just came across a child i thought was named Christian. nice name thinks i.

until i seer the spelling.

Krisjan.

what an unusual spelling i think, maybe it is some regional spelling and the parents are foreign or something. so i ask mum where the name comes from.

"oh its from my husband kris and myself Janet. we made it up" all proud like.

Or Gresa... Sagre... Depends how you splice it...

tinuelena · 13/04/2009 00:52

Goodness. I would have been Rocki (Roy + Vicki.)

My DD would be Marabeth... I suppose that's not horrible. At least it's not Dill or Anal snicker

AutumnMists · 13/04/2009 01:08

Snurk

Jogret or Marohn for me and my brother

Lenan and Anord for Dh and BIL

Davel or Elavid for dcs

actually there is something in this splicing lark ...

nooka · 13/04/2009 06:46

Sounds like a whole cast of Science Fiction or Fantasy charactors! I might have been Clarius (think that would work better for db) maybe Marire, dh could have been Sylal or Alvia (again better for one of his sisters). All dire.

eandh · 13/04/2009 08:27

the dd's would be

Chriselle
Michetopher

mmmm our names are crap mixed up

gagamama · 15/04/2009 17:16

DSD would be Rota
DS1 would be Job
DS2 would be Rules
DD would be Roles

Genius. I could tell my kids off and sound like I'm conducting some sort of important motivational business meeting!

Gorionine · 15/04/2009 17:21

LOL gagamama!

womblingalong · 15/04/2009 17:32

Parek is an actual Indian name!

fruitbeard · 15/04/2009 18:22

I'd have been Alexicia or Patrander

DH would have been Inghn (sounds like a noise you'd make on the loo) or Johge

DD would be Daverine or Cathid...

If my niece and her boyf had a baby (god forbid, they're only 16), it would be Jannthony, which I'm sure I've actually heard someone calling across a supermarket...

lottiejenkins · 15/04/2009 18:37

When my late father was growing up he knew sisters called Maureen Pauline and Doreen, when their brother was born a man in the pub was alleged to have said "I spose he's going to be called Urine!" He was actually called Martin!
