sleep like you have been drugged, i can never get comfy and my leg or hips start to ache, hey ho!

Justkeepswimming I'm having really bad headaches too. Much sympathy . Feels like I'm taking paracetamol every other day at the moment, which can't be great. I'm putting it down to hormones and hoping it eases up second trimester when things level out a bit.

I went home 'sick' yesterday. DH went away yest at 5am til tomorrow eve, I then overslept. Was over an hour late for work. Burst into tears. Had pains in tum. (prob growing / stretching pains). Called MIL to see if i could go round there early as i have been packed off to them while DH away and burst into tears on the phone. My mum was in hosp having an op too. Was supposed to be working late last night too with my bitch of a boss. Glad i went home cos the girl that took over for me was here til midnight! Back in work today and taking it easy. Rant over...

MissWooWoo I'm really sorry to hear your news. Hope you're being well looked after and taking things easy.

Welcome to the latest new joiners. I had my nuchal scan today at 12+1 and everything was fine. A very low risk of downs (1:7000) which is reassuring. The baby was definately there - wriggling around and waving its arms. It's strange, but I actually felt quite sad for it in there all on it's own - sad that it would never know what it is to be a twin. Whenever I had scans with the girls they were always in one another's space - pushing hands and feet against one another's sacks and most scan pictures I have of them, there's usually a foot or hand of the other 'gatecrashing' the photo.

All in all it was a relief. I'd been torturing myself for the past week as I couldn't feel my uterus above my pubic bone. I mentioned to my husband during the scan how I'd been worrying and the sonographer said "let me see" and pushed against my tummy. Turns out the bit that I thought was part of my ridge of scar tissue above my section scar is actually my uterus so all those worries for nothing. I felt it so clearly when I was pregnant with the girls as obviously I didn't have the ridge of scar tissue so it's good to know that things are normal.

Seeing my consultant next week and then I guess I float along until 20 weeks. I'm still in all my pre-pregnancy clothes and nothing feels tight yet so it will be interesting to see when I will pop.

I didn't realise I was lucky to be sleeping like a teenager, thought it was all part of being pregnant. It's darn good, though I'm a bit dozy.

Had my midwife app yesterday - which seemed to mainly consist of handing me a lot of leaflets and talking very quickly. All quite surreal. I've been thinking about where I want to have the baby (I still haven't quite got my head around this) and I think I'm going straight in for hospital. Home is a complete NO WAY and I'm not bothered about birthing pools really. Something rather unappealing about sitting in a warm bath in a hospital with people coming to see you every now and again and look at your bits. Anyone else given this any thought?

Thanks for all the positivity and reassurance.

Today's scan went really well, little dude was flailing around all over the place, refusing to sit still to be measured. DH loved it!

Midwife checked thoroughly and couldn't see any reason for the bleeding. She didn't seem too worried by it, so that's reassured us. I checked my dates, and this week is when I would've had a period, so that could be it.

Little Dude measured up at 13+6, so my due date is now 25th of March - although I think I'd really rather stay in this group, if nobody minds!

Who knows when our little sprogs will choose to make their appearance. The actual birth dates will vary from March to May. Let's hope they all stay put until D Day. and nobody has to cope with an unexpected early extended stay in the hospital.

I'm still having occassional light bleeds but my Ob. said it all looked fine and the chance of MC now was very slight, i've spoken to a few women who said they bled throughout their PG so hope all will be well. Guess I won't be saving any money on panty liners for the next few months

How are everyone's cravings going, i'm currently favouring anything potato based, cheese oatcakes and cheese, ham and crisp sandwiches, accompanied by Smooth Tropicana. Yum. This is making my hungry I hope my jacket potato is ready soon

Excellent news petalouda - and how nice to have a little time shaved off the due date, I would love if I could be fasttracked by a week at my next scan .

Liv potatoes are my friend too at the moment. I just discovered the ability to microwave baked potatoes. Heaven! Hoping the urge to eat to supress the nausea calms down soon or I'm going to be huge!

Had my 12wk scan today and saw a very wriggly little baby. Have had dates moved forward (not had that happen before, normally get put back) to 31st March :-)

Liv77 I can't resist Sainbury's giant cookies, which I've renamed 'pregnancy crack' and those choc chip muffins that they do (which are about 400 calories a go), any other chocolate, tomato soup, mozarella and tomato pastries from Pret, Babybels, nectarines, apples, anything cheesy in fact, cinnamon and raisin bagels, and there's a hot smoked salmon salad that they have in M&S which I am nuts about although they've stopped doing it recently, meanies.

I don't even like chocolate, usually.

My cravings seem to be all about fish in batter (i.e. chip shop fish) or fish fingers.

Or strawberry ice cream / strawberry milkshake or just plain milk.

DD is nearly 3. Feeling very tired and sick (though not really throwing up thankfully). DP is being fabuloas - really stepping up & taking charge & letting me cruise a little bless him.
