Eden or Tallula?

After my partner shunning all 50 names on my list (except Tallula) and after me cringing at his few offerings (except Eden) we are now down to these 2 names.I love them both. Just don't know which way to go. So here I am.......

Depends how you want to spell it? Need to decide on the name first. thought it would be easier that way if shortening to Lula.

That's a bit strong. it doesn't seem slutty at all to me. I think it's more cute.

I love both. One of my good mates is called Eden .

I don't think Tallula is slutty at all, I think it's sweet.

Also there are lots of cute shorty versions in there to plunder; Tally, Lulu, Lula.

there is another baby name thread regarding the name tallulah, and on there the words hooker and chav have been used too

i think some people can be a bit ott in their opinions on names when a simple "i prefer x,y,z" would suffice

dd2 usually has hers shortened to lula

Tallulah is the Jodie Foster character in Bugsy Malone, so maybe some of the comments are based on that? I must admit, it's not my cup of tea but you should call your child what you want.

tallulah is great, tally is a fab name. My eldest daughterh is 21, her name is Caithlin, when she was a baby, we used to call her caity-lou, which became tallulah, she loves it. and she is not in the least bit slutty, or chav, she is just beautiful. tallulah is a great name, and Tally, or Lula are lovely too.

There are quite a few Tallulahs in this neck of the woods. I always thought it was a 'my parents work in the arts or media' sort of name and not at all chavvy or slutty - although there is the Bugsy Malone angle.

Of your two choices, I prefer Tallulah - Eden is a bit too gender-neutral for my taste.

Hi lou33 ! I also have a Tallulah who's a bit older than than yours, who's bright, beautiful and very intelligent. who loves her name and has never had any bad comments throughout the years about her name.

She's also definately not at all a chav or prostitute.
