Ds has been cutting small bits of paper, putting them into a pile and saying "this is my feesis (thesis ). Ooh it is hard work doing this feesis." etc

He is currently singing a song called, as far as I can make out "Shitus Meninditis"

This morning, DD 18 months has been pinching my nose, ears and other body parts, and when I say ouch, that hurts, tapping my arm affectionately going 'kay?'

Has been 'washing up' at the sink (cold water, nature baby bubbles, plastic bottles and cups) sighing every now and then, like its the hardest job in the world!

Has been tap tap tapping away on the keyboard, mouse in hand clicking, sighing, and has her tongue poking out just like mummy does when she concentrates, whatever she is doing is really important.

DS1 is making me 'dinner' in his play kitchen. Today's menu special is foam dinosaurs!
DS2 is dancing to fifi & the flower tots.

DS1 announced he needs to poo in the big toilet - must go!

Ripeberry · 13/01/2008 14:26

Youngest DD2 (3yrs old) decided to go to the draw she is NEVER allowed to open and take out our passports and place them under our pillows!

My ds (4) is insisting on speaking 'French'.

He says "Jeplastighhhhrtygggrsbblestthetr".

dd (2.3) enjoys chanting "I'm a superhero" while naked except for a pair of safety goggles and a piece of pink satin worn cape-wise over her shoulders.

inamuckingfuddle · 13/01/2008 15:12

DT2 (4) is singing 'i need someone older and wiser telling me what to do' (16 going on 17 sound of music) but doesn't appreciate the irony of it

HairyIrene · 13/01/2008 17:31

ds singing his 'new' song (to tune of auld lang syne)...
should all the daddies be forgot
and never brought to mind

we'll take a cup of oil yet
for sake of all dads time

leaves dh feeling a bit unloved atm

bossykate · 13/01/2008 17:37

dd keeps talking about "the roman vampire" - she means empire.

When I was pregnant with DS, DD (4.5) would ask me to open my mouth and would then proceed to talk to her baby brother. Mostly she would tell him off for making mummy sick and would then ask him to hurry up and arrive soon so she could play with him. My jaw got v. sore from keeping my mouth open so long...

Now that DS has arrived she has taken to wandering around with a soft toy reindeer in the Baby Bjorn and feeding it.

Lalisa · 13/01/2008 19:47

DD had the norovirus recently and likes to tell people about the omlette (vomit) that came out of her mouth. She seems to find it quite amusing.

BroccoliSpears · 13/01/2008 19:52

Dd 19 mths is being a bare bear. She's starkers and 'lumbering' around the landing with her hands paws in the air squealing "BEAR!! BEAR!!" (Or possibly "BARE!! BARE!!" I suppose).

Haylstones · 13/01/2008 19:53

DD (nearly 4)overheard me talking (complaining) to dh and asked 'where IS the bloody romance?' Need to be much more careful round her in future!
(in my defence, dh was being pretty disgusting and I just didn't think about her overhearing

tori32 · 13/01/2008 20:03

dd was 2 last week and has already established a habit of wanting the MP3 and/or book on the toilet or potty .

Also, has started saying back in a second, 2 minutes, play for 5 minutes with quizzical look.

I found these funny

procrastinatingparent · 13/01/2008 20:04

DS2 loves breastfeeding his tractor when it's hungry.

chipmonkey · 13/01/2008 20:09

Ds3 is on youtube and clicking on clips of bear in the big blue house with amazing accuracy!

tori32 · 13/01/2008 20:11

Went to rememberance parade as DH in it (army) DD not wanting to stay still and quiet in church and I had forgotten her books. I thought 'I know I'll give her a wet wipe to clean as that will occupy her' She started cleaning then 5 mins later (in the middle of prayers!) looks at the wipe and shouts 'Uuugh DIRTY!' at the top of her voice. Luckily the people near us creased up laughing

UnquietDad · 13/01/2008 20:12

Oh, I so sympathise with calzone's DS. Church used to have that effect on me too!!

Ineedacleaner · 13/01/2008 21:16

Someone made a passing comment to me the other day about someone else and that they always have such lovely clothes reply from someone else yeah but the kids live off chips and beans.

The next night I was making dinner and opened the freezer, ds 20 months stood beside me peering in as I took stuff out to have a rake and what I have to say is ds is not a great speaker has great understanding but has a pushy sister who talks for him so he has a few words generally the basics.

"chips, chips, chips" he says and of course I just had to give him chips didn't I? Was one of the clearest things he has ever said

dollarprincess · 13/01/2008 21:18

My daughter has this thing where when you tell her off for doing something, she just turns around and sticks her tongue out and smiles as if to say " AND".
lol

dollarprincess · 13/01/2008 21:19

I must say i have never been on this part of mumsnet before but i am in stitches reading this one, most of all abbout the little bowy with a dust pan and brush saying " i can nvere keep up with this mess" lol.
My daughters drive me mad sometimes but we all love ours no matter what they do and when they do thing s like this it makes all the difference.

sophiewd · 13/01/2008 21:28

DD insists on having a bath every night with a hat on, takes it off just long enough to have a bath and then rams it back on head. Also has to sleep with it on, did try taking it off but was greeted with NO NO NO. She has also taken to climbing on to tiles surrounding bath and sliding back in.

Astrophe · 13/01/2008 21:32

pavlov, my DS (22 months) does something similar -

gives me a cheeky grin, head butts me, then says "oh dear...matter Mummy? Matter?...kiss?" and kisses me better.

DD (3.5) and her friend were playing 'going on holidays' yesterday with their little suitcases. They went upstairs and reappeared 20 minutes later stark naked, because they had "been sun bathing", apparently!
