Is this a big no-no?

Maybe middle name?

Is this the prospective Lydia?

pooka · 26/07/2008 15:27

My mother was born on boxing day and has Noelle as a middle name. Maybe middle name would be good, if you want to? Unless you love the name holly.

pooka · 26/07/2008 15:28

Lydia Noelle?

DisenchantedPlusBump · 26/07/2008 15:29

Lydia is just a name I like, nothings definate.

In fact DH really doesn't like it so I think Im back to the drawing board

Its fecking stressfull!

Noelle is lovely!

I think using a name just cos lo born at xmas is naff.

pooka · 26/07/2008 15:29

But then if she was telling someone on the phone her name, would sound a little like "Lydia, no-L" i.e. ydia?

hughjarssss · 26/07/2008 15:29

Robin

DisenchantedPlusBump · 26/07/2008 15:30

PMSL pooka, it would!!

That really made me laugh!

I rather like Noelle too.
But I think the main thing is that it should be a name that you really like, and if it's seasonally appropriate, then fine. As a middle name you can get away with much more.

snooks · 26/07/2008 15:31

I love Christy (for any time of the year), dh doesn't though...

pooka · 26/07/2008 15:31

Unless your dh would be mre keen on "Ydia". Is unusual, granted.

DisenchantedPlusBump · 26/07/2008 15:31

One of my work colleagues was born on Xmas Day and he was called Noel. He hated it.

QuintessentialShadows · 26/07/2008 15:32

And from Pookas funny post, I sugest : Belle Noelle

DisenchantedPlusBump · 26/07/2008 15:32

Dh Said if she is overdue we should call her January Sales.

QuintessentialShadows · 26/07/2008 15:34

I am liking your dh. Three fortwo

DisenchantedPlusBump · 26/07/2008 15:37

I know... the possibilities if we were cruel!

Dh said he used to get ''firstname' Sales the seven seas'

Stupid kids, its not even the right kind of Sales ... all that scope for name calling and they missed it.

Ejits.

Her birthday will be overshadowed by Christmas every year. I wouldn't give her an every day reminder. Pick a name you like

differentID · 26/07/2008 16:05

Natalia is beautiful, very appropriate and yet the meaning isn't obviously going to link her birth to xmas.

DisenchantedPlusBump · 26/07/2008 16:06

We have a Natalia already int he family.

I think ill just stick to any names, its hard enough as it is without christmassy limitations!

hollyandnoah · 26/07/2008 16:13

My name's Holly, but i was born in July lol.

I love Noelle.

Two of my friends, they are twins, were born just after christmas, they are called Caroline and Angela.
Caroline because of Christmas carols, and Angela because of the Angel Gabriel/angel on the top of tree.

BUT nothing wrong with Holly i say!

JulesJules · 26/07/2008 16:33

Natalie, Natalia, Holly... Jesus...

rolymoma · 26/07/2008 16:37

my dd was due xmas day (in the end a few days late) but id settled on clementine as i thought it was quite a christmassy fruit - i still chose it even tho not the big day itself

hollyandnoah · 26/07/2008 16:49

lol it could be so much worse Jules.

JackieNo · 26/07/2008 16:51

DS was born 3 days before Christmas, and we did consider Robin, but decided not to go down the Christmassy name route.
