A few months ago I posted about a very close friend of mine whose nephew died at 2 years in a duckpond on a caravan site.

The family have now organised a petition to campaign for safer public water attractions. They'd be very grateful if you could sign the petition \link{http://www.matthewmarsden.co.uk\here}

Its dreadfully sad. The music on the website made me cry.

But where do we stop with these laws. In the end they will fence off the sea or something! Also having worked in Health and Safety overseas very often such barriers are just an 'invitation' to climb to children.

Its such a tricky topic because everyone one wants their kids to be safe but we can't wrap them up in cotton wool. How do they learn about danger then?

Just adding a bit from reading your messages! The background music on Matthew’s web site is Will Young and Matthew knew all the words to it. We carried his little coffin out of the Chapel to this song. It was like he chose it himself!
