ds1 - tap hose hoover
ds2 - hoover (can't remember any others, he was a massively late speaker)
dd - cat cake

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 21/02/2011 18:50

DD1 - mine cat
DD2 - up boobie

aPixie · 21/02/2011 18:52

Ds1 Raran (Arran, his baby brother)

Ds2 is only 5months but his first word is definitely going to be boobies.

crystalglasses · 21/02/2011 18:55

dd1's first word was 'more'. Always liked her food

Ineedacleaneriamalazyslattern · 21/02/2011 18:57

DS1 had speech delay after hearing problems.
When they started fixing his hearing he got it back gradually so was making some sounds understandable to me but not actual words IYKWIM.
First proper thing he said was in a conversation when he was just about to turn 3.

Me: Look at the birdy DS1
DS1: It's Peacock.

I just about cried...now he never pauses for breath her is making up for lost time and I want to cry for that reason now Grin

ShowOfHands · 21/02/2011 18:57

My first word was 'helicopter'. But then I've always been a nob.

DD's first words were 'look coffee'. We were in Starbucks and I was ashamed.

Rindercella · 21/02/2011 18:57

Dd1's first word was 'cheers'

Blush Grin Wine

bilblio · 21/02/2011 19:32

Apparently my BIL's first words were "Grandad's green morris minor car" He's still obsessed with cars.

bruffin · 21/02/2011 19:40

Headfairy - DD's first word was shoes as well. She was obsessed when she was a baby, now will only wear her moshpit converses or trenchboots.
Think one of her other first words was sweet

DS's was hot

TryLikingClarity · 21/02/2011 19:41

My mum said my first word was Diane. She was Envy as Diane was the name of her best friend. But 26 years later they are still friends :)

DS's first words have been "cat", "hiya" and "night night" He will be one at the weekend :)

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 21/02/2011 19:54

My first sentence was "Get me a bocky daddy now" Grin He should be pleased though because apparently when said bocky was fetched, he had to crawl into my bedroom on his hands and knees and pass it to me through the bars of my cot. If he looked at me I would start crying.

If you ever saw his face you'd know why Wink

pantaloons · 21/02/2011 19:56

My ds's was "builder" as in Bob the.

AintMissBeehiving · 21/02/2011 19:57

DS2's first word was shoes or "shooways". His next two words were "more sweets". Together. Blush

pranma · 21/02/2011 20:00

dgs1-shoes [shuz] and cat [said always in a whisper]
dgs2-tractor!!

Ciske · 21/02/2011 20:01

After mummy/mama and daddy/papa, the next word was 'cat', closely followed by 'Lau Lau'. DD is a dedicated Waybuloo fan and very few things get more love in this house than the Lau Lau doll.

headfairy · 21/02/2011 20:02

There's a definite shoe theme developing here... dd says it more like shoooooooooooz. Very cute.

MamaVoo · 21/02/2011 20:03

DS's first word was hello. Mama came way down the list.

5inthebed · 21/02/2011 20:03

DS1 - Cheese
DS2 - Boobies
DS3 - Juice

A friend's little girl's first word was see saw which I thought was so cute.

BertieBotts · 21/02/2011 20:03

DS' first word was "look" - it was very useful Grin

whydobirdssuddenlyappear · 21/02/2011 20:05

Haha! DD's first word was 'shoes' too.
DS's was 'dirty'...

Galena · 21/02/2011 20:28

DD's first (and only word for a long time) was 'Bubbles'.

weegiemum · 21/02/2011 20:29

My ds's first word was "stick" and second word was "bikkit"

create · 21/02/2011 20:38

DS1 - Argos. Really Blush

PartialToACupOfMilo · 22/02/2011 20:36

  1. hummus, 2) cu tee (cup of tea Blush) and 3) out with a pointed figure movement. CM has a dog who sometimes tries to go into the kitchen when the dc are eating - CM points out of the room and says 'out!' Dd even saw a dog picture in a book and said it, think she thought it meant dog Grin

At the moment all she says is ta, da and mamamama

aimingforthesky · 22/02/2011 21:12

Asda! (we were in tescos at the time) Grin
