Sounds perfect fm Grin

Caz You did so well to go to the funeral and please don't feel guilty , I still can't go to a funeral without it mostly being about Harry .

Shabs how you doing today ? I hope you are sleeping a wee bit better x

Ilike nice to see you around but sorry you are having such a tough and busy time of it .

travellingwilbury · 03/02/2011 10:23

Shelley how did your db and sil get on yesterday ? Fingers crossed you all got some good news x

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/02/2011 18:17

Hi TW, and thanks for the kind words. I should come here more often as it's such a comfortable and familiar place to be Smile

Hope you're getting FM, tonsillitus used to really knock me for six - until I had them out Grin

shelleylou · 03/02/2011 23:18

Caz you were really brave to go to the funeral.

TW unfortunately we didn't have good news. SIL got told today that she had, had an MC... shes distraught but trying so hard to put a brave face on it. DB seams ok but he will try and keep it from anyone. Im gutted for them i know how much they wanted this baby. Brought back a few memories for me but i was always going to struggle this month anyway. My little dove would have been due at the end of it. One of my best friends EDD is tomorrow so waiting to hear about that.. shes been quite all day so not sure if she's had her daughter. So I'll be an honorary Auntie Smile

kazmus · 04/02/2011 08:45

morning ladies, just heard from Sians best friend and she wants to come and stay for the weekend so she can visit the grave on Sians birthday. While I will love to see her I'm a bit worried how I'll cope having to be a host when I actually feel like shit myself with it being the first birthday without her . Just want to crawl into a dark place and sleep the next week away.Probably be better having young ones around, but I just want itto be my girlies not somebody elses. Oh dear I sond such a selfish cow, her friend loved her very much and is driving over 200 miles to be with her. Why do I feel such a rat? :(

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 09:11

I would be the same kazmus is there noone else she could stay with and maybe just come and visit you instead ?
I am sure she will not be expecting you to be the hostess with the mostess but it is an added pressure you don't need .
It is lovely that she wants to be there but is there anyway that either you or someone else could speak to her and let her know how hard you will find it ?

kazmus · 04/02/2011 11:19

not really anyone else she could stay with as they met at uni so she doesnt know anyone else in this area. I'm sure it will be fine but just wanted to use good old mumsnet to get it off my chest! Have just started back doing a bit of music again in local schools and had to play happy birthday to a little one in assembly...just as well can play it with eyes shut as wouldnt have been able to see the music through the tears, and spent rest of assembly hiding behind the piano while I tried to pull myself together!Oh dear not a good start to the weekend.:(

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 11:24

I think that is an amazing start to the weekend . Who would have imagined you would have even been capable of doing that eyes closed or otherwise ? Well done you , all those firsts are so hard .

I am sure it will go ok with Sians friend and you might find it helps having someone else there and the most precious thing of all , someone who has got new memories of your daughter to share with you x

kazmus · 04/02/2011 11:36

you're right and you have given me a good idea to keep me occupied today, I'm going to sort out all the old photos of her past birthdays so that we can look at them together and she can tell me about the ones they had together at Uni...well the censored versions anyway! Thanks for giving me that idea xx

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 11:42

That sounds like a lovely idea , and uni birthdays could be very interesting to hear Grin

I would buy more wine .

kazmus · 04/02/2011 13:10

oh yes lots of rose her favourite! And galaxy chocolate and SATC!!

shelleylou · 04/02/2011 16:35

Im starting to hate 2011 already

shabbapinkfrog · 04/02/2011 17:31

Toms 3 best friends have come to ours tonight....his mate Jack and 2 kids from Year 11. They are all in the kitchen playing on the Wii and there are screams of laughter drifting in the living room its the first time they have all come here and Tom has a massive grin on his face. Lovely kids who proudly call themselves 'The Geek club.' The eldest boy - almost 16 years old just said to me 'The Geeks will inherit the earth!!'

Im glad he has found a little 'niche' to fit into. Its just like the old days when our Danny used to have a house full of school pals.

Lovely feeling in my house tonight xxx

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 17:56

Shabs that sounds fab . I love having a house full of boys , as long as I have got wine ready fr when they leave Grin

kazmus · 04/02/2011 18:00

Wine seems to figure a lot in your posts....and why not :)

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 18:16

You are quite right about wine being a feature Kazmus . It has been my way of self medicating since Harry died , thankfully it is mostly just for relaxing now.

peterpansmum · 04/02/2011 19:50

Did someone mention wine?????!!!!! Ohhhh I could really do with a bottle glass!! Have been off it for nearly a month now and generally feel lots better in myself but there is something about a friday night that says 'red wine time' to me Grin . Have loads going on just now.

Hey Kazmus from my experience having anyone else to stay around the time of gregor's birthday would be too difficult - stick with your instincts - do you think there's any way it may help you get through the day? If you don't think it feels right (for whatever reason) then ask her to come another time x

Hiya everyone else xxxx

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 20:21

ppm there you go Wine

peterpansmum · 04/02/2011 20:45

hey how the hell did you do that?! it's even red Guess that's the closest i can expect to get to wine this evening!! If i said I'd like a large slice of chocolate cake to go with the wine could you produce one of those too??! xxx

travellingwilbury · 04/02/2011 20:53

Now that could be a plan !

But no I am unable to do the Cake thing

lavandes · 04/02/2011 21:20

Just working my way through third glass of red - delicious!!!!!!!! xx
