Do online Aspergers tests have any truth to them?

Have thought for a long time I have a problem in social situations (I get scared when talking to people in rl and do not know what to say, I don't know when to stop talking and I seem to talk without thinking along with other problems) and have been trying to get to the root of where this comes from.

I do not think I have Aspergers but have taken an online AQ test and scored 37 which seems to be fairly high.

I am sure this is not the problem as I do not think something like that would be missed all through school etc) but perhaps there is something with similar traits?

I hope it works out better for you, I'm sure you will manage to finish your degree, try phoning them, I am sure it will help. :)

I loved maths too (done it in college and wish I had stuck to it).

I can't go the Wii, it annoys me.

Schrodinger... Elder Scrolls, Oblivion and Skyrim. Dp has had them hidden away for months in preparation for my time off, and he even managed to find a secondhand controller going cheap (our old one is totally knackered). I love fantasy rpgs and haven't gotten to play anything since dragon age origins!

Fuzzpig, a lot of people are really happy with the open degree, employers can see the list of courses you've done so they're still very relevant when job hunting and speaking as someone who's had to do a fair few compulsory course which I wouldn't have chosen otherwise... Having free choice to study what interests you is a very positive aspect.

Summer A friend messaged me today to tell me he has a working copy of Halo 4... Confused

There's been a leak alright, Microsoft are up on arms about it.

Haven't played any of the halo games... Are they as good as people claim?

SchrodingersMew · 13/10/2012 15:48

I gave up at Halo 3, I was just so excited but couldn't get into it at all. I did like them before though.

I've pretty much went off games completely now. Confused I blame (American) Netflix on the Xbox and all their crime dramas. :o

Whistling I would love to go to Uni as well but anytime I have been in a classroom enviornment I cannot handle it, I always get paranoid as I don't get on with the people and then they distract me when I am trying to learn.

I do much better studying on my own, I left school at 14 (when the panic attacks got too much) without any qualifications but studied on my own at home. I do love to learn.

Well, I phoned the OU :(

Too late to apply for interrupted study. I have apparently passed the tma half despite only doing 4 out of 6 essays (I'd got really good marks) but have to get medical proof of my illness to defer the exam. I guess that means I can't try the last 2 tmas later, so I won't get a high grade.

I want to just drop out of the course but I can't. Due to all the crap going on at home I have already dropped out of courses before and this was officially my last chance. So, if I fail this, I am not allowed to study with them ever again.

So mad at myself for not sorting this earlier and even more mad at my body for completely failing me :(

Going to go and rant on student parents board.

SummerRain · 13/10/2012 16:03

I couldn't handle school uni either, dropped out of uni and then a college course (2 weeks before exams... Was on track for all distinctions)

Ou was a revelation, I find it so much easier than dealing with face to face lessons.

You get three chances basically.

Wondering about maybe going to a campus uni one day - I think I could handle it now - but obviously my physical health may not allow it (before we even dare think of finances!)
