My beautiful daughter has gone

Pippa passed away in the early hours of this morning after a viral infection led to blood poisoning, she was 3 years old. Her and her big brother were so excited as 10 days ago I had a baby. I am so utterly lost and heartbroken.

CathPip you sound like an amazing mum. What a lucky girl Pips is to have you. I love her picture; her cheeky cheeks and that smile. Hugs to all of you Flowers

3 years, 3 long years i cant believe it, it still feels like yesterday. Lynne came down from Yorkshire with the family, Jess was your best friend although she was 6 years older than you, we had a lovely day at longleat safari park with your brothers. I have come to realise that my heart will never mend, i just put up with the pain now its just a permanant part of me. Your brothers are growing so fast Aubrey is now a red belt in judo, Elliott is not quite as disastrous as he was and Henry is now talking, we moved into our new house just before xmas and sadly the divorce has been finalised. We have all settled very well back into my old life in my home town and its so nice being so close to all your aunts and uncles, but its hard without you. I love you so much moomin. Xx

Pips, mummy's back but with a new name. The divorce is nearly done, your brothers and I will be joining you in Wiltshire in 4 weeks, I took you and Sheepy down last week and grandpa is looking after you :). Daddy has realised far to late that he has made the biggest mistake of his life but the damage has been done now, Aubrey is looking forward to starting his new school, Elliott is a disaster and Henry is very naughty and nearly walking and looks so much like you, blue eyes and white blond hair. All your aunts and uncles are so happy that we are all coming home and to be honest so am I, I have been gone to long. I love you so much my darling girl and miss you every day, the sorrow never leaves me, but I also don't want it too. Xxxx

cathpip we lost our beloved seven year old daughter at the beginning of last April. I wanted to reach out and hold your hand. As time goes by the shock fades but the sadness deepens as we truly appreciate all that might have been. Take care of yourself and your beautiful children x

So very sorry just read the thread too X

Also, the thread reminded me of what devastation the death of a child can cause within families, often for generations. You are being so strong to ensure this doesn't happen, your husband seems to have sunk with despair. It's such a cruel thing to have happened to you.
