Am finding work sooooo difficult now. I have a pretty busy job, the norm is for me to work a 10 hour day, hours commute each way, whole day is spent on feet, and very fixed commitments, which makes running out to go retch in the loo very difficult!! My job involves XRays, so all the radiographers are going to be told 'discreetly' tomorrow - whilst I'm apprehensive about people finding out before scan, aI'm also secretly glad as I may be able to turn to them for sympathy whilst no-one else knows.

It seems harsh doesn't it, that at the point where you feel so bloody awful and work is such a challenge, you have to keep it a secret!!

Hello, I'm new on this list. 8 weeks and a day today with my second. I had no nausea with my first, and was fine until yesterday, but am now understanding what morning sickness means! (and afternoon, and night...) I don't know how women cope who have it throughout! When I eat I am ok, for about half an hour, then I start feeling sick again. Nothing coming up, but the anticipation of something coming up is awful. Oh...sorry for the rant.

Also have a bad cold and a low grade fever today. Haven't even been to GP for booking in appointment. With my first, I was so eager to get to GP but was sent home and told to come back when I was 8 weeks, so haven't bothered yet with this one! Am going in on Friday. But desperate to know if it's twins, as I am very much showing already adn feeling so much more tiredness, hunger, and now nausea with this compared to with my first.

Glad to meet some other mums at the same stage.

Mrslionheart- I have also got nausea all day. It is so draining. I have to eat little and often otherwise I become really dizzy and feel like I am going to be sick.

Off for my 1st app. with midwife today. I believe I am 10.2 today and scan has been booked for the 16th. All v.exciting and scary.

Not feeling great at the moment but most of that is down to being so busy which makes me tired and makes the all day nausea 1000 times worse. Ds goes back to school tomorrow so will have all 3 out of the house for most of the day which will be nice!

Dd2 will be 1 in 12 days which is quite scary, so i have a party to organise and presents to wrap.

I have gained about 7lbs so far but all on my tummy so look as if i am 4/5mths rather than 10+1! April still seems so far away but at least i am over a quarter of the way there now :o Hoping to have a scan date through this week.

NitNat, how exciting that you have your scan through already. Hopefully as i am only a day behind you i should get mine this week. Still find it hard to believe that this time last year we were proper moaners about being pg and just wanting baby to come out etc etc and here we both are again LOL

Am now 10w+4, symptoms have dropped off and I'm hoping they've just naturally dropped and it's nothing serious after my couple of spotting days last week. Scan is the 16th i am preparing for the worst - just in case.

At least if it's bad news I can take consolation in my DS who I have just dropped off to pre-school for his first full day. Am feeling a little teary now i'm back home.

I work in london so thanks to the tube strikes i had to walk from liv st to the west end this morning. I used to walk alot but am being (overly) cautious at the moment. Feel ok but have to walk tonight too.

Hello Ladies, i'm due DC2 on DS's birthday (3 years apart)- 12 April. That was good timing! I'm amazed at how my body has just gone to looking like 5 months pregnant so early. I'm worried what size i'm going to be at the end :)

AprilMeadow- Are we mad?!!! lol. I did spend most of September last year moaning. She was 12 days late as well. I hope this little one isn't as late.

Actually, whilst we're on the subjects of scans after decided to ride it out til the official NHS scan I am having a bit of a freak out this afternoon and considering booking a private one. I'm even contemplating doing a pregnancy test!!! I just want some reassurance or to know asap that things aren't right. Aaaarrgggh. Anyone else post miscarriage feeling the same?

On the topic of scans, I got my booking appointment and 12 wk scan appointment through at the same time, a week after my GP sent off my referral. I almost fell off my chair at the efficiency! My booking appt is this week, so will be 8+3, and scan is when I'll be 12+3. I think it's so weird that it varies so much depending what area you live in. Nothing worse than just waiting around not knowing what's going on. Hope you get your dates through soon.

MissWooWoo, can your GP refer you to the early pregnancy unit for an early scan, even if you're not bleeding, considering your history of mc? Might be worth asking? I know some areas won't consider it but they do it at my EPU and my GP was really understanding when I requested one at 7wks.

I'm not post miscarriage and I'm feeling the same. I don't feel pregnant enough, and it's making me worry. First booking in appointment is 2 weeks away, no idea when first scan will be. First week after I got BFP I started getting mild symptoms but mostly I don't feel pregnant. I had been feeling occasionally nauseous but now don't at all. Was thinking of doing more tests, but then I read that you might still get a BFP for a missed miscarriage anyway so I'm not sure it would even put my mind at rest. Basically my biggest symptom of pregnancy so far is obsessive checking of MN and the slowness of time.

nah, I've already asked caramel with my first pregnancy I had an early scan at about 7 and half weeks due to an underlying medical condition but this time around, despite the fact that I still have underlying medical condition and have also had a mc I "do not fit the criteria" for an early scan (david cameron anyone?) . Ahh well, I'm now back to thinking I'll wait it out with the rest of you guys

I'm not going to do a pregnancy test either, I did a search on here an apparently the further along you are the less likely you are to get a strong line so don't want to shit myself up further.

I did another test a while back, before we told PIL/my parents, just to reassure me, the pg line came up straight away, before the wee even reached the control line :)

I can't see the MW until the 28th sept, when i'll be about 11weeks i think (they only do 1 clinic a week on Tues afternoons, grr) but the woman on the phone said the GP will have sorted the referral for a scan so waiting for that to arrive.

Am feeling ok-ish, have had some rough days but today has been good, and DS1 started school too :)

Well after posting that, I'm having a scan tomorrow as started bleeding today. Don't feel very positive to be honest. I stopped feeling sick, I feel a bit crampy and have just passed small clot (sorry if TMI). Feel very scared and
