Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
piscesmoon · 22/03/2009 22:07

Only Grace.

Plonker · 22/03/2009 23:05

Bayli/Bali - Not keen on this, it sounds made up somehow
Grace - Very pretty name. Timeless classic.
Kaitleyn, Caitlen - I really like this but I prefer it spelled Caitlin.

Brooke goes well with your other dd's names.
Not keen on Sasha and jade as they remind me of the bratz dolls (but my dd's are at 'that age' and so the connection won't be forever!)
I'm not overly keen on Paige.
Love Mia and much prefer Mia to Mya.

MargotBeauregardesGavel · 23/03/2009 12:22

Gracie or Caitlin

Not Bayli.

Bayli/Bali - no and no!
Grace - Very pretty name. Also like Hope

Kaitleyn, Caitlen - Lovely but please spell it Caitlin! NN Caitie / Cait

Brooke is nice but many pronounce it like "bruck" and not the long "oo" sound in the middle which puts me off!

Don't like Sasha,Jade & paige

Love Mia and much prefer Mia to Mya.But also like Maia / Maya

TabithaTwitchet · 23/03/2009 15:05

Grace is pretty, Caitlin/Caitlyn is pretty. I think Bayli is a bit strange, how about just Bay?

TabithaTwitchet · 23/03/2009 15:07

Also think Lacey is v nice.

How about Bella?

MadameCastafiore · 23/03/2009 15:10

Grace is nice.

Bayli - is that something you have made up?

pranma · 23/03/2009 15:23

when I was ateacher there were two girls in my class named Jill, coincidentally they had the same surname so one started writing her name as Gylle. It is a bit pointless to have an odd spelling of an existing name eg Bayli instead of Bailey,it just over complicates things.I like Grace and Caitlin of your choices but ultimately your child, your choice.

Nancy66 · 23/03/2009 18:39

I like Grace from your choices but none of the rest.

To echo the others - whatever you choose, please spell it properly. Spelling a name incorrectly doesn't make you look individual it just makes you - and ultimately your kid -look thick.

MrsMattie · 23/03/2009 18:42

Grace.

Caitlin is the Gaelic Irish spelling for Kathleen. The Yanks decided it was pronounced 'Kate-Lynn' and sent it back to us as that. Just wanted to point that out.

hedgiemum · 23/03/2009 18:53

Grace (or Gracie if you want something a bit different). Georgia also ok.

You seem to like Irish-inspired names; how about Keira/Ciara, or Catriona (pronounced Katrina) which could also be shortened to Katie/Catie.

Agree with Mrs Mattie about Caitlin. If I see that written down, I call the child Catch-leen as this is how it is pronounced in the part of Ireland where DH is from.

minesacheeseandpicklesandwich · 23/03/2009 19:02

I have known a female Bailey - she was very much a tomboy though!

And agree with posters telling you to spell names correctly. I have a not uncommon name but there are still two ways to spell it and it's very annoying to always have to say 'without the...'. To back up Nancy66, if you want to look like an individual and not just illiterate (or drunk when you went to register) pick something unusual and don't just go changing the spelling to suit yourself. Your child will not love you for it.

3lilgirlsxxx · 23/03/2009 19:05

My partner is Irish and he named my second daughter Rylee after a member of his family. So DIEDANDGONETODEVON how does that make my daughters name common?? You dont know me or my family so dont judge me.
I have a polish surname so i am more that used to people not being able to spell my name or say it properly.

Everyone else thanks for the suggestions its just a shame some people on this thread think that me asking for ideas means that they can insult my childs name and myself.

Leah
Rylee
Bayli

All go together very well imho

Supercherry · 23/03/2009 19:06

Grace is lovely but there are far too many of them for it to be useable imo. Caitlin is lovely.

Bayli- not sure about this one.

Try and ignore some of the more catty posts. It is snobbery. Personally I don't think there is anything more common than bad manners.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 23/03/2009 19:11

You didn't ask for ideas, you asked for 'honest opinions'.

I don't think you wanted honest opinions really

CoteDAzur · 23/03/2009 19:19

Alexis is a boy's name. It means "defender".

Sasha is also a boy's name. Nickname, rather. It is the short form of Alexander in Russia. (like the guy poisoned in London)

If you like Bailey, you might also like Chardonnay.

Supercherry · 23/03/2009 19:19

A polite honest opinion is 'I like it' or 'I don't like it' or words to that effect. The op didn't ask for opinions on her children's names- just on possible names for her unborn. I think it is pretty obvious when you are going to offend someone on here and to do so intentionally is rather mean.

LittleMissBliss · 23/03/2009 19:25

I agree with spelling names correctly. i always when i see made up different spellings. You can have an unusual name and spell it correctly.

3lilgirlsxxx · 23/03/2009 19:27

Where does it say comment on the names of the childen i already have?

OP posts:
CoteDAzur · 23/03/2009 19:28

If you are so sensitive about people commenting on your DDs' names, you shouldn't have mentioned them.

They have no bearing on your question re name for your next baby, anyway.

3lilgirlsxxx · 23/03/2009 19:30

I have not made up any spellings of names, i have looked at names on web sites and that is how they are spelt. I wasnt trying to raise and issue with spelling!

OP posts:
morningpaper · 23/03/2009 19:32

Georgia and Grace are nice

LittleMissBliss · 23/03/2009 19:33

I think maybe Brooke or Gracie/Grace would work best out of the names you have chosen.
