I know we mentioned having a "chat" thread as well, do you still fancy one or not ? I'd like to be on the original thread as well.

Oh well my levels must have been really low today -Sorry TMI alert!
I've just started to bleed. At least I found out that I was going to miscarry first so that it wasn't a shock, especially as DH is on nights tonight (couldn't get out of it even though he wants to be here). He's on nights all weekend so I might go to Mum and Dads. didn't feel right to tell my mum over the phone (hadn't told her I was pg yet)

lynnec · 17/02/2007 14:27

Jossie, you poor thing!! I havent stopped thinking about you xxx Went to check in last night and the bloody pc wouldnt work(or the internet)this is so awful what you and dh are having to go through, i know what you mean with the decision of can you go through this again, try wait a few weeks till your head is a bit clearer and then make that decision.xxx Thats just typical with dh shifts, isnt it??? Its always the same with us too.Hope you got to your mum and dads for a wee break, you desereve it!

lynnec · 17/02/2007 14:31

Edie, good luck with the scan x Thats good the ms is going, with me i now have terrible heatburn, although gp said that was very early to have heartburn
She also said baby was very high up and big
Now im wondering or more worrying as to how big this baby will be (with the height of dh)
Or am i really due in july??????LOL

EdieMcredie · 20/02/2007 07:40

Josie saw that you have been posting in the hut. It's strange what you said about your boys and their comments about the babies!! I think they know more than we give them credit for

Im so sorry you are going through this again, it must be very very hard. Im guessing it's also not so easy being on here while both me and Lynne are pg...feel free to take a break if you need to but we are both here if you need to talk.

I had a scan yesterday and it was fine but that's all ill say on here for now and leave the details for my ante natal thread. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hope you are ok Lynne xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jossiejump · 20/02/2007 14:39

I don't have a problem with you two, don't worry. It is easier in a way, because I know that this egg, although fertilised, would never have turned into a baby. The last two I know were babies / foetus, and my body (probably through the clotting problem) did something to them-this time that hasn't happened. I know that DH is worrying that I'm coping too well attm. I'm not, but this time, instead of making myself really busy,I'm cancelling things to gove me space, hopefully that will help me to cope better. Ironically, having been through torture about it all last week, in a way it was a relief to know what was going to happen.

Jossiejump · 20/02/2007 14:48

I meant to say that I'm really glad that everything went well at the scan-I'm also really pleased to hear from you as being the most paranoid person on this planet I thought you were avoiding this post due to not being sure what to say / in case I'm a jinx

EdieMcredie · 20/02/2007 22:07

Don't be silly!! Ive not been able to get on much as been working or very tired. I don't want to go on about pg symptoms to you although I know you feel ok about it.

Are you working or have you taken some time off? XX

Jossiejump · 21/02/2007 20:30

Hiya
Not doing too bad, although I think part of me is ignoring that I was pg in the first place.
Last week was half term, so I was off, I cancelled all my extra supply work this week, but am going in tomorrow to my normal school-they know what has happened and co-incidntally I'm only in class tomorrow afternoon and I'm at a conference on Friday, so it won't be too tough a week.

EdieMcredie · 22/02/2007 11:01

That's good. Have you had any thoughts about ttc in the future? How are you feeling physically?? xxxxxxxxxxx

lynnec · 22/02/2007 18:15

Jossie, i think edie is right, after writing my message the other day, i lay in bed thinking how inconsiderate id been, and also chatted with dh about how id writing about my pg with all that you are going through just now, i do apologise for being very silly! I hope you and dh are ok, i wont say well as thats just not possible right now, as we all very well know
x
I wasnt aware edie was on another thread as well as this one, so in future will pop in there if i have anything i need to talk to her about with the pg, please dont think we're ignoring you, or leaving you out, with all that you are goin through right now, i think thats the last thing you want to hear from us two.

Ive been ok, quite sick today, so hoping ive not got some bug.

Im thinking of you and hope things get better soon xxx

Edie, i hope you are keeping well too! x

EdieMcredie · 23/02/2007 20:58

Yes Lynne I like my due in sep thread but also pg after mc which you may find helpful. I agree that it's not to leave you out and we will still come on here as much as we do now but it's just that if I were you I could do without hearing it. Let us know if you disagree though.

Lynne-could it just be normal pg sickness or is it particularly bad?

Josie-hope you are ok. Hope to hear from you soon love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jossiejump · 23/02/2007 21:20

Don't worry-you can still talk on here-I'm ok about everything this time as I know it wasn't meant to be. Would still like to talk and hear about how you're both doing

lynnec · 23/02/2007 23:08

It was good to hear from you both again, ive been kept going around the house recently and we bought a new car the other day, so we've been out for drives, which is brilliant, we bought a mazda 5 sport, its really nice, its a seven seater with tinted windows and sliding doors, so we're chuffed to bits with it.

What have you both been up to???
Ms seems to have been a one off (i hope) its seems to be when i eat chocolate im sick all that day!!! Ive not been able to eat it for months now, but just thought id have a bar to see what it was like and now i know!!!!! So, wont be eating that again in a hurry.

Its really weird, ive not been able to drink tea either the last couple of months, did you have that with any pg Jossie??? Not sure if your too early on edie for that.

