Iv already got a Leah and a Rylee, both lil girls and im due to have lil girl number 3 in June, kinda getting stuck on names 3rd time round. I like

Bayli, Bali
Grace
Kaitleyn, Caitlen

What do you think?? Bayli is my favorite but im not sure if its 2 unusual for a girl!!! x

Georgia - lovely name

LittleMissBliss · 23/03/2009 19:36

really Bayli is a legit way of spelling Bailey?

Bali... that would def always be pronounced like the place.

What about just Bay?

Kaitelyn with an 'e'.

Well i tjink they will look miss-spelt to many people.

3lilgirlsxxx · 23/03/2009 19:36

I wanted a name that would sound ok with the other two, that is the only reason i put their names on here.
I didnt think that so many people would go out of their way to be awful about them.
You must have a really boring life to go out of your way to be a bitch to someone you dont even know. I dont worry how my children will grow up because of their name or how it is spelt. I can imagine how yours will be if they take after you, theyl be the bullys at school that obviously never learnt that if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing!

I'm just being honest.

It wasnt aimed at you LittleMissBliss, didnt mean any offence.

Can i once again say, i am not making up the spellings of these names, it is how i have seen them spelt on websites or in baby name books.

LittleMissBliss · 23/03/2009 19:42

Please don't get upset you did ask!
You also stated be honest.
We are not bullying just suggesting that maybe using more conventional spellings may be the way forward.

This is a bit like an AIBU thread where the OP is convinced they aren't. Its all a matter of opinion. You will name your little girl what ever you and you dp think is best and i'm sure it will suit her. Please don't get cross.

I know it's horrible when someone insults a name choice. It is a very personal thing. I won't be telling anyone in RL untill this LO is born, its harder for people to be rude when the baby is born. (although that is not always the case as you have seen on this thread)

Please don't take it to heart. These people don't know you and it is completley your choice. Even if it isn't a great hit on mumsnet

At least Apple wasn't in your list of choices

minesacheeseandpicklesandwich · 23/03/2009 19:56

I have to say, I do love the way some people are trying to carry on on this thread as if there is no arguing or catcalling going on whatsoever...

traceybath · 23/03/2009 20:44

Honestly baby names threads are getting worse than aibu ones.

People are just so mean and i agree with mrs woolf that its bad form to criticise existing children's names. I also understand why the OP mentioned them - she wants a name that works with them.

But back to the point - Georgia is lovely.

singyswife · 23/03/2009 20:50

FWIW I actually know a little girl called Bailey. She really suits it and no one bats an eye lid when they hear it. She is lovely.

mooseloose · 23/03/2009 20:59

There is a little girl in ds class called 'Rylee', aged 6, and i've always thought it was nice. And I know a lady called 'Bayley', and thats okay too! Just unusual.

I do think it is uncalled for to comment on her other childrens' names, after all, she can hardly change them now, even if she wanted to!

Agree with LittleMissBliss, btw, I never told anyone the names until they were chosen and a fait accompli. I learnt my lesson on that when pg with ds1 and MIL slated all my girls name choices and put dh off all of them! Luckily ds1 was a boy or I would have been livid!

How about Maia?

FairLadyRantALot · 24/03/2009 13:42

chipmonkey, funny you should suggest Maia...I know a sibling combo of Maia ans Leah!

And agree it is not necessary to comment on op's existing children's name....she put them up there in order for people to get an idea of names she likes/wants to match 3'rd dd's name with the other two....not have the fun poked out of them
