I know a Nye, he is about 5, he is lovely.

I like them all except Casper but i'm not sure why I don't really like it.

I like it more than Dp, as i like short three letter names, like our oldest DD1, have long surmame. just dont like long names with 3 or 4 syllables.

I like Dexter - can't have it for DC3 though as we already have a Felix and it would be just weird. I also like Casper but DH is against it.

In that case I quite like Nye.

The only one of those I don't like is Ralph.

When I was a young teen I read all the Judy Blume books (I'm sure I'm not alone here...anyone else?) and in one of them, I don't recall which, the hero named his nob Ralph. So, for me, Ralph will always be a penis.

Really don't like all the others. To me they are all what the class nerd would be called. BUT I am very old so very untrendy, which might explain my views.

In order of preference.

1: Nye, if you put Aneurin on the birth certificate is fab.

2: Ralph, if pronounced Rafe is good too.

3: Casper, it's alright. The 'friendly ghost' association puts me off. Cassius is miles better.

4: Rupert, it's ok but only if you're posh enough to carry it off.

5: Dexter, yuck sorry. Serial killer comes to mind and also too trendy and try hard.

A really naff downmarket person I know has just named her DS Dexter so i would steer clear of that personally. Her other DS is Jaidon which is similar in style.
