Ds has been cutting small bits of paper, putting them into a pile and saying "this is my feesis (thesis ). Ooh it is hard work doing this feesis." etc

He is currently singing a song called, as far as I can make out "Shitus Meninditis"

my ds, all of 16 months, has taken to sending the dog to his bed. He just points at bed - says ahhhheee wahweee - and dog obeys. Dog doesn't seem too unhappy though as ds has also sussed breaking in to larder and stealing dog treats for said pooch.

babalon · 13/01/2008 21:54

My 17 month old DS2 spends 5 days plus with his cousin who is 8 weeks younger, as me and my sister baby share/work. His favourite trick is to go to his cousin give him a big kiss/cuddle and very quietly remove DN's dummy or swap it with his! We weren't aware to the extent of this trick until we veiwed our family Christmas camcordering!

Went to the solictors the other day with 8mo ds. Solicitor v v slooow and possibly a bit dim. Ds sits there staring at solicitor going bwahbwahbwah and slapping himself on the head. Our thoughts exactly

My Godson (3.5) got hold of his mum's old mobile phone and was running around having 'conversations' with it. We then noticed him in the corner of the room with my mobile phone (flip phone, bit more tricky) sagely saying 'I'll never get used to this new technology'..... Didn't realise he even knew the word 'technology', altho same boy also proclaimed his roast potatoes to be 'splendid' and his new boots 'marvellous'. Again, who knows where he gets it from!!!!

ArmadilloDaMan · 13/01/2008 22:49

dilbertina that is soooo cute

ds woke me this morning by singing 'daddy has a big willy, grandad and grandad have a big willy, I have a big willy etc'.

He is a bit obsessed atm

Sushipaws · 13/01/2008 22:56

My dd (9 months) has just leaned to wave and say "Ba Ba" unfortunately she always does it about 2 minutes after our visitors have left. She also keeps trying to High Five the cat.

kidsrus · 13/01/2008 23:01

my dd is trying to shut her foot in a dvd case at this very moment whilst watching night garden

tori32 · 13/01/2008 23:11

DD has also taken to talking to her poo as it arrives on the potty She says 'hello poo!' and 'byebye' when I go upstairs with the potty. Sometimes even 'see you later!!'

tori32 · 13/01/2008 23:13

DD also tried to hoover up her wee with the toy hoover after an accident a couple of days ago saying 'clean it up!'

WowOoo · 13/01/2008 23:20

Oh man alive, this si so funny. have this and more to look forward to. DS pointed at odd (lots of make up) elderly lady today and said with feeling 'man ...sad.....juice?'!

WowOoo · 13/01/2008 23:22

He's 19 months. Mostly said NO or 'car says/ milk says/doggy says/ carrot says? to every suggestion today though.

IorekByrnison · 13/01/2008 23:37

Love man...sad...juice! Your ds is surely destined for poetic greatness

PavlovtheCat · 13/01/2008 23:50

I just did another thread and it reminded me of something odd/funny to others at least!

Took her nappy off, passed me a poo, after trying to wrap it a wetwipe...aw isnt that sweet! I actually refused to take it from her, instead said 'come with me darling, you hold it, you hold it...and got her to put it in the toilet. Of course washed her hands afterwards, but she likes doing that. And she got to flush the loo!

mybabywakesupsinging · 14/01/2008 00:13

ds1 cut his foot one day and did n't notice. When I saw blood all over the floor and a trail leading to the next room I asked him what happened and was he alright. He looked round with an expression of wonder and said "jam! jam everywhere!"

cinnamontam · 14/01/2008 00:21

My sister gave her 3 year old DS a fresh cheese scone out of the oven. He took a bite and said 'Mmm...Mum these are simply delicious.'

fortyplus · 14/01/2008 00:24

My 14 yr old son told me his first rude joke the other day - or at least the first one he's told ME!

I'll just bugger off to fb for a min 'cos I told kerrymum all about it the other day...

fortyplus · 14/01/2008 00:27

Right... here you are...

...so DS1 is JUST 14, right? He says to me in the car on the way home from school... 'Mum, someone told me a rude joke. It's really funny, but it's rude...'

Me: 'And?'

DS1: 'Well shall I tell it to you even though it's rude? It IS very funny!'

Me: OK

DS1: 'You won't tell me off for saying something rude?'

Me: 'No'

DS1: 'Promise?'

Me: (starting to wonder now, but thinking if it's that bad I need to know) 'Promise!'

DS1: 'There's a guy with no arms or legs lying on the beach, and a beautiful woman comes up to him and says "Have you ever been hugged?" and he says "No" so she gives him a big hug and he says "Thank you very much, that was lovely"

Then another beautiful woman comes up to him and says "Have you ever been kissed?" and he says "No" so she gives him a big passionate kiss and he says "Thank you very much, that was lovely"

Then the third beautiful woman comes up to him and says "Have you ever been fucked?" and he says "No"

So she says "You are now, the tide's coming in!" '

When I stopped laughing I told DS1 that NO WAY NO HOW would I EVER have told my mum or dad a joke like that!!!!

garciasangria · 14/01/2008 00:34

Ds2's latest word is begusting (used to describe everything)

Has been singing all evening, to some unknown tune, bless:

"My gonna be a fixing man
When my grow up.
My gonna keep my tools round the corner,
That be a good idea"

Earlier today sitting with the dog, going, there's willow's ears, here's my ears etc, got to tail, looked round at his bottom, and announced, "I hasn't got a tail, I got a peepee!"

Also this evening, he went for a wee on the potty in his bedroom, and decided he'd be really good, and empty the wee down the toilet, and even rinsed the pot out under the tap. Unfortunately at this point, he also had a little drink out of it too, dd came screaming downstairs to tell us, think she was begusted!

RosaLuxOnTheBrightSideOfLife · 14/01/2008 00:40

DD1 (10) is writing a novel called The Great Escape which is about a girl strangely similar to herself, who is forced to life with a family of great cruelty and low standards of personal hygiene. She has devoted several pages to listing their disgusting habits in excruciating detail.

bambam30 · 14/01/2008 18:35

my lo 2.3 has just been given a milky bar fom his dad unfortunately it had broken in two and him being highly sensitive started to cry and insisted we 'fix' i said we could'nt and so he cried no mama at me and ran into the room pushed it at the tv and said bob fix chocchoc bob FIX chocchoc it was so sweet but obviously i still had to explain it could'nt be fixed and to save the other piece for later the innocence of a child eh?

shatteredmumsrus · 14/01/2008 18:44

My 7 year old shouted up the stairs to me that my 3yo was being too rough with his ring (wrestling ring) and o tell him to play with his ring gently, he doesnt like it!

lizandlulu · 14/01/2008 18:52

my mum wears glasses and has to look over them to see something close up, like writitng, and has to hold whatever it is really close to her eyes.
my dd,2, pulled all my cards out of my purse and held them up close to her eyes, just like mum does.
it was really funny
