today in the shower I/we found some pubic hair starting when showering her down.

Its toooooo soooooon, she is slight, only 4 stone 10. I am alarmed at the swift nature mother nature is taking.

I have got DD the Bionsen one too. She doesn't need it yet but has a box of girly things in the bathroom just for her, ready for when she does.

As well as the slight physical changes (which only I seem to notice), she gets mood changes which sadly cannot be described as slight.

Someone once posted that it is important to start making time for cuddles and chats etc. when they are being pleasant at this age, as they will hopefully remember those moments as the pre-pubescent moodiness starts.

hi all pre pubescent parents, i posted on site stuff about this topic, but will also flag this for hg as suggested by Trillian. thanks

My 9 3/4 yo has 2 pubic hairs, I think, and her pits are just beginning to whiff a bit. No breasts. she's tall, weighs 5st. And no moodiness, though she's been a tempestuous child since birth and actually she is very calm and pleasant lately (am rather hoping that lasts).

I wonder how long it tends to be between these signs of early puberty and periods, does anyone know?

dd1, 11, is small and slim for her age and no sign at all of puberty.

piratecat · 11/05/2011 14:07

I don't know the time scale, that's what i have been wondering!

such a difference in your two girls.

yes, my dd2 is bigger all round, taller and bigger feet, weighs more. She's more mature emotionally too.

my 8yo niece is the most developed in puberty terms, we think she's going to hit puberty before either of mine. It's all quite odd as her mother, my sister, is tiny and always was, and was a late developer, while I am tall and was quite an early developer. there isn't any pattern to it.

My dd has had wiffy pits since 7 . She's just turned 10 and seems to have changed shape remarkably, hips, waist and bee sting boobs. She was born moody and difficult so not really noticed any difference there yet. She can't wait for her first bra and I've noticed that M&S bras start at size 28AA. no idea about pubes though, the bedroom and bathroom door is always shut these days.

piratecat, henwoman I did put something a year ago in site stuff about having a pre-teens section. Here

Dd now 10 had pubes coming over a year ago and not much has changed in that area. She seems to be going through a big change at the moment getting curvier and broader. She boobs are going from bee stings to little bumps, plus her face is changing getting longer and she lossing her baby face.

henwoman · 12/05/2011 21:53
