I was out shopping today with mil, we bougth a beautiful cherry blossom tree for my garden as a memorial for Zoe.

The baby aisle/mothercare is very hard when you don't have the baby.i hope you get there caz - you and your little second heartbeat.

innumerable things feel difficult at the moment - particularly anything to do with the hospital. just anything that reminds me of it hurts.

DD has been sad sometimes but rather bored and lonely. she asked to put our 7 monther on the push-and-ride with her. not yet!

funeral sorted for weds. will be dressed in colours, with paper flwers from nursery, with music from in the night garden. hopefully i can make my peace with the Pinky-ponk (have been crying when it comes on) - feel very bad about reading DS stories to keep him quiet whilst he was (as it turned out) dying.

sad to see such a long list of children to remember - it really shouldn't happen. children shouldn't die.

Sorry to hear about your mum Shabs. I hope they get to the bottom of the anaemia. I can imagine how hard it is going back to the hospital. Those bloody places still send a shiver through me.

I'll be thinking of you all on Weds Edgar, what you have planned sounds lovely.

DS and I saw ITNG for the first time when he was in hospital and when he went into PICU we bought him an Iggle Piggle that plays the theme tune and some of Iggle Piggle's noises. For a long time after his death I could not bare the sound of the theme tune and if I accidently heard it I would crumble. Three years on we still have his Iggle Piggle in our bed with us and I can watch ITNG with ds2 without wanting to throw up, but the programme will forever remind me of C, and for that I am glad. I can't say I was at the time because it was so bloody painful, but now I am. I sincerely hope it will be for you too.

How are YOU doing Edgar? You never mention yourself. I know you're saying you are 'ok' and 'alright' to people in rl, but you don't have to here if you don't want to.

Shabs How is your mum doing today ? Hospitals are so hard to go into especially when it is so close to home . I know I struggled when my brother was in and it wasn't even the same place x

Edgar ITNG does sound like a lovely thing to do but if you really think it will be too much then don't feel you have to . But to be honest they coould play the theme tune to Cagney and Lacey and it will probably have much thesame effect . Wednesday is going to be so hard for you all but it will also have its most gorgeous moments . Hold onto them xx

shabs hope you are coping and that your mum will soon be back to normal. When I retire I think I may take some time to go to the nursing home my mum was in and spend time just chatting to the old folks. I know they like just chatting and reminiscing. I think old people are so interesting. My mum had such a lovely story to tell about when she moved from Yorkshire to Cornwall, it was probably worse 57 years ago than our son moving to Australia now, considering there was not the same means of communcation as there are now, she was almost completely cut off from her close family. I miss her so much now, she would have looked after me and known what to say to me, and not got it wrong. I understand completely when you say that your parents are 'your rock'. When we were told that Richard had died my first thought was 'I want my mum' and |I was 58. I still want her, but she is probably busy looking after my dad and Richard xx

Could someone please add our Richard to the list - remember day 18th April, 2010, funeral 28th April 2010 and birthday 8th August 1975. I have no idea how to do this. I have thought long and hard about this and would like him to be added. Thanks xx

can't remember if I posted my blog link here or not but here it is anyhow... my blog ...let me know what you think. Am going to b blogging throughout my two month's work with the scottish cot death trust.. I thought I'd struggle to think of things to say but once I got started I thought of plenty xx

the befriender training day was so useful in many ways but really was a two day course zipped into one day.
