Glad you added Daisy - that is such a lovely name - having never had a daughter, girls names fascinate me

I always watch the beginning of Casualty and if the story is setting up around a child and especially a child riding a bike it gets turned off right away!!!

I keep looking at my pic of the twins and I cannot believe how blue Gareth is - it is very weird that the whole 7 months and 3 weeks he was with us I didn't notice his colouring. Putting the picture on has made me realise just how very lucky we were to have him with us for the short time we did...he must have been a real fighter.

oh sorry I missed the ttc part - I so understand the longing for a baby. I do also think that 'ce, sera sera - whatever will be, will be' used to spring to my mind when we were trying for DS3. Then having DS4 when I was almost 41 really made me think of those words. Try to be calm and try to relax - OMG those last few words are so crap and wont help you in any way. I dont know what to advise at all and I think I need to go and do some housework and try and think of a better way to say how I feel [DOH Homer Simpson emoticon]

Good luck Che, I was thinking of you this morning when I woke up. Lots of strength vibes are being sent your way

Lovely pics Shabs

LF - how about chasing the Consultant's referral? Maybe you doing something will help the feeling of being a bit powerless?

I can't watch any medical dramas anymore. When I used to watch them I didn't really understand what all of the acronyms were, but now I do and it brings it all flooding back.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/02/2010 13:00

Oh, and I also meant to mention that I've put some new pics of M on my profile.

shabbapinkfrog · 01/02/2010 13:24

OMG Moveit - that cant be your new baby that you had a couple of months ago, can it?

Hi Lunatic giving you a big hug.

Been under a cloud for a couple of weeks myself and not able to shake it off completely understand how easy it is to go from normal to sobbing puddle.

We have given dd3 a name already as dd1 was getting her mixed up with Niamh (saving it until she is here but from the look of your boy's list I think you will approve).

Sending you lots of baby making vibes.

I only found out I was having twins 10 days before they were born (at 38 weeks) it was 1981 and routine scans weren't carried out. Within the first day Gareth had been taken to the Childrens Hospital with Police motorbike escort. Before he was 2 days old we were told about his heart defects and warned that he may not make it through the first few days. He was in hospital for 2 weeks and when he came home he weighed just 3lbs 15ounces (was 4lbs 1ounce at birth).

Sadly 1 week before his 8 month birthday he woke up early and I couldn't stop him crying. Eventually he snuggled down in between me and DH in bed. We put our arms around him and dozed off for another 10 minutes. When we woke up he had died.

I chose the name Daniel and DH chose the name Gareth to please his Dad - who was a proud Welsh boyo originally from Bedwelty, Wales. xxxx

Hi everyone and thank you so much for thinkin of us today.

It was fine.

There was a young man waiting for his scan who was obviously struggling. He was an adult so I am assuming he was back for some sort of long term follow up. He was beginning to lose it a bit and was explaining to the staff that he found it very hard to be there due to having spent so much time in hosptial as a child.

I wanted so much to go up to him and tell him I knew how he felt and not to be ashamed of how he felt.

Course I didnt cos I couldnt leave DS. But I reall wanted to.

TW hope results were ok x

Lunatic I know you are worried about your age and ttc. I was too but managed to get pg with DS3 at 39 and am awaiting birth of DC5 at the grand old age of 42! So it is possible

I am off to look at Shabs pics.

Daisy was the other name we had for Billie

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 01/02/2010 18:19

Glad you made it through Che, well done you.

Yes Shabs, that is the baby I only had the other month! He's 17mo in the next week!

Hope all is ok with you TW.

hazygirl · 01/02/2010 18:23

travellingwilbury · 01/02/2010 18:26
