Dd3 Beatrice (Bea) born yesterday night at 10.15pm, she is divine but TINY (6lb 8oz Shock).

The birth was completely amazing, in the pool, at home with dh and my best friend in attendance as well as three of the most lovely midwives. Bea didn't cry at all, she slithered into the water, I lifted her up, she looked at me and nuzzled onto my chest and went back to sleep Smile.

Will post details later.

Feeling tired but very happy and relaxed with a tiny graze and AGONISING after pains. Bea is already feeding very well.

Brilliant news Enid - and a lovely name too:)

Envious of how dinky she was - both mine were big bruisers - in more ways than one:)

Sounds a perfect birth experience to boot!

Good luck with the girl band - just don't hire Spooks ex as the managerGrin

I lurked to see if you've had it yet! Well done! We call my dd Bea too, but her full name isn't Beatrice.

Glad it went so well for you, esp after your concerns about home birthing!
Welcome little Bea!

I love the word slither. I want a waterbirth now I've read about yours! (Not a realistic desire now I'm pushing 50).

I hope you get the sleep you need and your dd's love their new sister.
