Pippa passed away in the early hours of this morning after a viral infection led to blood poisoning, she was 3 years old. Her and her big brother were so excited as 10 days ago I had a baby. I am so utterly lost and heartbroken.

So sad for you all x sending all love

TidyDancer · 10/04/2014 23:13

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl. Words are not enough, but I do hope they bring you some comfort and strength. Thinking of you and your family. x

Midgetm · 10/04/2014 23:22

Words seem so clumsy but I could not read and ignore. From one mother to another - I can just about begin to imagine the pain your family is in. I wish that the collective will of Mumsnet could take it all away. Of course we can't, but we would if we could. I hope you have all the support you need in RL. And if you don't, I hope you find comfort from some of the wise women on here who know exactly what you are going through. Life can be so unfair. Sending your family a cyber hug from a weirdo on the interweb.

So very sorry. How utterly heartbreaking. She sounds like an amazing little girl. Thanks

PacificDogwood · 10/04/2014 23:26

I am so, so sorry for you dreadful loss.
How very cruel that you and your family have to deal with this, and at a time when you are also welcoming a new child in to the family.
Pippa looks like such a personality in the photo you posted and I can only begin to imagine the hole she is leaving behind.
Much love and strength to you and everybody who loves Pippa.

I'm so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine your pain. There are no words that will ease it, I'm sure; but I wish you strength and love to try to help you pull through each day. Life can be so incredibly cruel. I sincerely hope that your grief will lessen in time, so that you may remember her fondly, without too much pain. So much love to you and your family xxxx

That photo has brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful, happy little girl. I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling. 'Sorry' seems so inadequate. Thanks

ThisLittlePiggie · 11/04/2014 09:53

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 11/04/2014 09:58

She's beautiful. I am thinking of you and hope you are getting support. You are surrounded by a circle of mums who don't know you, but are reaching out to you in your pain, wishing we could take it all away and bring your lovely Pippa back.

FrontForward · 11/04/2014 10:02

What a beautiful cheeky girl

Thouneedsbedamned · 11/04/2014 10:11

There is so much happiness in that gorgeous little face.
That is the look of someone who knows they are loved to the moon and back.

VanGogh · 11/04/2014 10:32

"I am so so sorry" feels so clumsy and indelicate.

Please don't see this as religious or pious, just warm and loving. Other's words feel more appropriate.

"I'll lend you for a while a child of mine," He said.
"For you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief,
You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief."

"I cannot promise she will stay; since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over in My search for teachers true
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have chosen you.
Now will you give her all your love, not think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call to take her back again?"

OwlCapone · 11/04/2014 10:35

Sorry is somehow inadequate. :(

We are all here to support you when you need us.

Thinking of you with love. Xxx

Mouseface · 11/04/2014 17:26

Hello darling.

We're thinking of you all again today sweetheart. I know that you are still so very lost and confused in the fog that grief brings to you, your heart must be so extremely heavy, it must feel like a boulder, pushing down in your chest....all of your emotions whirling around your mind, crying and then not, then feeling guilty for not crying. You can't win...

I keep replaying the words you spoke during your phone call in my mind, so how you are feeling is unimaginable. Even with our own losses.

We love you all so very much. Talk to you soon xxx
