Think its also because its a birthday ending in '0' if that makes any sense. Keep wondering what he would look like now, what he would be doing, if he would be married or have children. Knowing Matt and his love of girls he would have a houseful of children - wonder if there would be any grand-daughters amongst them? xx

......am also avoiding going through the lads facebook pictures because him and Matt got on well at primary school and I know, without a doubt, that he will have birthday party pics on and Matts grin will be on them.

Sorry I've been away from MN for a while. I've had a lot to deal with. Paddy's headstone dedication and memorial, his birthday, St Paddy's Day. It never stops. I just felt like being quiet. I'm going back to France today for a week of jobs and errands and will have to see people I don't particularly like. I try and avoid them but sometimes it's just not possible is it. It's hard going back there because that's the last place I saw him before he came back to the UK for a quick break and he died. Everywhere around the house and land reminds me of him and it hurts so much. Even looking at photos is hard. I'm still waiting for being able to look at pictures without feeling utterly torn into pieces.
I'll be back soon to you all. Hang in there.

Lily, I'm with you in spirit. Don't hesitate to make it known to people you want to be alone. I had little patience before DD passed but even less after. I'm always courteous but don't engage in trivial conversations. Don't feel you have to if you don't want to. I figured this was a tough time for you. As always look after yourself and see you back on MN when you are ready. Take care.

Just thought I'd say I miss my DD so much today. It's just another standard day but sometimes the emotion and feelings just come over you in a wave.

Hey Shabbs. Hope all is good for everyone out there.

I've just tried some herbal essence to see if it will help me sleep. I've found since the start if the year I've had real trouble dropping off to sleep. It's all the thoughts you just can't avoid. I'm trying not to be reliant on drugs to get me off to sleep so have gone from my Valium to melatonin and now this. I hope it works.

Well the herbal essence didn't work so I'm off to take a tablet. 4 hours later and I'm sick of looking at the ceiling!

Hope you are all managing 'ok'.

I haven't commented much but have read your posts and been thinking of you all.

Very low at the mo due to a few things happening (don't want to go into detail as will out me in real life as have friends on here) but needless to say dragging myself through and missing my baby desperately.

Trying to appreciate the small beauties in life, precious moments with my children, the sunshine, the spring flowers.
