she is 2.2 (in a few days).

She said it clearly, over and over, all syllables, with no baby mispronunciation.

How sad am I? I was soooooooooooo proud [proud mummy emoticon]

Come on, rub my PFB ego please?!!!!

DontNeedAnything · 28/08/2008 22:04

Well my 2.4 DD says "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"

rubs PFB nose in mud

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/08/2008 22:04

No rubbing from me I'm afraid - dd was saying it much earlier than that, accompanied by me waving my arms around above my head and going 'woo woo' to distinguish one from a plane that has wide open arms and goes rrrrrrrrrrrrr!

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:06

She is not a genuis!

OP posts:
PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:07

I mean, of course its not the only word she can say. That would be a bit unusual wouldn't it?!!!

"What was your baby's first word?"
'helicopter'
"oh really?"

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/08/2008 22:08

Well, she still may be a genius, but not for this fact alone .

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:09

!
i was very impressed!!!

Aww, that is so sweet. DS1 23mths just brought me a "capitiller" the other day. Just too cute to correct.!

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:30

LittlePushka - thats so sweet. I do like it when she gets things a little wrong, although I correct them, sometimes I have to force myself to repeat it the right way not the wrong way!

She say crododillie for crocodile, and chilly bang for chitty chitty bang bang, and pasta cake for patter cake!

She also says 'cock' for clock !

OP posts:
PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:31

...although I am hoping that now she can say a word with the 'l' pronounced correctly she will say clock correctly ! Seeing as it was the 'l' she had trouble with!

OP posts:
Thomcat · 28/08/2008 22:33

Bless.

My DD2 who is same age as yours only lent DD1 her toy today on the basis that it was "probably" ! She repeated it over and over in a very serious fashion before handing it over saying one final 'probably'!

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:34

Thomcat - lovely eh?

DS spoke very little until a couple of months ago (now 2.8) but can now says "sainsbree" and "Maka Pence" (marks and SPencer).

Which is particularly amusing as I shop in Aldi Haven't corrected him about that though!

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 22:40

LOL at mini kewcumber!!!
waswondering - she sounds adorable.

I look after a 2.8 year old and when she needs the toilet she always says " i did a pee" instead of "i NEED a pee" .
Have to admit the first time she said it i though she had actually done a pee.
No matter how many time you correct her she always says "did" next time.

LittlePushka · 28/08/2008 22:54

Oh how adorable all your LO's!!

DS1 also says "buller dollar" for bulldozer, and he cannot get his teeth around what to cal his Aunt Alison - so she gets "Aunty Nice" ! Priceless

More cutisms please!

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 23:05

Baby pavlov says 'gimdrum' for children.
She says 'mines' instead of 'mine'
And she says '10 minutes please?' with both hands up and fingers splayed whenever we walk past waterstones!

OP posts:
LittlePushka · 28/08/2008 23:16

Oh she sounds gorgeous! DS1 says "Not dog, mammy pump" when I (rarely, of course) try to blame the dog...

PavlovtheCat · 28/08/2008 23:19

LOL Littlepushka! DD blames DH, even if it me, she says 'scu me daddy'!!!

OP posts:
LittlePushka · 28/08/2008 23:32

Sadly DS runs away and puts a cushion on his head when DH lets rips - so I suppose I oughtto be grateful!

LittlePushka · 28/08/2008 23:33

...we are not really a horridly gross family, honest!

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2008 23:39

PMSL at this thread being directly above "why is my hard drive making noises like a helicopter" in active convos

WIBU to go on there and say Pavlov's DD is locked inside your pooter

FlightAttendent · 28/08/2008 23:40

We now have a family word that ds1 came out with - we still haven't corrected him though he is five

He says things are 'to-attached' to things.