Do you'se have any plans for the weekend????
Mines is quiet, dh away out for the night, his friend is imigrating to canada next week, so this is his leaving doo.Bet hes ill in bed all day tomorrow!!!

Well i hope you are both well and catch up with you both soon. x

EdieMcredie · 24/02/2007 14:59

Lynne Im 11.3 now and haven't been able to touch tea ever since about 5 weeks. Just don't like the thought of it-yuck. How strange!!

about your car!!

Nice to hear from you Josie, up to anything this weekend?

Jossiejump · 24/02/2007 19:11

In my 2 successful pgs I went off coffee really early on-but due to my addiction to it, had to force myself to drink a cup of Mc Donalds coffee ( as it is strong), for a few weeks, to stop me getting withdrawal headaches, both times I said that I would keep to decaf after I had the baby, but failed both times!

lynnec · 24/02/2007 20:29

Im not really a coffee drinker, mostly tea, but not alot of it 1 or 2 cups a day, but loved to have my cup of tea and choc biscuit after my dinner at nights, i miss not having them now, and today took a wee notion for a snicker bar and i suffered all day after i ate it, i just miss not having a wee bit chocolate how long is like this jossie??? I dont remember ever having this with ds, mind you it was 13 years ago!!!!

Jossiejump · 24/02/2007 22:05

After about week 6 I didn't drink coffee the whole time I was pg, even the smell of it made we want to heave, DH is a great coffee drinker, I had to make him have adrink of water / clean his teeth before he could sit beside me, let alone kiss me!
Both times I also couldn't stand the smell of my fridge (which no-one else could smell) or the smell of a particular cupboard at work!
1st time round went off onions and spicy food, 2nd time like spicy food, but went off milk. Remember a time with each when all I could eat was the shop made shepherds pies (very unhealthy)

Jossiejump · 24/02/2007 22:05

Have to say that with the pg 2 weeks ago I also went off coffee instantly and could smell a strange smell in my (different) fridge!

lynnec · 25/02/2007 15:49

It so weird, isnt it???? First time around i just wanted to eat skittles...didnt really go off anything, this time i cant drink tea, coffee or eat sweets or chocolate, which i suppose is a good thing, unless i cant resisit them and then find myself ill the rest of the day!!!! I have found this pg alot easier, hardly any ms, they say thats down to all the healthy eating i did at the beginning of pg, although i have heard the second time round is easier...does that go for the the birth also???? Did you find the second birth easier Jossie??? Although i must admit i was only in labour a few hours with ds, dont think it comes any easier, ive also heard second baby is usually bigger, did you find this????

I hope you are both having a nice weekend, ive just been out doing some gardening, its a lovely day up here.

Jossiejump · 25/02/2007 19:16

I'm afraid my labour stories aren't what you want to hear-
With DS1 I had a really easy pg, went into labour 2 weeks early, had a 22 hour labour, they discovered that I was group b strep part way through and I finished the event with a quite severe post partum haemhorrage!
2nd time round, my waters leaked at 39 weeks, so as I was group b strep I had to be induced by drip, labour was 12 hours, but I didn't handle it as well as the first time, was hooked up to a drip to stop the pph and to help prevent strep probs, only lost 1pt of blood that time and had a good after birth experience of cuddling and bf DS2 immediately, whereas with DS1 because it all kicked off with me I didn't really get a chance to see or hold him for an hour or more whilst they sorted me out!
Sorry not really what you want to hear, but lets be honest - I want to have another one so what does that say.
Been feeling really broody today, think it was seeing that baby in the papers that was born at 22 weeks!

lynnec · 25/02/2007 19:40

Know what you mean Jossie, i keep telling myself my gran had 13 so it cant be that bad!! That must have been frightening for you!!!With ds he was 2 weeks late, they had to induce me on the friday about mid-day,iwas told to go home and they would see me about midnight when i was in labour, i was terrified as it was the only day knowone could make it to the hospital with me, and i had to travel by bus, i was sh*ting myself, incase i went into labour on the bus LOL didnt go into labour until early hours of sat morning(5-6am)walked around the garden for a few hours (heavy breathing) LOL and walking up and down the stairs, about 7.30 i decided i'd better get to the hospital where they told me i'd at least another 12 hours to go or more, they asked me if i wanted to go home, i said no, as the contractions were every 2 mins or less, had a bath etc then at 2.15 the contractions were more often, nurse checked me out and said "oh, think you better start pushing, babies head is ready to come out he was born at 2.30, dont think it will be that easy this time around though!!!! (I WISH)

lynnec · 25/02/2007 22:05

Jossie have you any experience of using re-usable nappies??? Have been searching on the internet this evening for hours, god theres so many different types!!!!

Jossiejump · 25/02/2007 22:46

No I wasn't brave enough to use re-useable (or too lazy!)
You sound just like my friend, she didn't tell her husband how far she had progressed until she felt the need to push-then they went to the hospital, the midwife told her to pop up onto the bed so that they could examine her, was rather startled and said "I can see the head!"

EdieMcredie · 26/02/2007 09:39

I can't wait to give birth

Jossiejump · 26/02/2007 11:03

Sorry Edie-but at least everyone is different!
Another friend of mine has silent labours-which mean that she doesn't get any pains at all and another nearly gave birth in a restaurant because she was so quick, her husband delivered the baby at home!
Think of the end goal!!
