Morning all, been for a walk this morning and spotted some of our special daffodils we planted in the woods in gregor's memory peeking through the leaves... made me smile. DS1 really upset going into school again today ARRRGGGHHH!!

shabbapinkfrog · 14/02/2011 22:05

PPM - I noticed some of my pots were starting to sprout!!! My forget-me-nots are already coming through. Hope we have a long hot Summer. Nothing better than some sunshine to put a smile on peoples faces. xx

Morning all x

ppm , mine are nearly in flower now and as soon as I saw them coming up I thought of you and Gregor x

How is everyone this morning ?
Wet and grim here .

peterpansmum · 15/02/2011 12:14

Awww TW that's really lovely Smile xx Shows the difference between north and south as mine are only just tiny green shoots peeking through the very cold ground - my snowdrops only just started flowering last week!!! Is it you or your weather that is wet and grim? Grin xx

Had a slightly better morning today - DS1 back to being ok going into school again.... schools here off wed, thurs, fri for midterm/inservice. How is everyone else doing? x

frasersmummy · 15/02/2011 13:35

I have Ross's pal round for the day as I am off for half term and his mum is not

She keeps texting me and saying are you sure he is behaving- thank you for doing this...

its actually easier than dealing with Ross on his oown.. they are charging about playing cops and robbers and giggling and I can be on here and reading my book..... now should I tell her this or say ooh it was sooo hard you owe me big time Grin

shabbapinkfrog · 15/02/2011 13:44

Just had a massive tidy up!! Went into my airing cupboard. There on the floor was Mattys school bag. I tried very hard to not peep inside it. It must be 18 months since I last did. Oooohhhhh it was a bad idea. It had his tiny tshirt he had worn when he walked a mile (along with Danny) to raise money for our local Childrens hospital, his last very small school sweatshirt and his Beavers sweatshirt. I had forgotten just how tiny he was. His smell has gone from them after all these years. I buried my face in them and sobbed. Cue for Lewis to say 'Whats wrong Andma? Pwease dont cry!'

I folded them up so carefully - why?? Put them back in the bag and carried on with my day.

Oh my god boys - I miss you xx

lavandes · 15/02/2011 14:05

shabs let me give you a hug xx

Our daffodils are up and some are about to flower. The camelia outside my kitchen window won't be long either. It is huge, my husband's gran gave us a cutting when we moved in 37 years ago. I always think of her when it flowers. Lets hope that Spring will soon be here. xx

It will be our wedding anniversary in a few weeks. We spent the last 3 with Richard who cooked a special meal for us. All these 'firsts' are so difficult.

Hello everyone. I had a good day yesterday in that for only the 3rd time since we lost the girls I didn't actually cry. I never used to be the crying type. Things are more difficult today and lots of random memories from around it all keeping popping into my head rather intrusively - makes it pretty difficult to concentrate at work!

Shabba - I can empathise about the clothes. I was tidying their memory boxes recently and found a hat that R had worn - I didn't know we had it. I really wanted it to smell of something, anything, but it didn't.

peterpansmum · 15/02/2011 15:04

Shabs come here and let me give you a HUGE SQUISHY HUGGGGGG xxxxx

shabbapinkfrog · 15/02/2011 15:22

Oh thank you that feels better Smile

Just been thinking!! Always dangerous. My DGS, Lew, is as bright as a button. I have shown him Uncle Matty and Uncle Gareths pictures and he often says he is playing with them - their favourite game is hide and seek!!! BUT he has never, ever said 'Where are they?'

Last night he walked to the car with his daddy. He pulled free from Danny and went to run into the road. I grabbed his hood and pulled him back and I shouted 'Dont you ever go on the road without holding Mummy or Daddys hand, I dont want you to get knocked down like.....like........ and the words would not come out.

He is a real drama queen and asks constant questions. I cant face his questions just yet. He asks the same things over and over again. Also know it will really upset him.

Told you it was dangerous to think!!!

CazandBelle · 15/02/2011 15:32

Shab lots of love to you. Your boys just sound so remarkable every time we hear more about them, to have done a walk for such an important cause at that young age is just something.

We're mid point in our cycle again. The clearblue fertility monitor has said peak fertility yesterday and today and needless to say we've been trying very hard ;) Hoping, hoping.

shabbapinkfrog · 15/02/2011 15:39

Thank you Caz - I am a very lucky Mum and Gran xx

Really hope things work out for you - and quickly!!!

shabbapinkfrog · 15/02/2011 15:40

Matty was 6 when he did the mile walk and Danny was 8. Ive still got their medals and tshirts that they were given Smile

lavandes · 15/02/2011 16:15

shabs you are right to be so proud of your boys a mile is a long way for small boys to walk.Smile

Fingers crossed caz xx

My grandchildren are coming for a few days next week, something to look forward to.
