Thoughts and impression of Carrie? It doesn't bother me that it's a bit outdated (as I'm not keen on the more modern popular names) but wonder if there is anything else that I'm missing.

Not a fan of horror films then?

Well it's sweet and perfectly fine - as a shortening of Caroline. Caroline is a lovely classic name and that gives her the option on what to be called when she's older.

Caroline shortened to Carrie. Not Carrie on it’s own.

Love it, like Carrie Fisher. I like mid century names like that. Possible people will assume it's short for Carol or Caroline. I think Carol also has nice retro vibes.

As for the horror film, that wouldn't be my first association, I would think of Carrie Bradshaw in SATC and And Just Like That, and also Laura's little sister in Little House on the Prarie before I thought of the horror film/Stephen King book.

I absolutely love the name Carrie. I wouldn't think of Caroline Flack

There is someone in my life (an acquaintance) that I don't get on well with called Caroline. She's ruined the name for me.

I love Carrie. I had never heard Caroline Flack being called Carrie so don’t assume everyone will make that association.

I like it a lot and it would have been top of my list but it didn't go with their surname.

I wouldn't, but for me Carrie always conjures up Stephen King's horror film where she burned everyone to death.
