It is lovely, I have liked it for a couple of years but have noticed it appears to be making a comeback in The Times birth register, so could have potential to turn "rancid" in a few years.

My LO (11 weeks) is called Emmy! It is such a sweet name (but I am biased)! We've had a few people think it's Emily but on the whole they get it first off.

This is in our top five names for DD2 .

Yes it sounds similar, esp if shortened to Emmy, but it is different.

No it's a totally different name to Emily!

I like that too. It's a name you can be anything with. You'll have to give her a good briefing on the suffragettes though - she may spend a bit of time saying -'yes - as in Pankhurst'

First thought it Pankhurst as soon as i read the name, but hey, there are worse people to share a name with
