They are sound American to me, execept Autumn. I much prefer your husband's choices, especially Cassia and Thea.

Autumn and Hunter are ok. The rest are awful.

Yes because most of them sound like surnames. In fact one of them is my maiden name.

Yes they all sound like American names to me. It's more common there to use surnames as first names, which all your boys' names are. And the girls' names sound like characters from US TV shows rather than UK classrooms. Nothing wrong with that - just how the names come across.

Yes, all but Autumn. The 'rugged surnames as first names' thing is culturally deeply US, and the girls names generally suggest someone whose taste was honed on American TV series and bloggers. There was a terrible Mommy blogger a while back, the type who would drag a large wooden dresser out into the woods behind her Florida house and have a friend in New England send her a box of autumn leaves so she could take large colour photos of her offspring having carefully-curated, monetisable fun. One of her daughters was called Lainey Love.

If you really want to stir things up suggest Athea. It's a real name of Greek origin and a place in Ireland.

There was a thread on Reddit a while back where everyone argued it should be Althea or Anthea or Athena. 😁.
DS 2 goes to school with an Athea, I think it's a nice name. She pronounces it A-thee-a.
