Have finally convinced DH to change her name and want to do it asap so I can move on and worry about other things! Both of us like either name, Imogen is my first choice (but our surname starts with an 'm'and ends in 'n' therefore bit of a mouthful) and Ellen is his first choice but there are problems as we live in a place were people drop 'h' therefore potential Helen / Ellen confusion.

I think Imogen is beautiful and 'Imogen (old name)' is a lovely combo! Good on you for getting it sorted there and then

I hope you feel good about it all now and can enjoy Imogen all the more without this playing on your mind.

What a lovely post Ronaldinhio and so very true. It describes my dd1 to a tee
Ellen is a beautiful name. It is also a woman's name not just a young girl's name.
